STM32 MCUs Wireless

Posted on April 04, 2017 at 11:41I am using I-CUBE-LRWAN firware.But have different controller STM32L082 instead of STM32L053 mentioned in End node example Application.By default it have OTAA,I changed to ABP method.I am using SX1276 radio and i have changed all the pins accordingly i have connected. Edited hw_conf.h and commisiong.h file and entered all the keys.But i am not able to communicate with the gateway.Can anyone help what are files even more i need to edit.#lora #lorawan #i-cube-lrwan

Posted on February 24, 2017 at 13:40For a new IoT proof-of-concept (PoC) I shortly start I need to measure some parameters like e.g. temperature in a building environment (building can be broad interpreted: an office building, a hospital, etc.). After some investigation I think an option would be using Sub 1GHz for connectivity. My questions:- Would indeed Sub 1GHz be a viable option for these kinds of use cases?- Or, are there better alternatives? - For our PoC what devkits/components (a few edge device kits + a gateway device to connect the edge devices to the Internet/CLoud), as a result of my 2 previous questions, can we best use?Thanks.#sub-1ghz-nucleo #stm32 #nucleo #wireless

Posted on February 21, 2017 at 11:13The setup consist of a STM32l152RE Nucleo board, with a LoRa transciever. The code base is the LoRaMac code from Semtech on Github - SensorNode version, as this is targeting sx1276. The IDE I use is Keil uVision v5.The initial target is L151C8. I successfully changed the target to STM32L152R8 or RB and have the code properly run on the Nucleo board, fitted with STM32L152RE.As soon as I move to higher feature MCU, such as RC, RD or RE, the timer interrupts are not raised anymore, preventing the code to properly work.Is there any changes to be done when moving up in the range?#nucleo-l152re #lorawan

Posted on February 15, 2017 at 17:25Hello,I have a NUCLEO-L073RZ+ SX1272MB2DAS development Pack. I've tried to run the software provided with that but it seems that the board doesn't send the frame when it has.The frame are sended sporadically.I downloaded the V 1.0.3 of the sofware released in January. Posted on February 15, 2017 at 11:27Hey there. I am experimenting with LoRaWAN (the things network) and the STM32L053C8 discovery board.I set up my sysclock to MSI 2 MHz and the systick interrupt to count up 10000 times a second (100us ticks). This is required by the lmic library to provide accurate timing for 2 receive windows.The problem is, that both of the receive windows time out every time. Despite the fact, that the nucleo board can send debug data (TX) to mi PC and this data is correctly displayed in the serial terminal application.Going through the I-Cube examples I found serial communications code, which I am able to compile, flash to the nucleo boards and successfully execute and exchange data. The interrupt and DMA examples alone do work without any changes.But when I combine the LRWAN Class A code and the serial RX code from the examples (adapted to work with the vcom.c/h code) t

Does it need any external DRAM?-> We should be able to connect Bluetooth antenna.-> It needs good SPI performance, speed up to 8 MHz, low-latency driver->needs communicate to Ethernet controller and also needs UART for GPS and serial communication. Is there any controller that can satisfy these requirements? If NO, please recommend a controller with all the functionalities mentioned above (Linux,2 UARTs, SPI and Ethernet controller) except the Bluetooth antenna(so that we could use Bluetooth module instead of antenna).#lora

Posted on October 01, 2016 at 11:32Hello,We started development of a LoRaWAN Sensor with the I-CUBE-LRWAN software stack in combination with a NUCLEO-L152RE and SX1272MB2DAS expansion board.I have made the following changes to the code after a clean download:- Changed commissioning.h file to do ADP with my Lorank8 gateway - Disabled dutycycle in lora.c:81 - Enabled LORAWAN_CONFIRMED_MSGNo what I expect from the code is to receive the confirm message send from the gateway in RX2. Posted on November 07, 2015 at 16:48Hi, I ported an example from the stm32f4 cube lib for stm32f469I_eval board to a nucleo f411. I works quite well with a wired keyboard but does not work with a microsoft wireless keyboard. I thought that it may be because the ms keyboard migth be USB 2.0. I switch to a f429 disco board and used the usb_ot_hs port but without more success ; the app still does not work with the ms keyboard. The USBH_UserProcess is correctly called once with APPLICATION_START then with APPLICATION_READY as param. The USB_HID_GetDeviceType returns HID_KEYBOARD which is correct. Posted on November 24, 2014 at 20:10Hi, I'm using Dizic radio modules (STM32W108CB based ones) with SimpleMac v2.0.1 library. Overall, the example projects work with exception of packet transmission (802.15.4). Every time it accepts the packet transmission with ST_RadioTransmit() but always ends with ''NO ACK'' case in callback function. Also, nothing is received in other modules (even in promiscuous mode). I've tested it with XBee module and the STM32W/simplemac receives the packets from the XBee. But never transmits anything. No error but NO ACK is given. #stm32w-wireless-simplemac

Posted on July 11, 2014 at 19:01Hi, I would like to know if it would be better to send AT commands to the HC-06 Bluetooth module via an interrupt handler or a while(1) in the main as well as some pointers on the code I am trying to get correct and working. I am not sure if I require delays to allow module to reply. Posted on March 18, 2013 at 05:29Hi All, Im after adding WiFi capabilities to my PCB (either onboard chip or shield) for the STM32F4. Basically the unit will need to connect to a network via DHCP and dump data from an SD card to the server. I'm using IAR workbench. Does anyone know of a unit with good documentation / resource with code examples preferably for IAR? A range of protocols a/b/g/n is probably good. I found this sagrad module (http://www.sagrad.com/), anyone used it? Basically i'd like to get a popular unit with lots of resources rather than a cheap Chinese unit that noone uses and would have to spend hours creating my own libraries.
