I want to evaluate a particular GaN FET found on an EPC9167 inverter board.  It has a connector on it that allows it to interface to an ST NUCLEO G432RB board.  The firmware "out of the box" is set up to run a particular motor.  I need to adjust the sensoless parameters to run a different motor.  I don't see any example projects in the Motor Control Workbench 6.4.0 that pair the NUCLEO G432RB board with the EPC9167 inverter board.  Anyone ever done this before?

Hello,I am trying to control the speed of a PMSM with hall sensors. We are getting many random speed feedback errors that causes the drive to stop.When I looked at the code (hall_speed_pos_fdbk.c), I was surprised to find that the parameter bMaximumSpeedErrorsNumber is pretty much useless. Whenever the fault will occur, the count is set to the maximum value and the drive trips. This makes the code extremely fragile in noisy environments. Hello ST Community,I'm currently working with the STEVAL-CTM012V1 evaluation board and have encountered an issue using it with the latest Motor Control SDK (MCSDK) v6.3.0.This board does not appear in the supported hardware list of MCSDK v6.3.0, so I downloaded the firmware package for it from the official ST product page. The package is based on MCSDK v5.4.4, and the PDF with that instructs me to load the configuration file named “STEVAL-M01xV11shunt_FOC.stmcx” using the Motor Control Workbench. The .stmcx file is not detected or listed when I try to import it in MC Workbench v6.3.0 and the provided inverter JSON file (STEVAL-CTM01xV1.json) shows as invalid when I try to import it via the Board Manager, Screenshot attached. As a result, I’m unable to open or upgrade the project for use in the latest SDK.Could you please advis

I have a problem with setting up and flashing the P-NUCLEO-IHM002 using the Motor Profiler and STM Motor Workbench. Kindly help me in setting this up, preferrably run a example folder either six step or foc. Once done, help me integrate with Matlab simulink MBD workflow. I am trying to run a custom board using MCSDK micro STM32G4 series,  using cube monitor took the waveforms i have queries on the waveforms pls help me if they are correct or abnormala. Phase currents are not correct, i am not sure why are not overlapping, i mean 120 phase shifted.b. 

I made customized board based on bg431besc1 board all pin defined are  same as original board except I did not placed back emf register . it working well just like original board in Arduino in both open loop as well as closed loop with very smooth speed. But when I ran it in stm32ide it did not run but it  debugging and show  zero fault zero speed . the code i m using is same code earlier i used for original board  both Arduino and stm32ide codes and motor is also same. so tell me what is problem also motor pilot it connect when i upload ide closed loop code when connect by usb but when i on power 24v it show try to configure with show correct port nd connected board. this is my code   

Hello,I am trying to get my STM32G4B1C3 ESC working for a brushless rc hobbyist motor with unknown motor parameters. I flashed a generic set of parameters to the device and enabled the motor profiler before flashing so that I could estimate them online.  When I connect to the motor pilot app Everything is detected fine with no faults, but then I click begin profiler and it seems to just stall with a high pitch noise and never gets past 7% complete. I have tried swapping the 3 phases in all combinations with no change in behavior: Motor details:Aerosky MC2212-980KV 7 pole pairs with standard surface magnets (outboard)

Hello, I use STM32CubeIDE to compile the motor control code. The code runs without problem, when in normal run modes.  To use SWV trace for debug, I do the following:1) complie for debug2) start debug by "Resume"3) stop debug by "Suspend"4) reset the uC by the black button 5) open Motor Pilot and build the connection6) start the motor in speed or torque control mode. And the motor runs as expected. The three phase currents are monitored with current probe. The waves are symetrical and ok.7) keep the Motor Pilot running and the motor running and change to CubeIDE 8) click th red button "Start Trace" in SWV without restart debug by "Resume". Noise is obtained in the measured phase current, even when nothing is tracked, because still not resumed. And the noise disapears clicking on "Start Trace", the red button.Can you understand the noise issue in this case? How to

Hi I am currently trying to convert a  project for the STM32 Motor Workbench by creating a custom inverter board. However when trying to create the workbench project by connecting the motor to my custom board I either get a current sensing error or the board doesnt even appear because it is not correctly configured. The project was first realised in PLECS and because of the reduced number of ADC for the phases U and V the ADC4 Channel 1 and 2 are used but for the third phase the second channel of ADC2 is used. I dont know if this could be an issue. I added the error file, an image of the error and the custom board file to this post. The custom board file still has some values that are the correct values for later as I am just trying to get the custom board to work with the workbench software, but I correctly configured the pins. I would be really happy if someone could help me.Kind RegardsElias

Dear Support team,I am currently working on a sensorless motor control application using the Observer + PLL algorithm to run a 24V PMSM motor (rated at 3600 RPM, no load) on a custom driver board based on the STM32F030R8. My PWM frequency is 8000kHz and I am using a single shunt resistor for current sensing.The motor appears to operate correctly during the ramp-up phase. However, it stops immediately after transitioning to closed-loop FOC, triggering a startup failure error.I am using STM32 Motor Control Workbench version 5.4.8 for configuration. I have attached the wb file and .stmcx file in .txt format containing the full GUI-based configurations for your reference.I would appreciate your assistance in resolving this issue.

I created a project based on PLL+Profile,  when compile the project, I get a ERROR, about include path. I search the file and add the path(../../Drivers/CMSIS/DSP/Include) into project manaully, compile success. Is this a bug?

Hello everyone,I'm currently working on driving a 24V, 1.5A BLDC motor using a Nucleo-F070RB board along with the X-NUCLEO-IHM16M1 motor driver shield. For testing purposes, I'm running the motor in open-loop mode.I've configured Timer 1 to generate PWM with complementary signals. However, when I check the outputs with an oscilloscope, I don’t see any PWM signal. Additionally, the status LEDs (D8, D9, D10) on the driver board are not lighting up.I've attached the connection diagram below for reference.Has anyone faced a similar issue or have suggestions on what might be going wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated!Thanks in advance!  

 I use MCSDK6.3.2 to generate code, when use TIM1 to generate pwm wave, everything is ok. But, when I use TIM8 to generate pwm wave, the code is still TIM1, which is fixed in the code, not according to the pwmc_handle. What is wrong?  Is this a bug?
