STM32 MCUs Embedded software

I'm using FatFs without RTOS, and quite often the f_mount() call will fail. Right now it always fails, but in a previous version of my code it failed only 20%. My current mount code (using HAL) looks like if (f_mount(&fatfs, "", 1)) led_on_abort();and my initialization before in main.c looks like HAL_Init(); SystemClock_Config(); MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_DMA_Init(); MX_FMC_Init(); MX_SDMMC1_SD_Init(); MX_FATFS_Init(); MX_RTC_Init(); MX_NVIC_Init();I did enable interrupts and DMA for SDMMC1. That's why those init calls are before f_mount().Could there be a timing issue causing f_mount to fail? Note that changing the immediate parameter to 0 does not prevent the failure.When I'm debugging, everything works just fine. That's why I think there could be some timing issue -- not enough time between SDMMC/FatFs-Init and f_mount, or between f_mount and f_open (when not immediate).A

I am using stm32f7.When I am using fsdata_custom.c from example file then everything is working perfect. Means Web page is opening on web browser and when I am sending GET request from postman software then MCU is responding with 200 OK. But when I am generating the HTML file from PERL software then its not responding 200 OK but from web browser I am able to open the web page. How can I get 200 OK response?RegardsImran Aftab

Fellow developers,A strange phenomenon is keeping me busy for a number of weeks and I need some inspiration to understand and hopefully solve this problem:The vector table of a STM32F207 is partially rewritten due to an unknown message is received via the LwIP stack.The stackpointer, reset vector, NMI handler, memory manager and bus fault addresses are altered afterwhich the system does not startup anymore (due to the corrupted reset vector).In order to trap the circumstances when the problem occurs, I added a test in the vApplicationTickHook of FreeRTOS that checksif the contents of the reset vector at 0x08000004 has changed. The ticker interval is 1 millisecond, and when the vector is corrupted,the system returns to the Idle hook.There is no possibility to set a breakpoint on writing to the reset vector since there is only an SWD debug interface,but maybe there are other met

I have searched through alot of documentation regarding the ST32L476VG DISCO microcontroller and I am looking for an Application Note for the audio recorder that is built into the device.I have tried to compile a program from the repository demostration files in the firmwarer but I cannot get a fatal error to clear in the audiorecorder.c file for the #include"k_config.h" header file. I have included the header file to the IDE but the error wont clear.Can anyone help?

I am recieveing a fatal error on from the #include"k_config.h" header file. I have added the header file to the IDE but the error wont clear. I am reciving the fatal error in the main.c and the audiorecorder.c.I may have added the header file to the worng file location and the code isnt recognising it.I have added the #include"k_config.h" header file to the Core, Inc and the Drivers, Inc directories in the project explorer but the error wont clear. Hello Everyone,I am working on a project in which i have to use both roles of USB_FS. I want to interface mass storage device for which i need host with MSC and i also want to send some data to PC over VCP for which I need device with VCP.I searched a lot but not found any example of USB_FS switch roles dynamically. So can you tell me how to do this or share some examples if have.One more question can I do both of these tasks using USB host only? Can I connect to PC using USB host CDC class?Thanks

Hello Together,​Currently, I met an issue about the internal bootloader download application by SPI.​Firstly, let me describe the background.MCU, STM32F750V8 rev, ZTaget, I want to use the internal SPI bootloader to download the application from the SPI master Side to RAM 0x20004000 and then run it in RAM.I follow the document AN4286 which introduced the protocol for the SPI.I confirm every step I transfer firmware to slave side and got the ACK, I also run go command (0x20004004)successfully, also got the ACK from bootloader. HelloI am trying to configure my STM32F411CEU as a audio device class. After research i configured everything in STM32CubeMX and loaded program to my MCU. Plugged usb to the PC and it seems that PC sees it as some audio device but it says that it can not run it.CubeMX automatically added that function.MX_USB_DEVICE_Init();I changed minimum heap size and stack size. Also i tried to connect it to another PC but with the same result. There is little information about it online and I do not know how can I solve this problem. Thanks for help in advance

Hello,I am facing problem with task switching in FreeRTOS. I am using my custom board with STM32L476RC running at 80 MHz clock. Using STM32CubeIDE and configured project using CubeMX. I am using 3 tasks. Task 1 has some functions which uses osDelay and while loop (Used for GSM module operation). Task 2 used for TFT display update on every one second. Task 3 is used for data acquisition. My problem is when Task 1 is in odDelay or in while loop, other tasks are not functioning hence my TFT is not always updating every one second. Is there any way to configure FreeRTOS to switch tasks even one task is busy? Kindly help me to overcome this problem.Regards,Asish Banerjee

HiI've implemented the dual boot functionality on my STM32F429 for OTA Updates.To do so, I always write the new firmware into 0x08100000 and afterwards set oder reset the dual boot bit.If I cut the power to the MCU during the writing process to the not used part of the flash (that's all before I enable dual boot) the device is completely bricked and does not boot at all anymore.Any ideas on that behaviour ?

Hello!I encounter random HardFault when calling sprintf, sscanf from thread context in FreeRTOS. MCU is F446. When called before KernelStart, it works well. Meanwhile, it was working ok, before I`ve rearanged modules and added new structures. I didn`t even used new module yet. Behavior also depends on optimization options.After surfing over internets, I found this could happen if unaligned stack access is performed. After this point I didn`t understand actual techniques to make it happen. What directives should I put and where? I`m using IAR 8.3If code insights are needed, I`l put it, but entire project is quite large.Also, rtos config is included, maybe it has some issuesHope for you help!

I plan to add Ethernet support to my board. A 100 pin STM32H750 is currently almost full and I don't/cant change it. I need a larger package. What is a good CPU which have Ethernet and also room for other peripherals, like SPI/I2C/UART. Is there difference in documtation and HAL support between various H7 cpus. STM32H730ZBT6 doesn't cost much at Digikey.Does HAL ethernet work? By the way ST, I could use a couple STM32H730ZBT6 as a sample.

I have used FreeRTOS on other projects and I don't understand why I need to have CubeMX include CMSIS-RTOS in order for me to use FreeRTOS.Is there a way to stop CubeMX including it?

I have set the jumpers as per the demonstration video for the device but I cannot get the in-built apps to activate. I am wanting to utilise the DAC input for the microphone and an ADC output for the headphone jack. I can only assume the in-built applications will not operate until programming software has been uploaded to the device.Please can anyone advise if I have the right pin configurations set. Is pins PA1 and PA5 for the microphone and pins PB6 and PB7 for the headphone jack?
