STM32 MCUs Software development tools

is there a way to lock the views? I can understand having a build view and a debug view, maybe a run view, but every time I move windows where I want them, as soon as I build, debug, etc the console log moves or some other window jumps to the top. Is there a way to lock them in place? permanently? This has plagued me since the beginning years ago so it must be something I'm not doing correctly.

Hello everyone.Is there a way to generate the report files (pdf and txt) from command line in CubeMX?I run STM32CubeMX in command-line mode getting commands from a script,but I didn't find any commands about report generation in the command line summary table.Greetings

Running STM32CubeProgrammer v2.11.0, Mac version. It shows update is available, but update screen show current version is v2.11.0 and "No update available". The Updater is v.1.3.3 as shown on screen.After manually update by downloading from ST site, it is updated to latest version. But when clicking Connect button or any other button, it just locks up and no response at all.I have removed previous version and reinstall many times and still get the same result.Downgrade to 2.11.0 and it works again.

I'm really loving the high level of integration offered in the STM32CubeIDE application.Does STM32CubeIDE offer a serial terminal? This functionality was available in the Atollic TrueSTUDIO product.Maybe it's already in there (somewhere?) and I just can't find it...?I'm using this software to teach a class on the STM32 devices. Having one less external program to install and verify in the lab (i.e., Tera Term) and associated drivers (i.e., CH340G) would makes things a LOT simpler.Thanks for any insight you can share on this topic.Dale Wheat

Normally I work on vmc-single-slave vendron_intergration but the other day I opened a different project and that project was like a different branch of my project but I opened it from a different folder then today I opened my own project again and I couldn't find my codes. I don't know what's in the image I uploaded (vmc-single-slave ) I think this belongs to another project. I think this is my main project (vmc-single-slave vendron_intergration). Any tips to get back there (vmc-single-slave vendron_intergration).

These stack gets called repetitively and does not let me debug.If I reduce the priority of the ticks then HAL_Delay does not work.I am in a fix here dont know what to do ?I have changed the tick priority also as shown in the figure.

Using an STM32L562Q part: configured the clock tree to use LSI, MSI, and HSI48 internal clocks. Odd that RCC_OscInitStruct.OscillatorType = 0x3CCode generator is setting RCC_OSCILLATORTYPE_LSE as one of clocks to init but I don't have an external LSE crystal. Hello everyone. For some days I have been trying to solve a problem that occurs in CubeMX when generating the code for STM32CubeIDE. I state the following:1) The error occurs both when starting from a new project (from STM32CubeMX or STM32CubeIDE) and when importing an already made one.2) The error occurs only with the generation of the code for STM32CubeIDE, while with all the other IDEs the procedure is successful.3) The error occurs with the two attached pop-ups4) The Driver folder is generated incompletely and no Middleware and STM32CubeIDE projects are generated.Finally, just to complicate things:5) The error occurs on systems based on OpenSUSE Leap 15.3.6) The error does not occur on an Ubuntu 20.4.4 LTS machine.Some idea? I have a question about the value of `TICK_INT_PRIORITY` in a project for the STM32G070CBT6. I am not using FreeRTOS (which I think makes a difference here), and all projects have been created with the (default) `Targeted Language`: `C`, `Targeted Binary Type`: `Executable` and `Targeted Project Type`: `STM32Cube` options selected.I was trying to change the MCU used for a project from using an STM32G030C8T6, and couldn't find a way to do that without starting with a new project and bringing the older code into it. Hi all, i have tried same project in two different IDEs( Keil and STM32CUBEIDE). i am confuse that why they both are telling different usgae for RAM and ROM.Keil map file says: Total RO Size (Code + RO Data)        21156 ( 20.66kB) Total RW Size (RW Data + ZI Data)       2360 (  2.30kB)  Total ROM Size (Code + RO Data + RW Data)   21284 ( 20.79kB)STM32 Cube IDE says:why the difference is there between these IDEs. application code is same and HAL code is generated by STMCUBEMX for both IDEs.Post edited to adhere community guidelines.

I have a structure, that came from the hardware manufacturer for an encoder. The data is in most cases 16-bit words. Some times it is a 16-bit word with a bit field, sometimes it is a 32-bit variable and sometimes it is a 48-bit variable or a 64-bit variable. So I built the structure, it should be 44 16-bit words or 88 bytes. When I checked the size it was 100 bytes. That indicated it was inserting bytes in the structure. Fortunately there is such a thing as __packed attribute. I inserted the __packed attribute and I got warnings that the packed attribute was being ignored. Then I realized I had to say packed everywhere. So I put it everywhere I could think of, and I got no more warnings!Unfortunately that did nothing. If I open cubemx using the terminal., I can find log messsge like: ThirdPartyUpdaterWithRetryManager:70 - Updater plugin not ready yet. [12/15]. Finally, cubemx reports IntegrityCheckThread:98 - exiting critical section [integrity check]. And It was stuck on the cover of cubemx.PS: I using Apple M1 Pro on macos 13.0.1 (22A400)

Looks like serious regression from 1.10.1. Steps to reproduce: Select STM32F401 or F411 MCU, Enable FreeRTOS. The generated main() function in main.c file does not contain the section creating the FreeRTOS objects (task, queues, etc.). Instead, the comment from the beginning of main.c is repeated where this section should be. CubeIDE 1.10.1 (also 1.9) with 1.27.0 F4 package generates the correct project.

For everyday work I use ST-LINKs. Recently a customer gave me a JLINK for a board with a new QSPI flash chip, for this chip I could not find a ready external loader.Nevertheless the J-Flash software can program this chip, knowing only the the MCU and QSPI pins.It does this probably by decoding the built-in parameters table of the flash.Can CubeProgrammer do the same?Or is there already a smart QSPI flash programmer that works with ST-LINK?

My system has a user-removeable SD Card. I'm working with the "NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q" development board and I compile using STM32CubeIDE 1.11.0. My project uses FreeRTOS and I have clicked Window -> Show View -> FreeRTOS -> FreeRTOS Task List. When I look at the Stack Usage for Tmr_Svc it appears that it reports 4 times as much than what has been truly allocated, resulting in the usage percent being one quarter of what it should be. So, if I truly allocate 256 bytes (configTIMER_TASK_STACK_DEPTH 256) of stack for Tmr_Svc and end up using 128 bytes of it, then this column will show 128/(4 x 256 + 4) = 12.5% when the true usage is actually 50%. What am I doing wrong?

Hi,I get an error like this when I first compile any project, regardless of controller and code. This error occurs after the project is successfully compiled. If there is an error in the code, this error does not occur because the compilation is not finished. If I compile again after this error occurs, the error does not appear again. This error has been present for over 2 years but it does no harm. I have no idea why. This error occurs even if I do a clean install. I am using Windows 10 with Turkish language. I got the same error on another computer(w10 turkish).What do you think could be the reason?

I'm working with the "NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q" development board and I compile using STM32CubeIDE 1.11.0. My project uses FreeRTOS and I have clicked Window -> Show View -> FreeRTOS -> FreeRTOS Task List. However, when I halt execution and take a look at the FreeRTOS Task List, then I can only see addresses (in RAM) under "Event Object", I don't see any userfriendly text names for the objects. Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong?

Hi all,I'm currently working on a GPS tracker module with STM32F446RE. We have the whole GPS feature done but now we are trying to implement communication.When it comes to sending messages (SMS) or doing phone calls everything is fine. But now we want to do some secure connection to AWS server. They require TLS 1.2 so we can't use our module to communicate with AWS.So far so good, we just need to use lwip + mbedtls with our board! But CubeMX does not allow us to do so because we don't have Ethernet, that firstly seems logical, but we want to do PPP over serial, so we don't need (and don't have anyway) Ethernet enabled.So that is our first problem; the second problem we are facing is that we can't find any good resources or example for the use of lwip (ppp os) + mbed tls + stm32. Does any one have an example of lwip working with pppos and also using Mbed TLS ? If one would only have an example working with lwip and pppos that would be wonderful and would help us advance in the project.R
