STM32 MCUs Embedded software

Hello,quite new to STM32 platform (used during the university time, then moved to a competitor for work). I am now trying to come back. In particular I want to set up a small IoT project.I bought a 32F413HDISCOVERY board and I am using STM32CubeIDE. I would like to use AWS IoT so I have downloaded X-CUBE-AWS 1.4.1 and I went through the documentation UM2178 rev 1 (the latest rev 4 is only for X-CUBE-AWS 2.0 and I cannot find the other revisions).I have all set up from AWS point of view. And now I am stuck.I have tried importing the project contained in the zip file for my board and compile, but I get errors. In the manual is written that something show be flashed, but it is unclear which file.Can I get some indications on how to go on? Is it a problem of the IDE (that did not exist when the manual was written)?Thanks in advanceDavide

HiI'm tying for ping test on Nucleo H743ZI2 with ETH(RMII) and LwIP.(I'm not using other Middlewares such as FATFS/FREERTOS/LIBJPEG)When I try ping test on cmd : ping 192.168.***.***, it work perfectly fine with STM32F4 series. However, it doesn't work on STM32H743. It seems like something is wrong with STM32H7 series on ETH or LwIP.Could anybody help me out with this?Thank you in advance.

Hello,I've spent 3 days understanding why my USART could not communicate correctly.The answer : the HSI16 of STM32L552 is out of specs.Steps to reproduce :start a project running on HSI16Output HSI16 on MCOMeasure frequencyI've measure the frequency on 1 STM32L552RC => 14.79MHzI suspected a bad sample .. so I tried on a STM32L552RE => 14.74MHzThis is out of specs, and has significant impacts on timers, baud rates, etc ...I've done the same measurements, but with MSI @ 16MHz => 16.04MHz measured.I was surprised HSI16 problem is not mentioned in errata sheets.Kind regards,Vincent.

Hello,I have created a DFU project with CubeMX in order to update the STM32L433CCU6 on my custom board through USB. The board is recognized by CubeProgrammer:The USBD_DFU_APP_DEFAULT_ADD is 0x8008000. Then, I have created a project to simply turn on a LED. I have changed the Flash_Based value (0x8008000) and the icf file. The problem occurs when I upload the file to the uC using Cube Programmer. The update looks ok, but there is an error during the verification process:

When we use UART as DATA 8bits with parity, STM32F4xx_HAL_driver for UART accesses one byte beyond the specified buffer. Could you please confirm attached patch?In stm32f4xx_hal_uart.c , there are other similar problems.

I have an STM32F407 configured as a USB CDC-class host. The USB device is a WiFi module that works correctly as a USB CDC-class device. The code on the MCU was generated with CubeMX, complete with the Tx and Rx callback functions. sending commands to the WiFi module via the USB link works fine. However, receiving data from the WiFi module has a bunch of garbage data interleaved with the good data and in some instances it appears that the data from a previous transmission is received in the stream of the next transmission. For instance, an ACK from a previous command send to the module appears in the module's response for the next command. I checked that the Rx/Tx callback functions are OK and the Rx buffer is flushed properly. Appreciate if anyone who went through similar issues with USB CDC-class host implementations on a STM32Fxxx MCU could point me in the right direction to identify the root cause and fix.

I have a Zephyr application that uses the USB port on the STM32F373 to drive two serial ports. One serial port is used for console output and the other is used for sending commands to the application. I am trying to flash the chip in DFU mode from Linux using the dfu-util tool. I am able to flash the chip and enter my application, but neither of the serial devices appear. It appears that the state of the USB port doesn't get switched to runtime after using it for DFU flashing.I've seen in the reference manuals that ST recommends disabling USB interrupts, resetting the USB core, and then restarting USB. Hello,I would like to try the DFU on my Nucleo F413ZH. I have downloaded Cube F4 1.25.0, and opened the application "DFU_Standalone" in the "USB_Device" folder. I have also installed "DfuSe Demonstrator" and the drivers. In the peripheral manager, I can see the "STM32 Bootloader": Unfortunately, the "DfuSe Demonstrator 3.0.6" doesn't detect the device: 

I installed STM32CubeIDE v1.5 and I created a new project based on STM32L0 microprocessor. After downloaded the L0 package, the installer fails. I noticed that in the STM32Cube_FW_L0_V1.11.3.zip the folder Utilities/PC_Software is missing (and therefore also the setup file...)

Hi,I want to use segger system viewer with STM32F4 discovery board. I installed required J-link files and added required segger system viewer files. I am using STMCube IDE with HAL. Here is the free rtos version configuration I have set.API:FreeRTOS API CMSIS v1Versions:FreeRTOS version 10.0.1CMSIS-RTOS version 1.02But when I add the patch file to freertos folder it is showing unmatched patch segment.What does that mean? This is my path of patch file.Middlewares\Third_Party\SEGGER\PatchHow to understand that patch file and convert it as compatible with STMCUE ide. Here I am attaching my code and error screen shot. The patch file is for Freertos version 9 but I want it for Freertos version 10 (latest)Please help me out.I have seen this link in the community. Hi,I'm trying to implement a webpage to change network parameters (IP, Gateway, netmask) on nucleo-F429ZIIf i change parameters before httpd_init() is called, all works ok: the board responds to the ping, and the httpd returns the webpages. But if I call httpd_init(), and after I change network parameters, the network interface responds to ping on the new address until I try to request a webpage. Hi all,I'm trying to write my own bare-metal USB HID driver for a personal project, on an STM32F042 microcontroller. The hardware is a custom PCB, with a USB Type-C in a USB 2.0 setup.The project is a keyboard, but for now I've defined the device as a mouse HID device in the Interface descriptor. I've been able to successfully transmit all requested descriptors, set the given address, etc. Right at the end of HID enumeration the host sends a Get Descriptor request for the Report descriptor, and an HID-specific request of SET_IDLE. I'm getting both of these, and am expecting the host to start sending Get Report requests to EP0, at which point I would send the report from EP1 - Interrupt IN (or NAK if there is no change in data). But instead of a Get Report, the host immediately resets the device, enumerates again then resets, and so on.I'm doing the testing on a Debian machine. we want to use USB mass storage devices like PEN drives in one of our project based on STM32F407VET6, in which we use only USB_OTG_FS_DP and USB_OTG_FS_DM pins for communication and generated VBUS by means of other IC's. we observing that some mass storage devices of particular make were detecting (Insert/Remove) very well, but some are only detected when attached to USB port before project device (MCU PCB) get powered On and then after removing its removal not get sensed. in software debugging point of view we generate the sample code from CUBEMX with HAL library. Please reply is anyone facing same issue. another point is, in this project we use Internal crystal for main frequency (168MHz) generation. does this may be the cause (Not Using External OSC) of the issue?

Hi, We are developing a custom board based on STM32H743IIT6 microcontroller. The application is USB mass storage acting as HostWe are using USB OTG_FS connection for the microcontroller. We are connecting the VDD33USB to 3.3V.  And here is the USB connector side circuit.We are using STMCube IDE and configured the USB as below The configuration File is attached as USB_File_Create. The problem we are getting 3.3V on VDD33USB but we are not getting that voltage on USB connector J12. As per the data sheet internal USB regulator powers the USB.Is any thing wrong in the circuit and any thing is required to get voltage on connector side. More over, we tried to probe using CRO but unable to see any signals on DP+ and DP- lines. As per the datasheet pull up resistor is embedded. Does DP+ and DP- lines provide outputs without getting voltage on VCC pin on USB connectorAnd is there any purpos

I am trying to access and read audio from the on-board microphone of my board and run it through a speech recognition model (Tensorflow lite speech commands). I am unable to find the audio library for my board or an example of accessing and using audio from the board. I was wondering if the STM32CubeIDE environment has such an example for this board? Please let me know and your help would be highly appreciated.
