Greetings,I'm making a USB PD Sink device with a STM32G483 & TCPP01-M12, that will be able to take up to 15V@3A.I started implementing USB PD functionality using STM32CubeIDE 1.19.0 & FreeRTOS. Step by step.The current config is mostly stock, with only a custom BSP_USBPD_PWR_VBUSGetVoltage(uint32_t instance, uint32_t *pVoltage) implementation that reads VBUS voltage & writes it in mV to pVoltage.At init(), firstly MX_USBPD_Init() is called, after that, I'm applying power to TCPP01-M12 & disabling the Dead Battery resistors. Current FreeRTOS config: CMSIS_V2, 16000 bytes heap with heap_4 scheme, NEWLIB_REENTRANT enabledCurrent USBPD config: Full Stack, TIM2 timer, NVIC, DMA set, 2 fixed PDOs, 5V@3A &

Hi Guys, I am completely new in the world of ST Microcontroller. I have worked with PIC Microcontrollers using MikroC Compiler. After studying various tutorials on this topic, I am getting it slowly. While going through  code of generation of PWM, I came across a function " HAL_TIM_PWM_Start(&htim2, TIM_CHANNEL_1);" which, I assume, starts PWM. My question, Is it a library function? If so, how can it be accessed. Incidentally it is stated that I have installed STM32 CubeMX and STM32 Cube IDE.

Hi, I've got a STM32U5G9ZJ-DK2 Discovery kit.I'm trying to setup the ADC to work with GPDMA doing a continuous acquistion of two channels into a large buffer of samples. I got it working perfectly fine with ADC4, but I just don't get it work with ADC1.From what I can tell it looks like the DMA Request from ADC1 is not forwarded to the GPDMA.ADC1 itself works, too. Hello!I am trying to get an MQTT project to work, but having some issues. At some points randomly the program stops and does not respond to the remote server anymore. In hopes of figuring it out I tried to enable stack checking from ThreadX settings from CubeMX, and generated the code. BUT, whenever the stack checking was disabled, DNS was able to retrieve the IP address always. Now, it fails every time.The function "nx_dns_host_by_name_get" is called from the begging of SNTP thread. After calling the mentioned function, the return status is NX_DNS_QUERY_FAILED (0xA3). I have the DNS set up as to retry 3 times with a timeout of 10 seconds.Checking from WireShark I can see that the device did send out the query to get the IP address, and the router answered, but for some reason the packet was not received/saved on the device side. After that I get 3 different ARP packets from the router, which is trying to identify my device, but no responses. Finally, 2 mor

I am trying to start 6 virtual com ports over usb. I could start 4 using a USB composite pack made by a developer. From what I have read and tried, there are not enough endpoints for 6 com ports and only maximum for 4 (9 bidrectional EPs, 1 reserved for EP0; 2 IN EPs and 1 OUT EP per com port). Is it possible to start 6 com ports at all by reusing or bypassing an IN EP?

I am looking for any example project that uses Azure RTOS FileX and LevelX using onchip flash.I understand the programming flash can be segmented and used for general purpose file storage but I cannot find any example across any series packages which uses the on chip flash. Is this even possible?I am mostly looking on how to set the levelx configuration parameters in STM32CubeMX. I know how to integerate the low level flash drivers from the HAL.

I've set up my STM32U5A9J-DK to use ThreadX and connect to my PC via USBX and Audio Class.I'm correctly see the Audio Device on my PC and I can easily stream audio to it. When I use HAL_DCMI_Start_DMA(&hdcmi, DCMI_MODE_CONTINUOUS, (uint32_t)camBuf0, (CAM_W * CAM_H) / 2);, HAL_DCMI_FrameEventCallback is called, but when I use HAL_DCMI_Start_DMA(&hdcmi, DCMI_MODE_SNAPSHOT, (uint32_t)camBuf0, (CAM_W * CAM_H) / 2);, HAL_DCMI_FrameEventCallback is never called. I have an application where I have enabled TX_ENABLE_STACK_CHECKING.  The application gets stuck in a do loop in the tx_thread_stack_analyze.c between lines 114 and 135.  (H7.3.1.0)  It is clear in the debugger that the loop will never complete.  The loop is checking for the stack fill pattern 0xefefefef using a binary search after checking the pointer are not NULL.     Here is the code:  /* We need to binary search the remaining stack for missing 0xEFEFEFEF 32-bit data pattern. Hi,I am running the latest version of the VENC_SERVER application and am interested in the mode that uses no external memory. There is a define for 720p 30fps using internal memory only, but trying to compile it in debug mode results in a compile error with .bss data not fitting in memory.Could anyone advise on how to change the example or linker script to get the internal memory only version working?Thanks 

I have been modifying the VENC_SDCard_ThreadX example to read in raw data through pipe0 with success. However, my bottleneck appears to be the SD card write speed; I understand that this example was designed to write compressed h.264 files - and it looks like it only writes at around 320 kB/s.Since I am capturing much more data, I would like to use exFAT instead of FAT32, and write to a UHS I card at max speed (SDR104). I defined FX_ENABLE_EXFAT within fx_user.h, but it I am still unable to write to an exFAT formatted card. fx_media_open() passes just fine, but upon inspection it appears that the available clusters always is 0. Am I missing any steps? Any insight would be appreciated.

Hi, I'm new to STM32 and FMC. I'm connecting STM32H755 to PCL6045, a motor controller which has data/address pins that can be access through FMC. This is what I've done so far:1) Configure the FMC inside CubeMX with clock set to 20MHz (max 20MHz reference clock according to PCL6045BL datasheet)I don't know why there's no unmuxed option in the CubeMX since I need to use the FMC_D instead of FMC_DA pins and the address pins start from FMC_A16 until FMC_A20. Hi,I already have a codebase that uses the STM32L4R5ZI microcontroller. The codebase does not include an .ioc file, which we normally use to configure the pins and other related parameters. But the codebase seems to be compiling fine. I am working with a development board for our customer project (Nucleo-L4R5ZI-P).We are trying to establish SPI communication with an external chip via SPI1. The codebase currently configures the SPI1 interface, but the SPI_CLK function is assigned to PA1. I need to change this to PA5. Since I don’t have an .ioc file, how can I make this modification?

I am working with an STM32U575, HAL version 1.5 and found the issue described below(Have checked the HAL code for the H5 and H7 and these contain the same issue)See picture below, when aborting an PSSI transfer, before checking the state on lines 1258 and 1277, the state of the PSSI is already set to HAL_PSSI_STATE_ABORT. As a result the DMA transfer is not correctly aborted since none of the two conditional paths are taken. 

Hi,I want my slave device to be able to sniff packets destined for other slaves on the same bus. At the moment, communication management is based on HAL with interrupts, and I can see when the master sends requests to me because I enter the address match interrupt. I would like to take a step back and see where a wrong address is discarded, before answering with a NACK.I want my slave to be able to understand when the packets are intended for another slave with a specific address and from there monitor the communication to sniff the information.Is that possible?I can't find where an address that doesn't match mine is discarded. Thank you

HiWe are using STM32U073CC MCU in a project. Our development tools are:STM32CubeIDEVersion: 2.0.0Build: 26820_20251114_1348 (UTC) STM32CubeMXVersion 6.16.0 WE are using the HAL_RTCEx_SetWakeUpTimer_IT to wake up the mcu from stop mode. The code code works fine, bur some the RTC INT does not fire. Is there any official sample code for this application? Ou maybe some sort of bug with the new IDE? I also have noticed that HAL_RTCEx_SetWakeUpTimer_IT has a aditional parameter compared with am older ide. Coud you provide me some extre information on the correct usage of the WakeUpAutoClr parameter? BRGilberto

Hello,from recently I have a problem using STM32F407VGT6, moreover, I am unable to get consecutive conversions in the DMA buffer. For example I want to use Dual Regular Simultaneous ADC mode to obtain results from 4 channels (2 in ADC1 and 2 in ADC2). stm32-hotspot BOOTLOADER_USB_MSC_STM32G0 can be used as a good starting point for a USB MSC bootloader. The provided examples work, but if the application size increases, the bootloader will be erased, finally causing a hard fault.It took a me while to find the reason: After loading the application the bootloader erases the unused flash memory.
