Posted on November 26, 2014 at 10:49We do develment for SPC56xxx & stm32f4. I found description how to use SPC5Studio for STM32F4+Chibios. This instruction is relatively old (for version 1.x). Is it possible to use SPC5Studio 3.x for STM32 development?

Posted on October 08, 2014 at 15:56Hello, If I am using the command ''asm volatile (''nop'');'', how long should the controller need to execute this command? I ask this question because I have tried to use it as an indicator for the system clock. Currently, I am using the SPC560D discovery board and my clock source is the FMPLL, configured for a clock of 48MHz. The SPC5-UDESTK and UDE Visual Platform shows me an execution time of 208ns for this command. This seems too much for me for a system clock of 48Mhz. Shouldn´t it be around 10ns? To do another test, I used the internal 16Mhz RC as system clock. The strange thing is, that the execution time for this command is exactly the same. Best regards, Patrik

Posted on October 16, 2014 at 12:24Hello, I have some problems understanding and using the UART HAL component.   The test application for the SPC560D sends ''Hello World'' with the chnWriteTimout() function. To send the value 0x55, I wrotechnWriteTimeout(&SD1, (uint8_t *) 0x55, 2, TIME_INFINITE);But this did not work. I doesn´t matter which value I tried to send, I am always receiving a different value. Only when I am sending characters, the received data equals the sended data. What is wrong with my command? My second question is: is it possible to write my own UART driver? The driver from the library is too complex for my application. I just want to periodically send data triggered by a timer interrupt and to work with the UART interrupt if I receive data. When I try to compile sample I get error messages. I mark with bold text error. Under Windows XP all ok. Pin 144 not exist Also image not match to image on  SPC56EL70L5 documentation. Some pins moved from side to side. For sample pin 36. This bug affect me. Posted on October 21, 2014 at 14:05Hello, I am not able to start SPC5 Studio after it crashes during I worked with the pin map wizard. When I start the application, it only shows me that an error log in the .log has been created. Posted on September 30, 2014 at 14:45Hello, I installed SPC5Studio 3.0.0, and UDE 4.02.05. When i build a new project clicking on ''build all'' icon, SPC5Studio doesn't generate out.elf file, so i am not able to debug. I can debug Software examples for SPC56L-Discovery (dowloaded from the site), because they iclude the correct out.elf file, but if i modify a main.c file, then save and build the project, out.elf isn't updated. Posted on September 30, 2014 at 12:53Hi, I purchased a full license for 1-year, used it only for three months and today the error message came up as follow: main.c:1:0: internal compiler error: initialising license system Demo license has expired (-49) (Product: ppc-free-gcc, Version: 2013.01) I checked the license file HT_license.lic its header is as follow: LICENSE hightec-rt ppc-free-gcc 2013.01 19-mar-2015 uncounted I re-install the SPC5Studio 3.0 but the license installation encounter error and installation finished. Please help! My project is already overdue!

Posted on September 23, 2014 at 15:46I am using UDE 4.2.05 with the SPC560B-DIS (which has UDE debug hardware built in) I can load and run code via JTAG but ... How do I access the serial port connection to the target device ??? The target microcontroller UART is connected to the FTDI USB/serial/JTAG device but I do not see a COM port show up on the PC for the target USB/serial connection. Should this show up as a COM port or perhaps in a UDE window ??

Posted on September 09, 2014 at 14:31Hello, Unfortunately, a few moments before I found out that I lost all changes I had manually done within the CAN low level drivers (changins in number of RX message buffers, filters, filter IDs, filter masks, ...). Just everything which I was not able to configure by using the SPC5 Application Configuration. I only wanted to change the compliler optimization level. Is there a way, how I can prevent several files from beeing new generated or cleared when I generate the application configuration? Or what is the best way when I wanted to adapt a project (for example using DSPI) without loosing all changes in the other HAL components? Best regards, Patrik

Posted on September 03, 2014 at 16:46Hello, on SPC56EL60, I'm using an external 16MHz XTAL so I changed the ''XOSC Clock'' value in the configuration (default is 40MHz). I'm getting the error: ''SPC5_FMPLL0_VCO_CLK outside acceptable range (SPC5_FMPLLVCO_MIN...SPC5_FMPLLVCO_MAX)'' To solve this I have to modify SPC5_FMPLL0_IDF_VALUE and SPC5_FMPLL0_NDIV_VALUE value's that are used to calculate SPC5_FMPLL0_VCO_CLK. These defines are code generated and I can't find them in the application config. Can you please explain how the setup the clock peripheral and keep the overide values unchanged while regenerating code? Thank you

As software basis, I used the test application for the SPC56xL discovery board. When I understand the clock configuration in the right way, this project runs with the 16MHz internal RC. I am really new in this buisness. The possibilities of the SPC56 controller familiy are huge but as a beginner their complexity confuses me. My setting is a SPC56xL Discovery Kit and the SPC5 Studio in combination with the High Tec C compiler. What I want to do is normally very simple. One of the LEDs (e.g. LED D5 on Pin A0) should be controlled by the button S2 on Pin G8. Therefore, my idea was to use an interrupt triggered by the button S2. I set up a small project, using the OSAL-HAL component. But I really have no idea how and where i should implement this functionality in my C code. All what I have done so far is configuring an interrupt vector, but I am even not sure if i did this in the correct way. The main questions for me are:
