STM32CubeMX (MCUs)

Hello, I'm using TouchGFX on an STM32L452RET6 with an SPI screen. The screen has integrated GRAM, so I selected the partial buffer option in STM32CubeMX. STM32CubeMX generated the partial buffer code as expected, but it also generated code for a full frame buffer, which exceeds the MCU's RAM. I need to comment out this code to reduce RAM usage. How can I prevent STM32CubeMX from generating the full frame buffer code?STM32CubeMX version: 6.15.0X-Cube -TouchGFX package and TouchGFX Designer version: 4.25.0STM32L4 Cube package version: 1.81.1

Hi I have used STMCubeIDE 1.11.0 (Cube 1.6.1) to generate the code for USB CDC interface for STM32G0B1.The code is as CubeMX would generate. I have not modified the code at all.When I plug the device into a PC I get "USB device not recognized" I have increased the heap and stack to be 0x1000. without any luck. What can I try to try to figure out what the issue is.Thanks,

IntroSTM32CubeMX supports CMake since 6.11.0 as a tool chain option. Sometimes you want to customize your project, but you don't want generated files to be overwritten. I will reply to this post how to do these things and this will be the accepted answer. It's like a knowledge base article. Browsing the STM32CubeMx Docs&Resources page for information.The section "Application Notes for related Tools and Software" includes couple of links to documents targeting a specific MCU different from the currently viewed one.I.e. browsing for STM32H5, or STM32G4 there are also shown "Getting started with STM32N6 MCUs in STM32CubeIDE". And it's the same with WL, L5, MP1, ... CubeIDE ANs.

Hi, I started a new project with STM32U031C6. When I enabled Independent watchdog (IWDG), STM32CubeIDE generated the following line in the MX_IWDG_Init function:     __HAL_RCC_IWDG_CLK_ENABLE();When compiling the project, an error is generated:     undefined reference to '__HAL_RCC_IWDG_CLK_ENABLE'I could not find such a function either in the drivers included by STM32CubeIDE in the project or in the repository in the STM32CubeIDE installation directory.This function should enable the APB peripheral clock to the Independent Watchdog (IWDG), but I couldn't find anything for this purpose anywhere in the Reset and Clock Control (RCC) registers.Does this mean that the APB peripheral clock is always active for the Independent Watchdog (IWDG) and should not be enabled? In other words, is this function unnecessary and can I comment it out?I would be grateful for any help

Hello everyone,I'd like to report some issues I encountered while using NetXDuo to create a UDP server with a Nucleo-N657X0-Q board:There's no option to select a network interface other than the custom one — I had to manually add all the libraries related to the Ethernet interface and the LAN8742 driver.The folder ../../Drivers/CMSIS/Device/ST/STM32N6xx/Include/Templates needs to be added manually.Enabling NX_ENABLE_VLAN has no effect in the nx_user.h file.The linker script STM32N657X0HXQ_AXISRAM2_fsbl.ld is missing the tcp_sec and nx_data sections.After addressing all the issues above, I was finally able to get the UDP server working correctly! 

Using an STM32H7Rx or Sx, with both I2C2 and I2C3 in use, and clocked by PLL3R:Cube correctly configures I2C2. However, it doesn't seem to be aware that I2C2 and I2C3 share a clock, so it:incorrectly computes the timing for I2C3, as if it were using PCLK1 (the default), in MX_I2C3_Init();fails to insert the line "PeriphClkInit.I2c23ClockSelection = RCC_I2C23CLKSOURCE_PLL3R;" in the init code for I2C3, in HAL_I2C_MspInit(). This sets both I2C channels back to PCLK1, thereby breaking I2C2 as well.(I didn't try the other clock sources - HSI and CSI - but it's possible that they too

I don't use the code-generation features of the STM32CubeMX, but rather use it just for pin-planning purposes when designing hardware. I've noticed that when enabling the Ethernet MAC, that the SMI / MIIM peripheral is automatically enabled and allocated pins. There are many cases where this is inappropriate (e.g., some other device is managing the interface, no management is possible, or another bus type is used) and it would be lovely for STM32CubeMX to treat these two things as the fully-unrelated peripherals that they really are.The workaround is to manually assign each Ethernet pin individually, but this is brutally unpleasant. Could ST please divorce these two peripherals within the STM32CubeMX software?

Hello,while configuring the CSI interface for camera , on its enablement in the STM32CubeMX why I can’t see the GPIOs corresponding to it in the flip section? does it has any dependency on any other peripheral?or clock setting?under the configuration it says warning: this peripheral has no parameters to be configured.Unlike in any other peripheral like I2C or  SPI where I can see the corresponding GPIO i am checking this on STM32N657X0HxQ .regards, 

Using an STM32H7Rx or Sx, using I2C2 clocked by PLL3R at 10 MHz:If you set the I2C speed to 10 kHz with analog filter disabled, you get a timing value of 0x1010F1FF, with SCLH and SCLL values of 241 and 255. This seems reasonable.However, if you enable the analog filter, you get 0x400007BE. This does produce the correct frequency - but the SCLH and SCLL values are 7 and 190, which do not appear to be sensible.Is this a bug?(I've sent an IOC file to @Souhaib MAZHOUD ; you'll need to edit the I2C2 settings to see this happen.) 

Hi all,I recently updated the IDE to v1.19 and MX to v6.15.0, and the MX code generation is no longer working for me.After some testing, I found out I can create new projects and code is (apparently) well generated. After this first generation, if i change anything in CubeMX and regenerate, the .ioc file is updated accordingly but the code is not changing at all.My device is STM32U575VG (FW package 1.8.0).As an example I created a project with just TIM1, generated the code, added TIM2 through CubeMX and renegerated.I attach the first .ioc file (DELME_New_Project.ioc) and the updated (DELME_Updated_Project.ioc) for reference. The code has not been updated:

STM32CubeIDE Version 1.19.0Build: 25607_20250703_0907I created a project using the STM32F107 and Ethernet. Everything was setup using the .ioc template with Ethernet and various GPIO stuff. Lwip was not included. I generated the code and all of the Ethernet configuration was created. Compiling the code worked with no errors.I have not connected my board and tried to program it as I just wanted to see if CubeIDE would generate the code properly for the STM32F107 part.I then re-opened the .ioc file and enabled Lwip since that was my goal. Now when I generate the code, it removes all of the Ethernet setup code. This means none of the Ethernet RMII pin mapping is in place and none of the Ethernet files are in the project.Is the STM32F107 no longer supported for Ethernet+Lwip applications? I just need a simple application with 2 buttons to control 2 relays. An STM32F7xx is overkill.I think I remember reading somewhere a couple of years ago that ST

Hi,Using STM32CubeMX version 6.15.0When I start a new project from the NUCLDO-F767ZI board I just get a blank chip, none of the component configuration at all, I tried it on two PC's both the same.This used to work and was quite handy starting a new project.  At the moment I am going through a selection of processors so having to manually configure it before I can test it is a bit of a pain, any solutions? 

Hi Support team, I am working on the FREERTOS based project and i need to disable the code generation for pendsv handler, systick handler, svc handler . As this handlers are written in freeRTOS, I am getting error for multiple definations. I have seen the option to skip the code generation in previous versions of the software but now i am not able to do so. you can see an empty page in code generation option. Please help solve the issue.

Hello,I have an STM32G474RE Nucleo board configured in Dual Regular Simultaneous Mode for ADC 3/4 using CubeMX. I noticed some strange behavior with ADC 4, specifically that its conversions freeze after operating for some length of time. I thought I was experiencing a software problem on my end, but after much testing and ordering another board, I believe the issue is inherent to the STM32G474RE. When I configure a simple test for ADC pair 1/2 with DMA, using Dual Regular Simultaneous Mode and triggered by a timer, and separate the resulting conversions into two 16-bit values in the debugging window, no issues arise. But when I repeat the test and only change the ADC pair to ADC 3 (master) and ADC 4 (slave), the conversions from ADC 4 freeze every time after some length of time. I also noticed that any other code makes the problem worse. For example, if I poll SPI Transmit/Receive in the while loop in main, the readings from ADC 4 freeze almost immediately. I even tested

Hi there! Not entirely sure if I'm missing anything here: I've been running issue when usign FatFs library with SDMMC1 on a STM32H755ZI due to the MBR sector readback been partially incorrect. Specifically during check_fs() where we check location where the ASCII for "FAT32" is store in the MBR sector (first 512bytes). The card can be verified to function correctly using HxD tool on Windows:However, through SDIO on the STM32 platform, I was getting different result for the byte [82:86], as the location is completely cleared. byte[32:24] seems to be offset to a completely different location instead:

Hey! I'm trying to get USB up and running on a STM32U595VJT6. From the reference manual, it says it's supported.   However, when in STM32CubeMX, the USB_OTG_HS is grayed out. This is on a fresh project, so there's no pin conflicts or similar. This is how it looks:   Do you have any ideas what the problem might be?

I generated a project template from STM32CubeMX using the following settings:Toolchain/IDE: CMakeDefault compiler/linker: Arm-ClangCompilation works fine, but when linking starts, I get this error:ld.lld: error: STM32G474XX_FLASH.ld:105: symbol not found: READONLYIt looks like the Arm toolchain (even the latest v21.1.1) doesn’t support the READONLY keyword. It’s not a big deal to adjust the .ld file - just remove the READONLY keywords - but it would be nice if the generated template worked out of the box.Am I missing a setting somewhere? Is there an alternative/better way to obtain the linker file?Edit: I'm using the STM32G474.
