I need help for the SPC570S Discovery Kit board. Baud rate are matched and I tried all COM ports on my PC. I use a JTAG debugger SPC5-UDESTK for programming/debugging. Please help, thanks in advance!

Hi ST community,I am new to SPC5 Automotive chips but not new to programming in the embedded world. I am currently programming on the SPC574k discovery board and have severe problems finding good documentation on how to actually program the thing in SPC5 Studio. I found the reference manual (rm0408), and some guides and datasheets (an can in SPC58EC, an4389, um2155, rm0361, and some others), but they mainly offer only conceptual knowledge and register mappings.I also looked into the samples and although very helpfull, they are more of a starting point than a documentation.Is there a way to get actual guides and documentation to the numerous functions and configuration options of the SPC5 Studio IDE? Do I have to contact someone, pay for it or sign something or is there none?Kind regads,Sir_Alee

Dear Team,           I have some doubts about How to use SPC5 Studio Application for Enabling GPIO,UART,SPI and etc. We are developing custom board using SPC582B60E1MH00Y MCU for our application. We are new for this SPC5 Controller and Studio Application. We found some source through online about creating a project in SPC5 Studio. But we are struggling to use SPC5 Studio Application. So kindly guide me to use SPC5 Studio for GPIO, UART Configuration and some other peripherals. Next need to some clarification about add drivers for our project( example:SPC582Bxx Low Level Drivers Component RLA), And AutoDevkit Driver component is need for all project development in SPC5 Studio. Hello, I'm using the SPC58NH-DISP board, and my application needs to preserve some variables across a software reset — such as when the reset button is pressed or a WDT reset occurs. My application requires a warm boot feature.When I assign a value to a variable, I expect it to be retained in RAM after a reset. However, on this architecture (Power Architecture), that doesn't happen.Is there a way to protect certain variables so they retain their values after a software reset, reset button press, or WDT reset?

Hi, I'm developing a Bootloader for SPC58, If I full secure the micro and put its LC status as In-Field on UTEST, is there a way from the internal code (I can implement a serial command for the purpose) to unlock the JTAG? Or there is no way animore? Best regardsGMG

Hallo,I tried to use the DSPI_0 interface with the transfer configuration as shown in the picture, but cannot generate the necessary code with the error shown below. I could try a walkaround with byte wise frames and exchanging 4 bytes at a time but I would rather use the correct frame size.I hope someone can help me.Generation Error 

In SPC5 Studio, I have an example of CAN communication using the SPC58xGxx board. When loopback mode is enabled, the transmission works correctly. However, when I disable loopback mode, the transmission fails. Could you provide guidance on how to successfully transmit CAN messages without using loopback mode? Additionally, I would like to know how to monitor the CAN signals using Peak-CAN.

I want to generate pwm signal with spc582B with out the signal directly to pin emios0 channel 11 (uc11 pin).Already use the pwm Icu sample project. With channel 11 out, so I use group 1. When running, the periode callback is working, but still no out in the emios0 channel 11 pin.How to properly configure pin signal of the pwm?  

Hello,As part of a custom BMS project, I am trying to add a cyclic CAN Message Transmission functionality to the board. I have been able to implement CAN transmission functionality on the main_core0 function where a function is called after every 500msec using osalthreadelay function. But I wanted to enable some PIT timers and run these CAN functions as callbacks. I am seeing that as soon as I add these PIT timers (whose frequency is not that high, 1hz and 2 hz), the whole code just stops and I stop receiving anything on serial or CAN. Is there something I am missing with my implementation? I have attached my main.c file with this post. Would appreciate the support. Thank you! Vipul  

Hello,I just received a copy of the STEVAL-TTM005A.From the documentation, if I use a 5V power supply, the EXC output should be "9Vpp".As a quick test, I supplied the board with 5V, and fed it a 10kHz Sine Wave as EXCIN.  For the output, I see 0 to 5V on EXC+ and 0 to 5V on EXC-.  How can I confirm the "9Vpp"?Also, if I wanted a lower voltage, 7Vpp for example to better-match the spec for a resolver that I am using, can I just reduce the 5V power supply to something lower?Thanks! FYI...The scope capture for EXCIN, EXC+ and EXC-:   

I’m trying to implement FOTA on SPC58NH, and changing the application start address is causing some issues.The 0x011C0000 flash block is not included in the boot record search locations.So I need to make the core start from this address, but I failed on the first attempt, and now the board doesn’t allow JTAG connection (possibly permanently locked?).I need advice for a second attempt.Please advise how to register a custom application start address that is not supported in the boot record search locations. <Common setup>The application is placed at 0x011C0000 with RCHW.Core2 start address is 0x011C0060.<First attempt>A valid RCHW was placed at 0x00FC0000.This code simply jumps to 0x011C0000.0x011C0000 c

I have been using SPC5-UDESTK with a STM58 evaluation board. I now need to start working with multiple cores, but it appears that the starter kit license does not support this functionality. Will the SPC5-UDEDEBG license allow for multi-core debugging? The documentation for SPC5-UDEDEBG specifies core 2 only, while PLS mentions multi-core support for the SPC58 family. If SPC5-UDEDEBG does not support multi-core debugging, what other tools have users successfully used for this purpose?

Currently there is no appropriate documentation regarding the SPE module in the GTM. Is it discontinued? If anyone has a any good example regarding the SPE implementation or any application note regarding SPE. It would be helpful. 

We used to have that working but now can only used weak or medium drive on the SPI pins (SCK & SOUT).Pin mapper or manual editing of the board.c file only gives us weak (0) or medium drive(1){(int16_t)MSCR_IO_INDEX(PORT_D, SCK_4), PAL_LOW, (iomode_t)PAL_SPC5_SSS(2) | PAL_SPC5_OERC(3) | PAL_SPC5_SMC | PAL_SPC5_ODC(2) | PAL_SPC5_ILS(0) | PAL_SPC5_IBE}, Any tips on how to fix this

HelloI intend to use SARADC with SPC570S-DISP chip and I'm not able to operate correctly.I configured the saradc driver to use the pin ANP8, which corresponds to the board's potentiometer. I set up an interrupt to read the value. While the counter inside the interrupt is functioning, the ADC value does not change when I adjust the potentiometer.
