Hi, I designed a board based on SPBTLE-RF few months ago. It seems that the component has been replaced by the SPBTLE-RFTR recently. https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X00009XkepJSAR/what-is-the-status-of-the-spbtlerf-ble-module-?t=1536147003953Is everything the same between the two chip? (I guess as it's the same datasheet)I checked on Mouser and Farnell, there is some manufacturing delay to get the SPBTLE-RFTR. Any ideas if it will be available soon? The SPBTLE-1S has a different form factor, so I prefer to stick on BLE 4.1 for now...Thanks

Little information regarding PCB placement of module is available on line. Even less is available about functioning in the vicinity of other transmitters at 2.4 GHz. Any help is much appreciated!

Hi dears,I am using the BlueNRG-MS library.I want to update my characteristic before allow the client to read it.However to use BTSi_UpdateChar I need both the char handle and the service handle, and the callback event only provide me with the char handle.I looked well in the library documentation and there were no API to provide such.Thanks in advance

In the BlueNRG-MS, the IFR was stored in flash and I could program it at the same time that I updated the firmware using my programming software. Where is the IFR on the BlueNRG-2 using DTM?The BlueNRG GUI User Manual says that "BlueNRG-2 device firmware uses a hardware configuration table". Is this something special that uses its own protocol? Can I write my own programmer to write the IFR just like I write my own program to program using the Bootloader?

Hi,I am new to BLE techniology and I recently finished a BLE training and just know the basics of BLE.Task:1. Establish a connection over BLE between the BlueNRG-MS (Central Role/GATT-Client) and third-party device (Peripheral Role/GATT-Server).   i. I could establish a connection (Using "aci_gap_start_general_discovery_proc" and "aci_gap_create_connection" ) but when the third-party device is disconnected, the BlueNRG-MS device doesn't know.       Is there any mechanism in BlueNRG-MS to know that the connection is not active anymore? 2. Read and write to GATT characteristics (e.g. temperature, pressure, LEDs etc.).    i. When i read a gatt characteristic using aci_gatt_read_charac_val(), the third-party device receives and processes it. But I do not know whether the BlueNRG-MS device received the response from the read request as no GATT event (Evt_Blue_Gatt_Procedure_Cmplt/Evt_Blue_Att_Read_Resp) is generated on BlueNRG-MS.&

HelloI have a "STEVAL-IDB007V1M" when I connect this to BlueNRG-1 Navigator v3.0.0, it always says "Board not selected or unlugged". However, the PC knows the board as a COM port and I did flash the board via BlueNRG flasher.And the tha other issue is that when I installing the BlueNRG- navigator on my PC the driver USB driver cannot instal on my PC, the windows is 10. What should I do? Please help me.

During the initialization process , the phase 2 data, the IDn and data blocks Dn of incoming sensor data is stored in "init buffer id (init_buf_id)" of the corresponding frame id at address n-1.I need more details on how to make use of the communication frame for init data reading.What does "init_buf_id" and register refer to in the following below image shown. 

Hi,I have a custom design based on the S2-LP eval kit, tested my firmware (based on the ST Sigfox Library) with the eval kit and ST's ID/PAC and all is working fine. Custom hardware is also working fine and now I am in the process of installing the prototype credentials for my custom hardware.I applied for the credentials at sigfox (pre-verified prototypes) and got the id_pac.txt, id_key.bin and key and was trying to follow the procedure as described here: https://build.sigfox.com/steps/development#network-credentials ...but I cannot understand what do I need to do exactly to generate the data that I need to put in the eeprom.That page mentions an AESd tool but I cannot find it anywhere on the sigfox site.Any guidance please? Hi,I'm new to the STM community and I was looking for MCU options that are capable of data logging via USB. So my application is such that I need the MCU to save data in a USB/Thumb drive, preferably in an excel sheet. I have done the same in non-STM MCUs using the 'USB-HOST' protocol. But I havn't been able to find much content about it on the STM website.Please can someone give me advice on the same or tell me which application notes to read for getting a better idea?

However, I would like to trim my schematic and BOM and use the internal microcontroller both for I/O and to drive transceiver. I tried to search for some source-code libraries  or something but ST has just .bin firmware files.Is it possible to do what I am planning to do? In datasheet we can read that SP1ML I7O pins are for future use. In case we can programm it with custom firmware can those pins be used for regular I/O.  Any source code available or instruction to do this?Thanks a lotAlex

Posted on June 29, 2018 at 17:06Hi,I'm using the M24C04 EEPROM with the 5-UFDFPN package.I can read/write to it without problems, but I just found out that the EEPROM acknowledges not only 0x50 and 0x51, but actually acknowledges 0x50 to 0x57. According to the datasheet, the address of the 5-UFDFPN package should be:1 0 1 0 0 0 A8Where A8 is the page number. For the other packages, it's:1 0 1 0 E2 E1 A8Where E2 and E1 are pins on the IC. The datasheet says that E1 and E2 are read as 0 in the DFN5 package. But from what I see, it seems that the chip accepts any value of E1 and E2, thus acknowledging 0x50 to 0x57.I tested that it is indeed this IC that causes the 'fake acknowledgements' because the I2C lines of that EEPROM are on a multiplexer, and when the mux disconnects the EEPROM from the uC, I don't get the acknowledgements anymore.Have you seen this problem before?Thank you,Fred

So, After a couple days working. BlueNRG-MS do not answer on "scan request". All other functions work, i can connect/disconnect, write/read gatt properties... I work with Aci_Gap_Set_Discoverable. I found only one case for resolving. It is reboot. It is bad solution.

If I changed the definition LS_SOURCE=LS_SOURCE_INTERNAL_RO, the procedure DeviceConfiguration() stopped in line "while(CKGEN_BLE->CLK32K_IT == 0);"It seems that the internal generator 32 kHz does not work.How I can to turn on generator 32 kHz.
