We have developed an IoT sensor using the STM32WLE5JC LoRa module. It is a device we expect to reboot a few times (when necessary).  It was discovered that when a downlink command (to reboot the device) is sent, the device reboot, but then it hangs during the join process.After much debugging, it looks like NVM context data is corrupted. Then I disabled context management by setting the flag CONTEXT_MANAGEMENT_ENABLED to 0. . After this, the device consistently joins after a reboot. We can also see that keys are cleared and the join process is fresh each time.Additional context: According to lorawan_conf.h, where CONTEXT_MANAGEMENT_ENABLED is defined, the comments state that "context management must be enabled for LoRaWAN 1.0.4 or later ". We ar currently on LoRaWAN version 1.0.3 and don't expect that to change for the foreseeable future.Question - Are there an

Hello,i am working with the STM32F401RE board along with the IHM02A1 expansion board. I am using the X-CUBE-SPN2 package.I am working with a predefined project from X-CUBE-SPN2 and modifying it according to my requirements. I am defining all the GPIO pins, using some as input and some as output.However, I am facing a problem with GPIO pins PA13 and PA14. These pins are used for the debugger by default. I do not want to use the debugger and instead want to use these pins as input/output.I want to know how to disable the debug function for these pins and directly flash the program to the board. I have also tried using the “green icon” menu to flash, but it is not working.This is quite urgent. I would really appreciate your guidance on how to resolve this issue.Thank you so much in advance.

Hello, I am working on simple program to read ADC using the STM32u585QII microcontroller. I am using polling method in Scan mode on 4 channels. All set as 14 bit but understood the readin will be in 12 bit. The problem is the values I am getting are not reflecting the real value at the input. I am receiving something like  1586 cnts on 1st and 3rd channel and 2395 cnts on 2nd and 4th channel. Values make no sense assuming I have stable (verified with oscilloscope) voltage 1.61V. Vref is 2.5V external. Also when I am trying change voltage at the inputs the reading doesn't change. Hello,I need to communicate with a component whose configuration register expects a 9-bit value. However, my current SPI setup sends data in 8-bit chunks.In this case, what would be the correct approach? Should I send two bytes back-to-back? Hello,I have a NUCLEO-L476RG and after update the firmware of the ST-Link V2.1 embedded on the board, stops to communicate. I want to know if it's possible to downgrade this firmware. If yes, how can i do the downgrade?Thanks!!!

When the MCU is placed in Standby Mode, where does the CPU begin to execute when exiting the mode? (for example, on an RTC event)  Is it a reset or a return from interrupt?  RM0394 isn't clear on this. 

Hello,I am currently trying to modify the schematic of the X-NUCLEO-NFC08A1 to support the connection of any commercial NFC antenna.From my understanding, I need to add a standard RF connector (SMA/U.FL/IPEX, etc.). Since commercial antennas are typically designed with a 50-ohm impedance, I believe the matching network may need to be redesigned as well. However, I am new to PCB and RF design, so I am not very experienced yet.I would greatly appreciate any guidance or advice on the basic steps to achieve this. Hi all, I am trying to use FDCAN with Baud rate switch (500 kB / 2 MBit) activated and I want to send 64 Byte. Processor is STM32H7A3. Project was set up with CubeMX V. 6.11.1 and HAL FW_H7 V1.11.2. Clock for FDCAN is 80 MHz.   The problem is that the system only sends with 500 kB and 8 Bytes only. I am transmitting the data to my PC using a PEAK USB dongle (FDCAN capable with BRS) and in parallel check the messages on a scope.  I don't know, why it doesn't switch to 2 MBit and I only see  8 Bytes with 500 kBit on my scope and on PCAN-Explorer. Hi all,I’m working with the W5500 Ethernet module over SPI on an STM32 with Trust-zone enabled. The W5500 requires a clock source for proper operation, which I’m trying to provide using the MCO on the CS pin.The issue is that I’m not able to enable the Master Clock Output (MCO), neither in the secure project nor in the non-secure project using CubeMX. Because of this, I can’t feed the required clock to the W5500.Has anyone managed to enable MCO in a Trust-Zone setup, or know if there’s a specific way to configure it so that it works in the non-secure region?Thanks for any help!

Hi，I would like to in-live upgrade firmware of STM32F407 through USART1, that means  in-application program(IAP) . If I remember right, there need a trigger signal from key meanwhile NRST is low.My question is that the Key signal could be connected to any GPIO I/O of STM32F407 except those dedicated pin, right?  Is there special point to care about selection of  Key I/O pin? Thanks in advance!Best regards!Jason

Hi,We have a STM32H7B3 which uses TouchGFX (4.25.0) for GUI with external flash for storing images, texts, fonts etc. The storing and reding of images, text, fonts from external flash works fine for us in our current product. In a new design we want the code generated by TouchGFX to also be stored on external flash and be XIP from external flash. How can I make TocuhGFX map the code that it generates to external flash. There is a lot of code that gets generated and manually using the __attribute__((section("ExtFlashSection"))) for each function is not possible. Hi, I use VS Studio Code for programming my STM32, but i have a problem for uploading firmware. I use STM32Cube add-on but can't communicate with my ST-Link. When I use the same code with STM32 Cube IDE (STM32 Cube programmer), the firmware can upload without problem.After compile, the windows open for choosing a program to open my .elf file. No error on compile, just my firmware file open in terminal. Thanks for help.

Hello,  I am working on implementing the CR95HF RFID reader into a project, and I'm having some trouble with the external crystal starting; I'm wondering if anyone has had a similar issue.  On my design I have the CR95HF connected to an NRF52840 MCU through UART. When I send the ECHO command (0x55) over the UART bus, I do not get any response from the chip. I have verified the following: The chip is properly receiving 3.3V at all of its power supply pins. The SSI_0 and SSI_1 pins are properly tied to ground to select UART communication Baudrate for UART is set to 57600, the default for this chip I pulse the UART_RX/IRQ_IN pin low for ~150us on startup to properly select the protocol On an oscilloscope, I can see that the XOUT pin that goes to the crystal rises to just above 0.5V on powerup, but the crystal never begins oscillation (see attached image). Hello,I can run older TCP/IP examples on my F767 Nucleo but I want to start fresh and understand what is going on.Basic project started with CubeIDE/CubeMX code generation. FreeRTOS, LWIP, fixed IP => Does not answer to ping. Turns out MX_LWIP_Init() never returns.If I step into the ethernetif initialisation code, I see that anywhere  HAL_Delay(ETH_REG_WRITE_DELAY) is called within stm32f7xx_hal_eth.c, it never returns, unless I step into it from the debugger and go step by step (and see uwTickFreq increment) until HAL_Delay returns.I understand the time base is a common issue often because of the interrupt priorities, but I think I have everything setup correctly. I am using Timer 6 as a tick source, with its IT priority set to 0. Again, I do see uwTickFreq increment if I run the code step by step.I removed MX_LWIP_Init() from the code and add

Hello,I wrote a custom bootloader (that loads firmware image from an external flash) for a device that was using an STM32WL55CCU6. Now I want to use the same bootloader on a device with a similar uC, the STM32WL5MOCH6TR.The bootloader works correctly up and until the point where it needs to jump to the main application.
