Hi, just looking to learn the best way to do this. We're aiming to create a system for STM32H7R/S where the bootloader acts as USB MSC device to store a number of different app binaries to a permanently-mounted SD card. At system restart, the booloader needs to let the user chose which of the binaries to load from the SD card (the system has a small touch screen). The bootloader would then load the binary from the SD card into the fast internal RAM and run it there. Is the External Memory Loader a good way to do this? Is this use case supported by CubeMX? Is there a good set of examples or "howto" documents?

I have some Pulse induction metal detector analog designs that I want to "digitalize" using a Stm32f407vet6 board. Unfortunately, these designs use the battery positive as ground. My intention is to power the Stm32 from the +5v rail of the detector power supply and then use logic in the Stm32 to generate the pulse timings and to read the preamp output with the ADC to check for metal detecting and eventually add some kind of discrimination logic.My problem is the detector design that uses VB+ as ground so how can I power the stm32 properly and also give the ADC correct vref ?I attached the pulse induction detector schematic I want to use as base and also the stm32f407vet6 schematic.Thanks for the help.

We are in need of an Isolated Flyback DC/DC Converter design to work with a 24 to 96V battery system. It is to be a 15-140V input to 12V output voltage and, 4-5A nominal 9A peak output current converter. We want to use the Würth transformer "749196547", for its ease on customization. Such as the option of paralleling all the secondary windings in order to reach the output current requirements.  We would appreciate any suggestions to help us best solve this design challenge. Such as the choice in using either a high voltage supply PWM controller or using one of the primary windings as auxiliary supply for the PWM controller. Guys currently I am working on STM 32 H7 board and trying to achieve 3.6MSPS as per mentioned in an datasheet, after many tries currently I can able to take 175k samples/second as 12 bit resolution ADC values using an USB FS but if they claimed to be 3.6MSPS is achievable means then we can achieve it right?? here I have attached my code that can get max of 175 samples only but I have to achieve more, help me to get out this problem

Today I bought a new NUCLEO-H563ZI board and downloaded the STM32CubeH5 main software package from www.st.com. But when I compile the example "STM32CubeH5 main \ Projects \ NUCLEO-H563ZI \ Applications \ NetXDuo \ Nx_UDP_Cho_Server" with IAR, it prompts that some files is missing. I had to download the missing files from elsewhere and put them in. Finally, the compilation passed, but after burning the out file into the board, the program could not run properly. After debugging, it was found that there was a DMA error in the Ethernet. I changed an other example to compile, burn, and debug. the same mistake. I don't know how to solve it. By the way the net cable and the led of the ethnet socket CN14 is ok. Can ST provide a complete examples package for the NUCLEO-H563ZI board?

According to my understanding if TIMClockFreq = 170MHz then the time is T = 1/170Mhz i get overflow after 65535, so if the number of overflows are OverflowCnt then the total time elapsed will be 65535*1/170MHz*OverflowCnt + Input capture timer registers. 

We actually experience the problem that the address of the SysTick_Handler is read incorrectly from the memory address of the SysTick ISR in the memory. This leads to a memory management error when the system counter reaches 0 and the SysTick interrupt is fired. When reading the memory, there is the correct address for the Systick_Handler displayed, as shown in the following screenshot. However, when the SysTick interrupt is fired, the system crashes as shown in the following screenshot, although the address in the memory does not change.

Hi all,Please help to point me where I did a wrong.  I have different widget on the main screen, and when I switched back and forth, the main screen (where there are most widgets implemented) intermittently not display all the widgets.  Sometime I got text box not display, sometime I got the toggle button not display but just show the rectangular box showing the button box.  For example, in this picture, the whole square box (this is the area for the toggle button) dis empty showing the gray area.The behaviors seems like the widgets not display are the one toward the end of the widgets list. 

Hi everyone. I have a STM32H745I-Disco board and I am using both TouchGFX and CubeIDE to make a project with the board. So the issue I am encountering is that when I wrote or made some adjustments in the both applications the project seems fine (when i built the project in CubeIDE it gave 0 errors or the simulator in the TouchGFX worked just fine) but when I try to debug to project in to the board using the debugger in the TouchGFX the application shows it debugged just fine but there is nothing showing up on the board afterwards. When I try to debug a blank new created project it shows up on the screen but when I'm trying to debug a project with some images or fdcan codes with it the issue I've just said shows up. I don't know what's the problem.

Hello,I have developed a custom board based on the MB997E reference design, which uses the EMIF02-USB03F2 for USB EMI filtering and ESD protection. Since this component has been declared obsolete, I would like to know:What is the recommended replacement part from STMicroelectronics for EMIF02-USB03F2?If no direct replacement exists, what are the suggested alternative solutions (e.g., other ST EMI/ESD filter ICs, or combination of discrete ESD diodes and common-mode chokes) that can be used in new designs?Are there any application notes or migration guidelines provided for updating designs that currently rely on EMIF02-USB03F2?This information would help me update my design to ensure long-term availability and compliance.

I adapted the official BSP example code (available at https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stm32cubeu5.html, stm32cubeu5-v1-8-0.zip) to acquire and process audio. My code is running very slowly on the board. We thought the slowdown might be due to other features enabled by default that I don’t need. Therefore, I created a project from scratch, enabling only the pins I need, but I’m doing something wrong with the GPDMA1 and MDF1/ADF1 filter configuration (even callbacks don't work). Could you provide an example .ioc file with the integrated microphone configured correctly (with GPDMA1) or, alternatively, the BSP .ioc project itself (which is not included in the official example you provide)? I am trying to use X-CUBE-ST67W61M1 but I am failing to read any data with COM port set as document um3449 indicates (I am currently using a UART-TTL converter connected on CN7 of X-NUCLEO-ST67W61M1). I am trying to update the X-NUCLEO-ST67W61M1 firmware to see if anything changes, but NCP_update_mission_profile.bat from X-CUBE-ST67W61 does not support update with my Nucleo board. Are there any ways to bypass this problem?Moreover, any ideas about why I am not reading anything sensible from the X-NUCLEO-ST67W61M1 UART port? Thanks in advance for any advice

Hello, I am using the STM32CubeMonitor software for the first time and find it very helpful. My question is about the root cause for erroneous zero values in the time series displayed by the STM32CubeMonitor software. It's first first use was monitoring the joystick x/y displacement signals of the Adafruit Gamepad QT. Question: What is the root cause for the phenomenon of erroneous zero values? Are parameters in my Basic Flow configuration incorrect? (Note: the zero values are not consistently present in the graphs, sometimes the signals are 'clean'.)Question: where are the Monitor Flow files saved on disc (Windows 11).Technical details:Figure 1 shows the test setup with the Gamepad and the Nucleo-G071RB board. Hi, My board consists of stm32h733 that interfaces SDRAM via FMC. I want to execute code from SDRAM. Code is loaded from external flash(OCTOSPI) to SDRAM at address 0xc0700000.But running the code from this region causes hard-fault disabling the Debug Port. After this I'm unable to flash firmware into the hardware. I have to bring board into "connection under reset" by connecting BOOT0 to 3.3v and NRST to GND. I have tried with multiple test firmware but always got into hard-fault. Why MCU disables, it's debug port? While debugging in the disassembly I can execute firmware running from SDRAM one by one line, but at some point code hard-fault, causing it to stuck into the above told situation. Hello，I am using MCSDK6.4.0 on STM32G431CBT6 for motor drive development.The generated code runs without any modifications. When using the Motor Pilot tool to start the motor,the chip crash, and there is no change in the motor. Debugging reveals that the program randomly enters NMI_Handler,HardFault_Handler, and FMAC_IRQHandler when starting the motor (after entering FMAC_IRQHandler several times during the first programming run,it does not enter again). I am using STMCubeMX 6.3.0. The chip's power supply is measured to be normal, and no reset has occurred.Below is a screenshot of the interrupt entry. What is the cause of this issue, and how can it be resolved.

I use STWD100NY Watchdog IC and for now, i can not achieve what i want. The problem is about to get output from the WDO pin. I did not connect the WDO to the MCU but i connect it to drive a relay. I set up my timer to 4 seconds. Even if it exceeds the twd time, i can not get the signal from WDO pin. I attach my drawings below and needs your help. My Vcc is 5V( most setups use 3.3v but i think that i can choose it 5V according to datasheet ). R25 and R26 resistors are optional.
