STM32 MCUs Motor control

Hello,I am working on a custom FOC Inverter Board.  I am trying to assign the pins for current sensing, but I keep getting warnings.  I am using an STM32G431CBT6 MCU, and I completed all the other pin assignments without issue.  Here is the Current Sensing information:"Three Shunt AmplifiedCurrents using External Op-Amps"CURRENT_AMPL_U -> Assigned to PB14 ADC1_IN5CURRENT_AMPL_V -> Assigned to PB12 ADC1_IN11CURRENT_AMPL_W -> Assigned to PB11 ADC12_IN14It looks OK in the board designer application with no warnings, but when I try to generate the project in Motor Control Workbench, it gives me the following errors:

Hi, I'm developing a board to control motors using FOC. For this, I will use the MC workbench tool to generate the code. However, when I describe the hardware in the shunt resistors section, there is no "in-line" option, only the low-side option, but my board only has them in-line and I can no longer modify it. What can I do in the code to be able to use the shunt resistors in this way?

Hello,I use the STM32 Motor Control Software Development Kit (MCSDK version 6.4.1). I created a new project with the STM32G474E-EVAL microcontroller board, the two IHM07M1 motor-drivers (power boards), the two modified X-NUCLEO-IHM09M1 adapter (connector) boards, and two gimbal 12V 3-Phase BLDC motors with encoder AS5048A. The project code was generated. By the way, I have not bought all the hardware yet. Our project is specific. For all microcontroller boards and their software, which I know, it is true that setting zero speed holds a motor's rotor in a fixed position. We need to accelerate two motors' rotors for 180 degrees and let them rotate by inertia for next 180 degrees. In this way, a rotor makes one full 360-degree circle path. It seems that the MCSDK Motor Pilot makes a rotor in a fixed position if the motor speed is set zero. Hence, we need to depower the motors while the rotors make the 180-degree path by their inertia. Hello,Here are a few things I need to clarify regarding the EVSPIN32G4 current measurement and the related MCSDK software:Referring to section 5.6.1, 5.6.2 and 5.6.3 of the UM2850, I believe that the topology using three standalone OpAmps presented in section 5.6.2 is not currently supported by MCSDK, is this correct?So, considering the 2 topologies presented in 5.6.1 and 5.6.3, is there a major disadvantage to go for the internal PGA solution compared to the first configuration which requires external feedback networks on the inverting side of the OpAmp?At the end of section 5.6.3, it is recommended to connect the inverting input of the PGAs to shunt resistors to perform differential current measurement in case of high current application, but I don't have the possibility to do it in MCSDK since only the "single ended" sensing type is available, what do you propose in this case?Thanks in advance and best regards.

Hello everyone, I am currently working on a fully isolated motor driver using an STM32G474RE. I need to interface the AMC1301differential output to the MCU in a way that ensures accurate measurements. What is the best approach to achieve this? Also in mc workbench app, MCU opamp -> ADC hardware variant for Current sense -> InternalOpamps -> Differential -> InternalPGA. Or I will make the diff to single like in other picture wich looks easier. Also looks same with design below. 

Hello,We are currently performing tests on stepper motor driver boards.We are using a NUCLEO-F401RE board, which works correctly with the X-NUCLEO-IHM14A1: the motor rotates normally using the interface provided by STSPIN Studio 2.0.However, while keeping the same NUCLEO-F401RE board and replacing the X-NUCLEO-IHM14A1 with an evaluation board based on the STSPIN948, we are unable to make the motor rotate. The motor produces a whistling and mechanical noise, but no rotation occurs.The following configurations have been applied       - J5 = 1       - J6 = 1       - J7 = 0In addition:       - Modifications to REFA and REFB have no effect on the motor behavior.       - Changing parameters in STSPIN Studio 2.0 does not seem to affect the board.       

Hi All, For the project I am working on we are looking to standardize on the STM32H7A3 processor. I am current looking to setup a project in the ST Motor Control Workbench (v6.4.1) targeting the STM32H7A3.When selecting a board, there are only 2 H7 boards listed. Both boards contain processors that have a mix of M7 & M4 cores. The Workbench creates code for the M4 processor, whereas the STM32H7A3 has an M7 core.I have tried creating a custom board, but again the STM32H7A3 is not listed in the supported list of processors.Is there anyway to set up the ST Motor Control Workbench to generate code for the STM32H7A3?Or do I need to port code targeted at a different processor?If so, can someone suggest a supported processor that would be a good starting point for generating code that could be easily ported to the STM32H7A3?Does ST have documentation on how to generate code for a processor that is not directly supported by th

The graphical representation shows an internal op-amp amplifying the signal entering the comparator's positive input.However, the STSPIN32G4 positive input comparator cannot be an op-amp output unfortunately and is limited to op-amp positive inputs - see Ref. Manual RM0440 ver 9 (Figure 168).This is misleading, because only non-amplified signals gets to the positive input of the comparator.   

Please provide a Linux version of MCSDK. ST already has CubeMX and CubeIDE for Linux and they also run on Java, so I guess it should not be a problem.Or even a better alternative, just provide source code for MCSDK examples in a git repository. It is very frustrating to obtain source code through CubeMX and always having to log in.

Hello, I am using a B-G431-ESC1 board to power some BLDC motors. I have alrady used it succesfully to spin some 2 pole pairs BLDC using Hall sensors for speed control. I even managed to implement some code to stop the motor at every half rotation of the shaft. It worked flawlessly with this type of motor. Now, I tried connecting a different type of BLDC, still 2 pole pairs but thats all I know since I don't have the datasheet. The motor profiling part went as expected and it managed to calculate all the relevant properties of the motor. I saved it and implemented the Hall sensors as aux speed control for Hall profiling. The difference from the other type of motor is that this one has a 6-wire Hall connection. Using an oscilloscope, I found that the extra cable was likely for temperature, so I left it unconnected. However, I keep getting Pin not connected on the pin wher the same cable is plugged (the blue cable). Whether I put the blue cable on H1, H2 or H3, the board doesnt recogni

Y.3 normally.If you transplant the IIC configuration of the pre drive and enable PWM output, the VDS will report an error.After carefully reading the generated code, it is found that before PWM complementary output, the lower tube is opened for charging, and the output PWM pre drive or VDS protection is written. Is there a routine for STSPIN32G4 IIC to configure PWM output?

Hello, I’m trying to use an X-NUCLEO-IHM03A1 board with a STM32F401RE Nucleo 64 board and a small NEMA 17 motor. My goal is just to learn how to drive steppers with the POWERSTEP01 for various projects and I just can’t make it work. I first tried to port the Ponoor library for arduino to STM32 by adapting and rewriting most of it but it didn’t work. I also tried to look at the ST Library from the X-CUBE-SPN3 software but it doesn’t seem to use the HAL so I haven’t been able to understand much of it. SPI is configured correctly, I’ve watched all the ST videos and read the entire datasheet but somehow I can’t make it work.I checked the entire ST Community forum, I also tried to find code on github or google but I can’t find a single usable piece of code written for STM32. Could anyone who has worked with this component post his C / C++ code.
