Posted on July 10, 2013 at 10:56Hello, I am trying to configure the ADC to be triggered by the CTU. But using a debugger I can see, that many of my configurations made in Tresos are not taken over to the �C registers. As far as I can see the ''init'' code parts are executed as long as  ADC_ResultsBufferPtr[] inside the genrated file Adc_Cfg.c contains NULL_PTR. Sadly I am not able to find the correct setting to get some values in ADC_ResultsBufferPtr[]. How do I get rid of the NULL_PTR entries. Thanks #spc56

Bulding CAN code based on example for SPC56ELx produce this error:build/obj/can.o: In function `canStart': can.c:(.text_vle.canStart+0x2c): undefined reference to `osalThreadSleepS' collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make: *** [build/out.elf] Error 1 CAN configuration it is same that example. But i have added Chibios. I have replaced osalThreadSleepS(1) with osalThreadSleepSeconds(1) in :C:\SPC5Studio\eclipse\plugins\org.chibios.spc5.components.spc5hal_1.0.0.201310031641\component\lib\src But it seem  not correct. Why compiler don't find function osalThreadSleepS?  there are conflicts with Chibios? #osalthreadsleeps #can

Posted on October 18, 2013 at 16:46I just installed SPC5Studio, and tried to create new project called FirstSPC5Project.  I went through File->New->C Project and created the Hello World project.  I chose to put project in a custom location.  The project seems to have been created and put where I expect on my hard drive but it does not show up in the Project Explorer.  The only things I get in the project explorer are a bunch of example projects. I've attached a word file with a screen shot showing that the project is not there.  Any help is appreciated.  This is indeed my first SPC5 project so it is quite possible I am missing something obvious.

I run SPC5Studio v1.2.1.exe as Admin on Win7 64bit, but it fails and reports: ''Unable to save file: C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Installations\... Studio.msi'' i click OK, a directory chooser pops up, i choose a directory i am guaranteed to have write access to, after a little while another message pops up: ''1628: Failed to complete installation'' hitting OK, this window closes, end of story. on my System ''C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Installations\'' does not exist. how can i get SPC5 Studio installed on my Win7 64bit System? regards rainer

Posted on July 17, 2013 at 16:00In the course of learning SPC5 Studio I modified the Makefile and rules.mk to output a Motorola srec (.mot) in addition to the regular outputs. This can be very useful for those of us with a Motorola/Freescale background.The question is; How to make these changes permanent? Whenever I re-generate the application, rules.mk is overwritten.

Posted on July 25, 2013 at 16:29Hello,Background:We are using the SPC56EL70 and it's Flash driver in our Firmware.Problem description:While using the Erase API of the Flash driver we have erased the shadow memory area of the Flash memory.After having erased this area, when the MCU was given a hard reset (by a Power ON/OFF cycle), it is observed to be unusable.The debugger does not connect to the MCU, and we are unable to download new Firmware.Problem severity:The shadow memory erase has been executed on all 5 of our MCU boards, as a result of which all 5 boards have become defunct.We need urgent help and support to restore the boards to a working state. Kindly provide guidance to help us overcome this problem.Thanks a lot in advance.

Posted on July 17, 2013 at 15:16Hi, I want to explore the SPC5 Studio. Therefore I created a new SPC5 C/C++ Makefile project. In the configuration.xml I added via the graphical editor a ''STMicroelectronics SPC560B/Cxx Platform Component''. To this component I added a ''SPC5-HAL SPC560BCxx OS-Less Runtime Package Component''. In one of its sub-components (''SPC5-HAL Portable HAL Component'') I tried to activate some drivers. But there are only two drivers configurable (''PAL'' and ''Serial''). All other drivers can't be selected. (1) My first question is now whether I forgot something important to activate other drivers or is there an other way to do that. (2) Second I wanted to request if there are some more documentations about the SPC5 Studio than those which can be found in the Studio itself. Best regards,<

Posted on July 09, 2013 at 14:15 Hello, i have a doubt. The Daughter/adapter board SPC56ELADPT144S is for SPC56xxEL family. In SPC56ELADPT144S datasheet is written:  device supported SPC56EL60L5. But when i search in WEB page for SPC56xxEL family i don't find SPC56EL60L5. WEB page: http://www.st.com/web/en/catalog/sense_power/FM2098/SC963/SS1534 in MCU list there are SPC56EL60L3 or SPC56EL70L5. SPC56ELADPT144S support a MCU that it don't exists?  i think that's impossible! There is an error? However, error apart,  are MCU SPC56EL70L5 compatible with SPC56ELADPT144S? I'm using the SPC5604 at 8MHz, FAB and ABS pins are set to boot from CAN. A dedicated CAN probe is used from a PC to perform the CAN boot protocol. According to ST's application notes and datasheets I must sent my messages at 200kbds.First I send the default password 0xFEEDFACECAFEBEEF to CANID 0x011 and according to the application note I shall receive an echo of this message at CANID 0x001. Unfortunately I do not receive any messages. Then I try to send address and size... still no answer.Did somebody know why? What did I missed? #boot #can #spc56xx #bam

SPC564AADPT324S/XPC564AADPT324S (they also are identical according to the schematics)Problem:1. LEDs do not flash2. Using the BDM debugger (P&E Micro USB Multilink PPC Nexus) I can see that the SIU.PCR and eMIOS.CCR registers are not configured correctly. In fact they appear to have the default values in them. I actually have my own app running on this board under CodeWarrior so I know that the board works and what the correct SIU.PCR and eMIOS.CCR values should be.Observations:I am wondering if the problem is in the chip configuration. Is there any support for the eTPU2 in SPC5 Studio and/or is any support planned?I am impressed by the SPC5 Studio software, but because of the unusual way it creates projects (the component concept) it will be very difficult to use without an example. I know that it is possible to create a new component, but without at least a minimal example you would be effectively porting the entire environment to a new architecture.

In the installation process I chose the option 30days embedded license but it seemed that it was not working.Do I need to require 1 year license by HighTech License Generation Flow? If i start my development with such enviroment i need to know how go ahead without stop and go. Second i'm not sure if Pictus line is supported by SPC5 studio configurato and compiler Thanks #spc56

Posted on February 06, 2013 at 22:37Hello, I have looked at the SPC5 studio preview and have a few comments/questions: 1.  When will a compiler be available? 2.  The SPC5 Studio seems to integrate the Chibios RTOS.  There is no documentation with the studio for the OS.  When will this be available?  The OS implementation does not match the Chibio documentation available on Chibios.org as the original OS was intended for z4 and z3 PPC cores.  What is changed between the original OS and the one used in the studio? 3.  Is there a possiblity to not use the OS but still use the drivers and configuration part of the studio?
