Posted on February 04, 2014 at 08:30How does one configure the data ready interrupt on the H3LIS331DL accelerometer? I've configured other accelerometers like LIS3DSH with success but I am stuck on this one.I've tried both latched and pulsed interrupts, I've configured the signal on both INT1 and INT2 to the Data Ready on the configuration register but it doesn't seem to do anything. Posted on December 09, 2016 at 21:27  I tried to use LSM6DS3's Accelerometer X/Y/Z-axis user offset correction registers(X_OFS_USR: 0x73, Y_OFS_USR: 0x74, Z_OFS_USR: 0x75) to hardware compensate its accelerometer measures to save my host CPU loading, but I found they will stay at zeros after writing with any non-zero values(-127 ~ 127 as specified at page 88-89 in your specification of DocID028475 Rev 4, June 2016)?  Have someones used LSM6DS3's built-in hardware offset registers and  solved the above problems?  On the other side, MAG_OFF X/Y/Z can be written after enabling access to Embedded Function Register (FUNC_CFG_ACCESS), but it randomly changes, e.g. changing between 180 and 206 deg while the module is statically pointed to 180 deg.  If I zero MAG_OFF X/Y/Z registers and manually apply offset compensation(mag measure - bias), then the compensated direction is correct and fixed at 180 deg without

Posted on December 11, 2016 at 07:25I have connected LPS22HB development kit (STEVAL-MET001V1) and Raspberry Pi 3 with I2C interface and tried to read pressure and temperature data but whatever setting I tried, pressure (0x28, 0x29, 0x2A) and temperature (0x2B, 0x2C) always gives me 0xff. I tried one shot (CTRL-REG1 0x00, CTRL-REG2 0x11) and also continuous (CTRL-REG1 0x12, CTRL-REG2 0x10) but these didn't make any difference, and I can read WHO AM I register and all other registers but pressure and temperature output always 0xff, 0xff, 0xff,0xff, 0xff (with single byte read or dump). I am sure I did something wrong but can't figure this out. Has anyone experienced something like this? Register 0x27 shows 0x03 but I still can't read data out (0xff).. Please see the attached screenshot for dump data.I hope someone could help me to make this chip work..Regards.

Both pins are routed/connected to our uP and we need to have these two features enabled and working at the same time.Thanks in advance

Posted on November 02, 2016 at 07:41What is the actual data (x,y,z) length. When I'm reading the acceleration data , the lowest 4 bitsare 0. This would indicate the data is actually 12bit , left justified. The datasheet however say's the FIFO is 10bit.Does this mean that the actual usable data is 10bit? CheersNeddie

Posted on January 12, 2016 at 15:18Hello, I need help with regard to extending the 4 microphone architecture of X-CUBE-MEMSMIC to 6 microphones using X-NUCLEO-CCA02M1 and STEVAL-MKI155V3. I have attached the modified BSP driver .c and .h files. Also in audio_application.h I have changed the no. of microphones to 6. I have tried to configure SPI3 for microphones M5 and M6. I see that slave select for both SPI1 and SPI3 are the same and since the slave select is not being used in this case, I know this shouldnt be a problem. Can you please let me know which all part of the code should I look into to get it working for 6 microphones. I have also tried to increase the PDM buffer but have not been successful. I see that PDM data is available on scope on all the 4 microphones but due to changes from my part of the code the data is not being recorded. Apart from the x_nucleo_cca02m1_audio_f4 BSP driver which part I should look into to ext

Posted on October 03, 2016 at 18:31Good morning, I'm having a heck of a time trying to get my configuration settings correct on my LIS2DH12 Accelerometer.I would like it to fire the interrupt when an abrupt movement occurs on any or all axes.I have some settings (below) that I'm trying, but it seems too sensitive and sometimes fires the interrupt when it's just sitting there not moving at all.  Seems like there are too many interrelated settings on this, but that's the nature of the beast.  Has anybody got some settings that work well to detect movement on any/all axes ?  The way I understand it is that Threshold is the amount of movement and Duration is the time frame in which that movement occurs.  So a short time frame and a large threshold should indicate an abrupt movement?Any assistance on this would be GREATLY appreciatedAnyway, here are the settings I'm currently using:

For the x and y axis this works beautifully: When I rotate the board by 90� I see the peak in the data and flattening out again. This seems not to work with the Z-Axis. I always get about 1g when I leave it lying on my desk z-axis towards earth... I don't see any possibility to configure the axes that are used for high pass filtering... Posted on November 25, 2016 at 23:43I wish to filter incoming FIFO data by a threshold value as set in INT1_THS, however the WTM flag is set regardless of the magnitude. Are these two functions not compatible? If not, I need to know how to link the threshold setting to the FIFO data.

This string must be: buffer[1] &= ~HTS221_HEATHER_MASK;

Posted on November 20, 2016 at 10:26Good morning,I'm developing an application on a STM32L4 discovery board which reads data from the lsm303c and logs those datas on the usb via an otg cable.The issue is that after few seconds the accelerometer stops to send correct data giving the following values: 0 on x, 0 on y and 443 on z.Also the data ready interrupt, which I'm reading for test purposes, seems to start to happen randomly.In the following I attach my project so you can analyze the initialization.Could someone giving a hint on how to properly set up the sensor so it doesn't stop to respond after a brief time???Thanks a lot #discovery #stm32l4 #lsm303c

Posted on October 05, 2016 at 10:46I want to use my STM32F429 Discovery's on board L3GD20 to measure an angle from the horizontal, so I only need one axis. I am able to read the acceleration data but I am unsure about a few things: 1. What do I do with the sensitivity factor? I have it set to 500dps. 2. The datasheet says the value is given in 2's compliment, so do I have to reverse 2's compliment it to get sensible data? My high byte is always FF or FE? 3. How do I get an angle from the acceleration data? I've seen people say you need to  add all the angles together measured in a specific time, a discrete approximation to integration over time?
