Posted on July 30, 2014 at 04:54I've compiled some code & I have .bin/.dmp/.elf/.hex/.map files. How do I program/flash whichever I need to flash into spc563M-disp board? I do have a PLS device, the driver and UDE Desktop installed. While AN4425 promises ''The document UM1602 (see Reference documents) is focused to describe and to understand how to use SPC5studio and how to create, build and debug a project.'', I do not see the word ''debug'' mentioned in UM1602 SPC5 Studio users guide even once, but maybe I am doing something wrong. Please advice.

Posted on July 24, 2014 at 12:44Hello, I installed SPC5 Studio and everything works fine and then after a view hours of working, i can´t build my project any more. I am always getting following error and i don´t know why: make -j4 all Cannot run program ''make'': Launching failed 12:30:14 Build Finished (took 47ms) I did not change anything in the settings, just using the SPC5 Studio as it is configured after the installation. But this error seems to come up randomly after a while. So i re-installed SPC-Studio several times. After the installation it worked again and I was able to build my projects. But during working on my code a get the same error again and again after a while. What could be the reason for that error upcoming randomly? I am using the 30days evaluation license from High-Tec.

Posted on July 10, 2014 at 14:34Hello, I want to use canReceive and specify the mailbox to read (do not use CAN_ANY_MAILBOX). Example: if I want to check the first mailbox, I use:canReceive(can1.canp, 1, &rxmsg, TIME_IMMEDIATE) == MSG_OK canReceive first checks if the buffer received data using the can_lld_is_rx_nonempty function. If you give the mailbox number 1 to this function, it checks the mailbox 0 (BUF[0]). The problem is that next to this check, the function can_lld_receive will access the second mailbox (BUF[1]). To fix this, I suggest to define CAN_ANY_MAILBOX to 0xFF and change the switch values in can_lld_is_rx_nonempty from 1-8 to 0-7. My target is SPC56EL60 but it applies to all families and I use SPC5 Studio. Is it a bug or I missed something? I can't update SPC5 Studio at the moment, this bug is maybe already fixed.

On a previous 8 bit micro the high z condition was satisfied by setting the port to an input and the high was satisfied by making the port and output and driving it high.I am using the Hal drivers for non-OS and am strugglinig to find the commands to do this. Directly after installing SPC5 Studio V3 and setting up the one-year licence, I'm able to get all SPC56EL60L5 examples from the SPC5 Studio Wizard working (on the board, CAN not in loop mode, ADC...). But it seems that I click somewhere I should not because it always ends after some time (PC reboot, app restart...) with the below compiler errors. My target is SPC56EL60L5. I also noticed that the Wizard is not available anymore (File->New and toolbars). It sometimes compiles again after reboot, or combinaison of clear project/generate/build... I can't get it... The make command in a DOS window returned the error ''libintl3.dll is missing'' so I installed it. Posted on May 23, 2014 at 19:21Can anybody offer any knowledge of using STANDBY mode?  I am putting the chip in STANDBY and it appears to go there, as the processor goes dormant until I cause a wakeup event.  But the current draw on the VDD_LV power-input (2.1v) is ridiculously high (~100ma).   I've confirmed that the power is not going out the ports - those are all ok - it appears to be going to core/peripherals (hence VDD_LV).  Following the spec carefully, with weeks of scrutiny and experimentation.   Can give more details if anybody has experience here... tnx, -mark #powerconsumption-power-standby

I activated the ADC in HAL configuration, defined a adc-conversion-group that consists of channel 0 (ADC1_P[0] on Pin PB4). The ADC does not finish the sample. The ADCD2 state is ADC_ACTIVE and the ADC_MSR.ADCSTATUS is 0x4(Sample). The values in the buffer stay unchanged. Posted on March 31, 2014 at 20:03Hi, it's my first Project with a SPC560D40 an SPC5 Studio. I'm trying to generate PWM-Signals on the Pins RA0 to RA5. When I look in the eMIOs Settings of the SPC560Dxx HAL Driver Component, I can only activate eMIOs group 0 (Channel 9..15) or Group1 (Channels 17..23) but RA0 to RA5 should be Channel 0..5. For these Channels I can only activate ICU drivers. Is this right? Is there an other way to activate PWM on these channels? The provided documentation for SPC5 is very rare. Can I programm it in my own driver? Thanks for help StefanP

I think ST can produce them with low cost of samsung but at the quality of freescale or better. ST have stm32 in cortex M but nothing in A8 GHz range! Is there any problem?

I installed the SPC5Studio and the UDE 4.0 to debug my board and load programs on it. But I have a ''strange'' error following the steps of the document AN4321 �Getting started with the SPC56LDiscovery�. However, in my case it is not possible to view the status of those variables. According to PLS this is due to the fact that no DWARF information is included in the .elf file.However, SPC5 Studio has defined -ggdb in the common options and this should include DWARF version 2. When I input this key into the website: http://register.hightec-rt.com/ I get the message:Please enter your Activation key in the format 1234-5678-1234-5678 !My key however contains both letters and numbers. Not only numbers. Or do any have a license in the reasonable range for a personal license (~$100).

I have installed : 1) SPC5 Studio 1.3 downloaded form st site 2) SPC5-UDESTK (128K limited edition) file ude-4-00-09-spc5-udestk.exe downloaded form http://www.pls-mc.com/spc5-udestk In both instruction (st and pls) I found : ''Run setup.exe and follow in the installing instructions. The SPC5-UDE/STK starterkit version will be installed into the directory C:\SPC5Studio\ude '' But I haven't run.exe and nor st_spc5studio nor pls_ude_... create the C:\SPC5Studio\ude folder. Posted on November 11, 2013 at 04:06Pad configuration information is needed for the SPC56xxMB EVAL board with the SPC 564AADPT324S mini-module. On the SPC564A (324 pin package), almost all of the eTPU2 and eMIOS pins are multiplexed. For example, on the dev board, pin header PJ9 shows a pin labeled ETPUA11. On the SPC564A, etpu channel 11 may be assigned to pad 125 (physical pin number AB4) or pad number 144 (pin L4). There is no way of knowing how the board was routed. These pins are assigned in the SIU at runtime.So far, I have been using the trial and error method, but this is not really acceptable when trying to develop a complicated eTPU routine.Is the pad configuration information available? A copy of siu_init.c would probably be easiest.ThanksKevin
