Hey all,I’m trying to squeeze the lowest possible STOP1 current out of an STM32U031F8P6 (TSSOP-20), no external crystals. The board itself looks fine: in the deepest mode (Shutdown/Standby) I see < 0.5 µA, so I don’t think it’s a hardware leak.Goal (later): run ADC at 1 kHz triggered by LPTIM1 from LSI, push to DMA (circular), and only wake after 1000 samples (DMA TC). While that runs, the core should sit in STOP1 (low-power regulator).Problem (now, with everything stripped):Even with a minimal firmware that goes straight to STOP1 and (supposedly) nothing enabled, I measure ~5–6 µA average at room temp. The current trace shows a baseline of ~4.2–5 µA with short spikes to ~10–12 µA every ~100 ms. Hey STM community,I have a G431RB & IHM16M1 however whenever i try to run the motor pilot, i cant seem to connect to the board. I  have made sure all the necessary link drivers are installed, i have made the baudrate  115200, 8bit all to match up with the software but i consistently get no connection. My cube ide, motor workbench and motor pilot are all up to date and i have the associated packages( the G4 library v1.61) installed in cube-mx.Thanks 

Hello, I am using the STM32F407VGT6 microcontroller for a project involving GPIO interrupts, but the interrupt is not triggering reliably. Hello everyone,I’m currently working with the ST25DV04K chip and I’ve noticed two points that are a bit confusing:There doesn’t seem to be any way to change the RF passwords via I²C.I couldn’t find any command that allows a full factory reset (including resetting the passwords).My questions are:Is this really the case, or am I missing some undocumented/hidden command?If the passwords are set via I²C and cannot be changed anymore, doesn’t this risk making the device unusable in case of a configuration mistake?Is there any recommended method from ST to bring the chip back to a “clean” state without replacing it?Thanks in advance to anyone who can clarify these points.

Hi,I am using a ST25R3920 to emulate a type 2 tag. I have got the Read part working and I am able to send 16 bytes of data in response to 0x30 and confirm the data on a phone. But when the phone tries to write data using 0xA2, I am unable to send the 4 bit Ack (0xA) response that is acceptable for the phone which throws a write error. On probing the modulation using an oscilloscope, I noticed that the ST25 is sendingstart 0101 0000 parity instead ofstart 0101 parityHere is my send sequence:Clear FIFOSet ntx = 0, nbtx = 4 (to send only 4 bits)Load FIFO with 0xATransmit without CRCIs it possible to send 4 bit frames in card emulation mode with this chip to support type 2 communication?

Board name is stm32f103c8t6(blue pill) STM32 Bare-Metal Temperature Sensor with LED IndicationBuilt a bare-metal application on STM32 to read the inbuilt temperature sensor via ADC by directly configuring registers (no HAL). Hello,I am experiencing an issue with LwIP on the NUCLEO-F746ZH board. I am using STM32CubeIDE 1.14.0 with the STM32F7 firmware package v1.17.3 (I also tried v1.17.0 and the latest CubeIDE version, but the errors still persist).In the screenshots I shared, you can see my LWIP, ETH, FreeRTOS, and Cortex MPU settings. With these settings, I expect to be able to ping without adding any extra code, but unfortunately I encounter problems in the lwip_init function.This issue has been mentioned before in the forums: when I configure the MPU as suggested (example file attached), the first configASSERT hits a breakpoint. If I try without any MPU configuration, it stops at the second configASSERT (as shown in the screenshot).I tried many approaches but couldn’t solve it. Without RTOS, there is no problem and ping works fine, but with RTOS I face an issue related to semaphores. At this point, I am not sure what I am missing. I also attached my FreeRTOSConfig file.

I am developping STM32F469 with TouchGFX to display with LTDC in RGB888. I can display an image in the internal SRAM. However, when trying with SDRAM, the screen truns black, and the debugger can only read 0s. But when I tried with the framebuffer reader offered by ST, I can still read the image which seems to be already loaded into the SDRAM. Is there any suggestions to figure out the issue to give a final solution?

Hi everyone,My evaluaiton bord is STVAL-SPIN3201 and I am using Motor Control Workbench 6.4.1.First of all I work with Motor Control Workbench , after work CubeMx program and generate code and finally open CubeIde but I did not see Core folder. I dont know how can write my motor control program in main().c .When open "C:\Users\eem_o\.st_workbench\projects\STEVAL_SPIN3201 " folder "Inc" and "Src" folder in this area.When try to transfer at STM32CubeIde folder "Inc" and "Src" folders, given to many error.How can solve this issue?

Hi, On the STM32F303, the TIM1 timer is running in input capture, slave mode – reset, with the trigger source set to TI1FP1 (CH1 direct rising, CH2 indirect falling) to record the incoming stream. It operates with DMA in circular mode using two buffers (separately storing the duration of the high and low states). I want to further develop the project, and I have two use cases: 1) I want to forward this signal unchanged with minimal (or no) delay using TIM15. 2) In the DMA interrupts TIM_DMACaptureHalfCplt and TIM_DMACaptureCplt, I want to modify the original waveform and then output it through TIM15. In general, I want the processor to act like a “repeater.”Any hints would be greatly appreciated — maybe the solution is trivial, but advanced timers are still a bit of a mystery to me ;)   regards

 Hi all,  it's me again.   Close readers of this forum may remember I have a cluster of 5 VL53L4CX sensors that are attempting to range humans at an ideal distance of about 1.5-2m.   I think I've successfully managed to avoid interference between the 5 sensors. I expect the data to be bit noisy from ambient light and moving humans, but I'm also trying to optimize, and starting to play with the huge number of Tuning Parameters available.  I'm ok trading off latency for accuracy, especially at this long range.A specifc question though:some of my sensors are reporting a fair number of RangeStatus 4, 7, and sometimes 12.4: VL53LX_RANGESTATUS_OUTOFBOUNDS_FAILRaised when range result is out of bounds 7: VL53LX_RANGESTATUS_WRAP_TARGET_FAIL

Hello,  What is the best way to drive a 4x4 keypad, taking in account power consumption and MCU life expectancy? Option 1: Continuous scan of columns and read rows.Option 2: Like option 1, but including delays (0.01 s) to reduce MCU stress.Option 3: Leave all columns to high or low level and use an EXTI for every row. In the EXTI function, scan columns one only time to see the pressed key. Or doesn't matter and can use any option?. Looking technical data, the main thing to have in account for power consumption is the clock frequency. Now using nucleo-F446RE, and when the project is finished, I will migrate to other MCU Thanks 

Hello ST team, as mentioned in the title, I found that the power consumption when using the ULP library to drive TOF L1 is inconsistent with the manual. I'm using the official evaluation board vl53l1-satel. Below is my test code and power consumption data. In my code, you'll see both ULD and ULP libraries, but I'm actually only using the ULP library; the ULD library is commented out.

Hello everyone out there,I hope one of you can help me because I'm a bit confused about the additional information the sensor provides.I need to measure the fill level of a salt container. I noticed that the measured values deviate by about 6 cm compared to a smooth surface. This seems to be because the light is scattered and reflected multiple times within the salt.With the ST GUI (VL53L4CX Rev. 1.0.0.12289), when the additional information is enabled, I see a distance of 27 cm. The minimum is 25 cm and the maximum is 182 cm. However, the lower diagram shows a blue bar that ranges from 0 to approximately 107 cm. The signal strength is 18 Mcps.Can someone explain to me how this information is determined?Does the lower diagram represent the so-called histogram?Why are the limits in the diagram not the same as the minimum and maximum?I haven't really figured out how to use the histogram function yet. Perhaps that would help me correct the

The ST docs all refer me back to using HAL with CubeMX however I see many suggesting staying away from it.I could not find where to download and use libraries such as CMSIS for my STM32F407G Disco board Are the libraries I need already in my CubeIDE project somewhere? I rather not use only bare metal, so CMSIS would be the way to go right?
