STM32 MPUs

I want to create my own machine.I'm trying to create with reference to following Wiki Page.https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_create_your_own_machine​In "2 Generate device tree" in the wiki page, I need to set device tree from STM32CubeMX to "mx" directory.However, OpenSTLinux Distribution Package (openstlinux-20-02-19) that I have install has no "mx" directory  in "meta-st-stm32mp-addons".​Do I need any other steps to create "mx" directory in "meta-st-stm32mp-addons" automatically?And, in the case that I want to change kernel or u-boot or tf-a device tree, all I need is to change device tree in "mx" directory?Do I need any other steps to reflect the change of device tree setting?For reference, I have tried to create "mx" directory manually and set device tree to "mx" directory, but bitbake failed.(Error message shows "No rule to make target arch/arm/boot/dts/xxxxxxxx.dtb")Best regards,H. I'm using FreeRTOS v10.2.1, CMSIS RTOS v1 main.c (generated by CubeMX) has:...osThreadDef(defaultTask, StartDefaultTask, osPriorityNormal, 0, 128);...where osPriorityNormal is zero as defined in cmsis_os.hI spawn all other tasks using the FreeRTOS xTaskCreate call where task priority is from 0..MAX_PRIORITIES-1. How does FreeRTOS task priority maps to CMSIS task priority if it maps at all? The reason i ask is that if i keep StartDefaultTask alive, how does it get scheduled against those tasks created with xTaskCreate?

I am using STM32CubeIDE v1.4.2 on Ubuntu 18.04.05 with an STM32MP157C-DK2. The board is running the V2 Starter Kit image. If I set the boot switches to 'Reserved' (Boot 0 = 0, Boot2 = 1) I can program the M4 and step through the code. However, if I set the switches to 'Engineering Mode' (Boot0 = 0, Boot2 = 0) as ST suggests I cannot.Does anyone have any idea why I cannot run M4 code in 'Engineering Mode'? The issue seems to be 'external reset detected'. After this message there are timeout messages. Hello Guys.​I made a custom board from the EV1 circuit base, removing unnecessary parts.(Most of them are the same as the EV1. I am not using OTG (Only host USB's) in the PCB I connected OTG_VBUS to GND. Is this problematic? I saw that it should be left open but not sure if it is connected internally

Hi,I tried to follow setup for secure boot as detailed here: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MP15_secure_bootI'm working with Linux host PC running Ubuntu 18.04The 1st thing was to try generating keys.For this I tried to use "STM32MP_KeyGen_CLI" previously installed with STM32CubeProgrammer. Hi supporter,I use STM32Cube v1.10 on macos(Mojave) and linux(debian 9). The debug dialog has load mode option to choose production or engineering mode in stm32cubeide on linux system. But that dialog hasn't the load mode on macos.Below picture is debug dialog on macos.Does any thing I am missing to setup for stm32cubeide?

I want to use a SIP with ST32MP153 and it uses PC13 to PMIC wakeup, PC1 is used for MDC so I'm left with only PI8 so can't use active tamper.I sit possible to use Ethernet without MDC so I can use PC1 for active tamper with PI8?

I use STM32MP151CAA3 Cortex-M4 on my custom board.I have created Linux image running on my custom board.​In the case that the SD card is inserted for the first time, Linux image is running successfully.However, in the case that I turn power off and power on with the SD card inserted, boot fails despite using the same SD card.​Is there a difference when power on and when the SD card is inserted for the first time, such as the files to read?What should I investigate to solve this problem?​Best Regards,H. Hi all,I'm runnig the example 'OpenAMP_TTY_echo_wakeup' on a STM32MP157C-DK2. My question is regarding the Option 5) in the readme.Here we put the system into standby and wake the CA7 up then. Afterwards there is no FW running no the CM4.My Question: Is it also possible to exit the standby mode from the CM4 while the CA7 is still in standby? I mean in a way that the CM4 FW is still there and running?ThanksKlaas

I was hoping to find any examples/pre-built applications which can be run off the SD card to simply turn on an LED or so, for the STM32MP157A dev kit. Can anyone point me to any resources like this?

Hello Guys.​In the current state, when connecting the LAN cable and attempting to connect to the board's IP by SSH, it has been confirmed that the connection is immediately established.It is thought that anyone can access the board in this state.So I need to change root passwordHowever, there are no guidelines for how to do this on the WiKi Page.How can I change root password of STM32MP1?

Hi,iam trying to get an understanding of the OpenAMP Framework and i wanna use it for interprocess communication with the STM32MP1. As my understanding, the OpenAMP Framework could be used from Baremetal/RTOS side and apparently also from Linux Side. But when i had a look to the stm-wiki site i only found an Implementation of the OpenAMP to the Cortex M4 not to the A-Cores. So my question is, if there is any example to use OpenAMP also on the A-Cores, with the STM32MP1. Another Question is, if its possible to run the Linux in Slave Mode and the M4 In Mastermode? In my understanding its not possible with the STM32MP1 or?

Hello,we have a custom board based on STM32MP151C. On our SPI is the Ethernet Switch KSZ8794. How should I proceed to enable the ethernet in the U-Boot? I have already configured the etherne0 node (according to the ST documentation). Should I add the node to the spi node?

We are using the latest STM32CubeIDE (1.4.0) and are trying to develop applications for linux user space on our STM32MP157 board. Our goal is to use the cross compiler toolchain for developing and debugging with the IDE.When we create a new project, it seems the IDE doesn't create any ready to compile main.cpp files for the A7 processor like for the M4. See this screenshot: For the M4, the project compiles with the template main.c just fine. But for the A7, nothing is there.So my question is, is there any documentation on how to develop linux user space application with the STM32CubeIDE for the A7?Thank you.Best regards,Kevin

I am interested in the platform to evaluate wifi chips from different vendors. But based on the quick run through schematic, I don't think its possible to connect any different wifi chip (which has sdio as supported interface) in the DK2 kit. If anyone has performed similar exercise or have a different solution in mind, please feel free to educate me.

I want to know the role of the m4_***(for example m4_adc, m4_timers1) node in Cortex-A7 Device tree.​When I generate device tree from CubeMX, the m4_*** node are described even if that peripherals are used only on Cortex-M4 FW.​Do I need to set status = "okay" in Cortex-A7 device tree even if ​that peripherals are used only on Cortex-M4 FW?for example, When I use timer6 only on Cortex-M4 FW, Do I need to describe that status = "okay" in m4_timers6 node in device tree?Best regards,H.
