For JTAG I am using stellar link debugger, and I have to connect this debugger with microcontroller which is powered with other power supply, how to isolate or connect these connections, any digital isolator is suggested for this ?

I have not been able to find any documentation on how to use the StellarStudio tool. Does any publicly exist, or does this need to be supplied by an FAE? Thanks.

I Used SR5E1E7 eval board 7000p and I am on a custom board with SR5E1E5.JLink connection is via SWD interface. Programming, reading problem is without any problem. Dear Community,I have a general question. I wanted to use C++ classes in SPC5 Studio to get a cleaner project structure.For this, I changed main.c to main.cpp and included the C headers using extern "C". I also enabled the C++ linker in the Platform Component RLA.The project builds without any issues, but the parsing errors in the editor are extremely annoying. A lot of the code is marked in red even though it compiles fine.Does anyone know what setting I need to adjust to get rid of all these unresolved reference errors in the parser (i presume...)?Kind regards,TKorn

Hi,On the SR6P3C4 page (https://www.st.com/en/automotive-microcontrollers/sr6p3c4.html) there's a databrief. But not much about a datasheet, specification, or any deeper information about the modules associated with it. Is there a way to access those?Also (still related to the first question), the data brief does say something about maximum junction temperature of 165C, with a note:Nominal specification up to 150 °C. Delta specification up to 165 °C.I'm not sure to understand what does the delta specification means.Thank You

Hi, I'm using SPC560D-Discovery and want to boot it via UART: I've closed J12 and J13 according to the UM1681 and then powered on the board. Since SPC5FlashProgrammer is not supporting SPC560D I connect and send messages manually with Python. According RM0045 I've set UART for 19200 baud rate (SPC560D has 16MHz osc) and sent the password, but the uC answered me with every second byte and I definitely see that with logic analyzer: 13:42:46.503 -> FE EF FA CE CA FE BE EF | I've sent 13:42:46.518 -> FE FA CA BE | response from board 

Hi Members,The EV-582B board seems to be out of stock within numerous distributors (Mouser/Digikey...) and no release date in sight.May the available SPC582-DIS replace (as both share the same microprocessor) and be reprogrammed with the already compiled Chorus1M_VNF1048_discovery.elf/Chorus1M_VNF1248_discovery.elf firmwares (with some rewiring between the mother and daughter boards if needed)?A better solution would be to publish the source code and leave the customers compile it on wathever SPC5 motherboard they own. It has been asked numerous times in the VNF1048F posts but STM does not seem to hear our voices.Hope we will get solutions soon as ST members seem reluctant to answer (7 posts under 10 about the VNF1048F without answers... my 2 cents!).Regards,Michel

Hello Community,I would like to understand in general how to activate a peripheral interface such as CAN or FlexRay on the SPC58 platform.I have looked at the example projects and identified a few required steps.However, I would like to confirm whether I covered all major points needed to enable a peripheral.Configuring the PinMux using the PinMap editor → connecting the hardware pins to the selected communication interfaceEnabling the peripheral clock using the corresponding PCTL indexIs this enough to connect the hardware pins to the selected communication interface?Thanks for your help!Best regards,TKORN

Dear community,I am currently working on the FlexRay driver and wondered, where do I have to put the base address?In my opinion, it seems that I have to lay the base address in the system RAM area. Hi !We are using an SR5E1E7. We want to put it as LockStep (both core and dma).So we have to setup the register 'Global System Configuration' / SYS_CFG_REG.We seen that we need to use the DCF.Do you have any example / file to setup this mcu like this ? We couldn't find any document on the web, execpt the MPC5xxx DCF configuration from NXP.Here some question we had:- How can we calculate this ? Have you any DCF configurator xsl like NXP are doing ?- To set the Cores as Lock Step and the DMA as Lock Step, we need to only write to the 'Core Enable and LSConfiguration' of the DCF ? With the value being the one we want in the 'Global System Configuration DCF' with the exact same mapping. '0b00000000000000010000000100000011' in our case, all core enabled and all lock step set- Does this step can be done at runtime ? By directly addressing the adr 0x1FF80398 ?- Or is this only accessib

How can I boot my own application on sr5e1?I read about DCF and BAF but it is not really clear what I need to do in order to let my code run out of power on.Any hint/guidance? Cheers

Hi,I'm trying to figure out what to expect for current consumption for the SR5E1E570C30F01X. The datasheet DS13808 - Rev 8 - November 2025 notes under "3.7 Device consumption" that "The following table [table 10] reports each single contributor factor to the device consumption. Refer to Figure 3. Device consumption measurement to see where each contributor is measured.". However, upon inspecting figure 3, it does not contain the required information. Notably, I_DD_HV and I_DD_HV_SMPS_LKG are not shown in the figure despite their grave importance. Hi,I am currently working on the SPC574k Discovery board and having issues with getting an Output on most off the pins. In my attached image configuration I only get an Output on ATOM1_0, ATOM1_1, ATOM2_1 and ATOM3_0. I use the MCS Module to generate an output for each channel. I checked the code for the mcs module and if I route the signal from originally ATOM1_4 to the ATOM1_0, the correct signal apears on the ATOM1_0 Pin.I am also not able to control a number of Pins via the normal GPIO function even when they are correctly configured.My question, is there some additional limitation in the GPIO Matrix of the chip? Do I have to set a configuration in code to get certain pins to work or could I have a defective Microcontroller?Kind Regards,Sir_Alee

For everyone who is thinking about starting a project on an SPC5x MCU: don’t. Just don’t. On paper, it looks great. Beautiful marketing slides. Pin mapping, clock tree, HW initialization… a cheap multicore debugger… everything you could ever want. Amazing.  You want to set the clock? Cute. Unfortunately, for your E-family MCU, there is no clock tree. Because… reasons. Oh, you want to set up GTM? No problem! There’s a default configuration, just pick what you need. Just don’t pick ATOM3. Or ATOM4. Or anything beyond ATOM2, really. It won’t work. No warning, no error, no hint. It just silently does nothing. What about ST support? Haha. Good one. You already designed your PCB using ATOM3? Congratulations. You can now spend a few months trying to make it work before finally hot-wiring your board like it’s a Soviet-era radio, just to avoid ATOM3. Hello, recently, in attempt to create custom software for SPC56EL70 programming, I have encountered a problem to successfully launch RAM located program inside of the MCU. Discovery board is used for the test.Programming operations are commit via JTAG, and communication layer is already built and shows no faults. Full read of flash memory of the processor was successfully done. Since I haven't worked with any of SPC MCUs before, my JTAG set of instructions are based on MPC5xxx line, so you can assume that main issues might be in key differences between these methods.Firstly, in SPC5 Studio IDE, program for test is created, for example "led blink". For program .ld file is corrected for all segments to be located in RAM(No entry adjustments, ORIGIN is adjusted to ram).MCU is started, MMU, SRAM, are initialized. Bin file is then loaded to RAM(it is then checked for presence), and after that CPUSCR instruction is passed with PC having 0x40000000 - 0x04(NOP as IR)

Hello, does the SPC58EG80E5xxCxx variant have the checker core feature for core 0 or is the checker core unique to the ASIL-D variant such as SPC58EG80E5xxHxx? 

With the MCU enable BAF and Core0 / 1 /2 reset vectors are place at 0xFC0008 / 0xFC0004 / 0xFC000C, my question is how the 3 reset vector be called during power on? just be called one by one? the reference manual doesn't give clearly description; this confused me a long time.
