STM32 MCUs Wireless

I am currently working on BLE applications for a custom STM32WB05KZ board using the SDK stm32cubewb0-v1-3-0. In general, peripherals such as GPIO and UART are functioning correctly when running non-BLE examples provided in the SDK.However, when I run BLE applications (such as Beacon, Server, or Client), I am unable to receive any logs over UART (configured on PB0 and PA1). I have verified that an LED, which is initialized prior to the BLE initialization in app_entry.c, operates correctly, indicating that the application is executing at least up to that point.The main issues I am facing are:No log output is observed on the UART interface during BLE operation.The device does not appear to advertise(No address is visible: random or public), as it is not detected by the ST BLE Toolbox application.I would appreciate any guidance or suggestions to help identify and resolve this issue.

I have a custom STM32 WB05KZ and I want to get logs using UART for BLE_Beacon, and check if its advertising. But I am unable to get the logs. Is UART not supported? Is it because of low power mode? How do I get the logs?

I am trying to use the ble_p2pServer example on my stm32wb05kz, but it is not advertising and not detectable on the ST toolbox application. Hi ST Team,I just downloaded X-Cube-Matter package v1.5.0 and noticed that support for STM32WB55 uC was entirely removed, without even being mentioned in the release notes. Why is that? Is the uC being discontinued?Where can I find updated Matter examples for STM32WB55?Thanks

I am working in a project with a STM32WB microcontroller, and I want to print the STM32_WPAN firmware version, but I am unable to programmatically get that info.Any idea about how to know the used version?

I have a stable BLE application on STM32WB55RG. The application uses a Custom Template, has one service one characteristic for notification only, and uses Public Address for Advertising. I send the notifications to Central with an interval of 100msec, triggered by a Timer. The Wireless Stack was generated with STM32WBCubeFW V1.22.1 under CubeMX 6.14.1. Everything is fine in STM32WB55RG. But after migration to STM32WB5MMG, with absolutely the same related to Wireless stack parameters, it works only advertising. Connections always fail! Any suggestions?   

We purchased 1,200 STM32WB55VGY6TR chips from the STmicroelectronics eStore for production. We encountered several firmware programming issues during the manufacturing process, and while investigating the cause, we noticed that the device marking was printed as WB55VEY. The chips that were successfully programmed appear to be OK. The device marking is printed as WB55VEY6, but the actual flash memory capacity is 1MB and the contents appear to be WB55VGY. Can we assume that the chip in the attached photo is an STM32WB55VGY6TR and use it without any problems? Hi there,i am planning to create a "smart light" (on/off) which is compatible with philips hue with a stm32wb55RG (nucleo).I have digged a bit into the numerous examples for zigbee applications and also tried some of them, basically the on/off examples with two boards. They worked and all is fine.Now i am about to gather informations what would be the best start of getting this into my Hue Bridge.Currently my Bride does not see those end devices from the example, so i can not add it there.Does anyone has some kind of Tip or Setup which you can share which is aiming to work with Hue? Thank you

Hello,Right now I am using 2 STM32WBA55G-DK1, one as PBP_Source and other is TMAP_Peripheral. The source consists of 2 BIS channels and in TMAP, I have included language selection option to include the subgroup or channel selection. And its working fine. But if I select Unicast option and pair with S24 mobile, only first channel or subgroup I can select, not the 2nd one. May I know whats the reason and how to overcome from this. Thank you

Hi,i have a bit of situation here.I wanted to try a zigbee example from cube mx (On/off ED).So i first flashed the FUS v2.2.0 on the device.But now it turns out that i can not flash the desired FW anymore : stm32wb5x_Zigbee_FFD_fw.bin.It only errors :(I have the feeling that this FW is not working with FUS 2.2?If so - I am right that i can not downgrade FUS anymore once it is updated? This basically would mean i wasted hundreds of EURs for those dev boards.

Code works when J15 is open (i.e., pins 1 and 2 are not shorted) on X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1, but the EXTI interrupt on PA0 of STM32F411RE never triggers in its code. On X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1 R70, R81, R83, R84, R86, and R87 are DNP / NC. While R76, R82, R85, R88, R116, R74, R75, R79, R80, R77, R119, R71, R117, and R73 are connected.J!0 pins 1 and 2 are shorted. J14 pins 2 and 3 are shorted.2. Using LightBlue App on mobile. Whatever changes I make to code I do not observe event value 5 on disconnect. I always observe event_pckt->evt reporting value 4. Hello,I’m using an STM32WBA65 and trying to communicate with a peripheral (PTX30W) over I2C1.The peripheral requires the following I²C sequence: START → WRITE → REPEATED START → READ → STOP However, using HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit() followed by HAL_I2C_Master_Receive() does not work, because both HAL functions generate a STOP condition, and the PTX30W does not accept a STOP between the write and read phases.On STM32WBA, I don’t see a HAL equivalent of HAL_I2C_Master_TransmitReceive() that would allow a repeated START without a STOP in between.My questions are:Is there a way to achieve a WRITE + REPEATED START + READ sequence using the HAL on STM32WBA?Or is the correct

I'm having the same issue on my NUCLEO-WBA65RI project. This problem specifically occurs when I try to use both X-CUBE-FREERTOS and STM32_WPAN. The project cleanly builds just fine if I only use one or the other, but as soon as I try to include both in a project I receive this "fatal error: crc_ctrl.h: No such file or directory" error. I am currently using X-CUBE-FREERTOS version 1.3.1 with CMSIS RTOS2 version 10.6.2. I can see in the BLE_HeartRateFreeRTOS project that there is a CRC_Ctrl folder generated under "Application/User/System/Config" that is not being generated under "System/Config" on my system, in addition to crc_ctrl.c/h not being generated under "Projects/Common/WPAN/Modules" on my system. Moved from this thread.

Hi,I need help with latest X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1 board firmware/software. The schematic available on ST website looks old as it shows R700 but it is unavailable on my board. On my board R117 has a zero ohm resistance connected. The D1 on the board does not turn On after Power ON.I have purchased NUCLEO-STM32F411RE and X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1 boards.The STM32F411 with updated firmware is unable to talk to the BlueNRG2 board.The D1 on BlueNRG2 board remains OFF. The J10 pins remains shorted. I have tried shorting the J15 pins as well as swapping the J14 connections from pins 2-3 to pins 1-2.I do have ST-Link V2 debugger with me.Please help me download the firmware for ST website for the board containing  IC: 8976C-BNRGM2SP so that I can use the BLE in different modes. Hi ,we are using LORA , 22 dBm , 3.3V system , TX and RX path are connected via RF SWITCH on Board . we see minor Sensitivity Degradation  of 1-2 dB only around the  HSE 32 Mhz clock multiple. ( Sensitivity of the stm32wle5 receiver path )I have several questions regarding this Errata issue:1. Does the SPUR issue happen only in TX Mode or also in RX mode of the stm32wle5 ?2. If it relates also to RX mode - cause this spur be the cause of the sensitivity degradation of the stm32wle5 ? Thank you,Viola
