Posted on August 09, 2013 at 23:45I have purchased the STEVAL-MKIO62v2 evaluation kit and I am looking for the source code so I can rebuild the firmware for this board.  Essentially I need the source code for the RTOS that goes on the MCU as well as the code to access all of the on board sensors (MEMS, TEMP, PRESSURE sensors). #inemo-stm32-stm32f10xxx-firmware

Posted on November 02, 2013 at 05:06The LSM9DS0 datasheet only appears to mention the accuracy of the accelerometer!?!? So the gyro and magnetometer have no accuracy specification?  Please explain!!

Posted on November 12, 2013 at 08:34Dear Team.I need to read temperature data from LSM303DLHC for temperature compensation of the accelerometer data.I use the STM32F3Dicsovery board and the ''stm32f3_discovery_lsm303dlhc.c''  library. I can read the interested data only in debug mode, during normal mode operation of the controller I always take '0'. All other data is read correctly. By the way,the type of TEMP_OUT_H_M and TEMP_OUT_L_M registers, unlike other, is not specified in the datasheet. In what may be the problem?

Posted on October 14, 2013 at 15:04I have the STEVAL-MKI109V2 with the MKI135V1 accelerometer module.  I've installed the Unico eval software v3.0.0.0.  The COM port matches.  There are no errors.  I'm on Win7/64.There is no data.What am I missing?Thanks! #unico

The problem is that the ODR can not greater than 160Hz,otherwise after a period of time of dataoutput,the RDY goes low,and the value of STATUS_REG is changed to 0x77(why??). Posted on October 12, 2013 at 08:30hi,guysI'm working on LSM9DS0 with STMEVAL-MKI109V2,using 4-wire SPI communication?read gyro's WAI reg is ok if keep CS_G=0 and CS_XM = 1 after EVAL board power on, but if CS_G=0 after CS_G=1 and CS_XM = 1,read WAI reg, MCU can't get any response(SDO=0xFF always),can anyone explain me why? I would be grateful if anyone could post LSM9DS0 SPI communication code.thanks. #lsm9ds0-4-wire-spi

Posted on November 13, 2013 at 00:38If I measure the zero rate level for a few seconds, I can get an average measurement and use it to cancel out drift. However, the zero rate level changes over time. I want to choose a gyro with the smallest drift. How is change in zero rate level specified in the data sheet? I can't find it.Thanks,Osman

Posted on November 05, 2013 at 10:01Hi, So time to get right to it, I am using 2 LIS3DH Accelerometers ( Two Different Addresses Assigned to them), they are both using the same I2C lines and the same INT line on my microcontroller. That is the way it was designed and now have to make them both work ( NOT at the same time). The problem that I see now is that when I put one accelerometer in Power Down Mode, and configure the remaining device, after the first interrupt sequence all communications seems to die down. The INT line remains low ( configured for active low ) and thats it dead. What I have noticed is that if I remove the INT1 connection from anyone of the devices and address the other, it works perfectly. Just never when they are completely plugged in. Any particular help on the problem is appreciated.

Posted on November 14, 2013 at 08:34Hi, The accelerometer was generating the interrupt when the value of CTRL REG 3 was  set to 0x80. But AS CHANGED TO 0x84 to check the latch interrupt request there is no more interruppt generation. Can anyone provide help on this

Posted on November 13, 2013 at 18:10Hello, I need to configure a LSM330DLC in a way outlined in the DT0005 document.  Essentially, on data ready interrupts (INT1_A) from the accelerometer feed into the DEN_G pin, telling the gyro to push a conversion onto the gyro FIFO.  In this way, acceleration and gyro data are aligned (I think). In addition, I want to have a FIFO watermark interrupt as well as an interrupt to wake my board up upon movement. I believe I need to setup three interrupts sources: 1) INT1_A to be I1_DRDY1 (or is it I1_DRDY2?)  Which one does what? 2) INT2_A to fire upon a motion detection event.  I believe I see how to do this with INT1_A, but I need it to happen on INT2_A. 3) A FIFO watermark interrupt to fire from the gyro side (INT2_G).  This one I have figured out, but need INT1_A/DEN_G working before I can fully test it.

Posted on November 05, 2013 at 18:21Okay - I've got data flowing from the L3GD20 into the microcontroller using the DRDY/INT2 signal.  As I examine the readings that I am receiving from the sensor chip, though, it appears that I receive ''bogus'' values. The chip is mounted on a development board, so it isn't moving at all.  I would expect to see an unending series of near-zero readings.  Several times each second, I get back large positive or negative values (like -4865), which make no sense to me at all.  I understand that the readings are in twos complement format. I'm confident that my SPI setup is correct, since (1) the chip is being properly identified during startup and (2) my settings match what the datasheet calls for.  I'm also able to see the entire SPI ''conversation'' on my oscilloscope, so I can see that the chip is driving the SDO line in a way that allows the bits to be sampled on t

Posted on October 21, 2013 at 14:34Hello.  I want to process each set of readings from the L3GD20 as they become available.  The DRDY signal seems the most appropriate way to do this.  I've verified with an STMicro engineer that my register settings are correct (simply use the DRDY signal in its normal mode), but I can't see the DRDY signal transitioning from high to low.  It stays high all the time.  I'm using an HP mixed signal 'scope and I'm watching all the other signals (SPI/chip selects, etc) with no problem.  I can get DRDY to transition to low when I turn the FIFO on and configure the DRDY signal to indicate when the FIFO fills beyond the watermark (which I set to 1), but DRDY is supposed to work without the FIFO. Has anybody seen this behavior?

The software recognizes the board as Device LSM303DLH, firmware M303DLH 0.5, Software version 1.0.16. Nevertheless, there is an error ''Not Supported Board, Please, Contact STM for SW Update''.  How can I contact STM for this software update?

Posted on October 03, 2013 at 01:43HelloAt the LIS3DH Datasheet is stated that there are internal Pull-Ups at all SPI pins of the LIS3DH. How much is the approximate value of the pull-up resistors? According to my experience, with the CS tied high, the SDO pin does really have a pull-up capacitor, but not SPC. Is the datasheet correct? I noticed that at the new LIS2DH, the pull-up is present just at the SDO.Regads

Posted on October 04, 2013 at 11:52Hi, I have a 109V2 and the 10-axis module 124V1. I want to customize the FW for logging, but there is a problem at the step 4: 1. Use Dfuse Demo to download the DFU patch and eMotion FW without any problems, all look good, I can use Unico to see/log all necessary data. DFU_Patcher_V1.0.2.dfu eMotionV2_REL_3_0.dfu 2. Compile the eMotion source code (eMotionV2_REL_3_0) by the IAR for ARM 6.60 (using the 30 days evaluation version). All are okay. The file eMotion.hex is generated inside the folder EMOTION_FLASH. 3. Convert the .hex file to .dfu by DFU file manager V3.0.1. No problem. 4. Use Dfuse Demo to download the .dfu file to the MIK109V2. The process is failed at the final state. The error message is: ''Target 00: Verify successful, but data not matching...'' Can you advise how to resolve this problem? Thanks, Taddy.

Posted on September 27, 2013 at 08:59I'm preparing a new design with LSM9DS0. I want to use the SPI interface, but the datasheet does not solve my curiosity. (The datasheet which I refered is DM00087365.pdf - August 2013, DocID024763 Rev 2) According to the document, Table 2. Pin description demonstrates the pin assignment.
