Power management

Hi,I´m designing a negative topology triac control circuit , so i need a non isolated buck-boost topology as shown in the figure 39 of the Viper 11 datasheet.The problem comes when i hadnt been able to find any documents regarding how to do it in the stm documentation, there is the e Design suite for a typical Buck converter but if my memories of power electronics are right the Inductances , capacitor values and everything are completely different.So, there is any guideline o document regarding how to do it?

Hi ,We were testing STPM33 module spi communication via an optocoupler. When optocoupler is bypassed , we are able to read data from STPM33 properly.But when optocoupler is placed, data read contains CRC errors.We tried LTV847 and 6n137 optocouplers. It looks like problem is with SPI clock line.When this line alone is bypassed , no crc error is getting. Whether any SPI CLK parameters are there for this STPM32/33/34 like maximum recommended rise time /fall time?What is the recommended optocoupler IC for this?Please help asap.Posting this in this topic beacuse STPM32/33/34 topic not found

Posted on July 13, 2018 at 09:59I ordered a Triac with type number T1635T-8T for temperature controlling on a hot glue application. This was not the same comparing to the fried one I already have on the application with type number T1635T-8I. The difference I found when comparing was: Rate of decrease of commutating on-state current. Can someone please tell me if I still can use the T1635T-8T?

Posted on July 11, 2018 at 14:49Hi All,I have a 500W PS build around the L6699D and everything is working good.Now I found 1 little thing:If I run the unit in No Load the output is 24Vdc if I take the input voltage (AC) away the output drops a little.Now if I switch the unit back on the output voltage flies up and clamps to the OVP (30Vdc) and it is unable to regulate the voltage down despite that the signals are there.Now my question is, is this someting I can control or is this a problem in the L6699D?Hope someone can help me.Thanks,Patrick#l6699d-no-load

Posted on June 05, 2018 at 07:26I have adquired the following boards:Qi-based wireless power receiver optimized for wearable applications up to 2.5 W using STWLC33(STEVAL-ISB043V1)and also the Qi MP-A10 15 W wireless charger TX evaluation kit based on STWBC-EP(STEVAL-ISB044V1)I have been testing them together with the default configuration. They allow a maximum separation of 5 mm. The microcontroller that drives the motors does not have many pins so I would like to save someone by connecting all the EN / FAULT signals in parallel but I'm not sure if this connection is correct. Can someone help me?Clearly, connecting them all in parallel, in case of fault I would have only the overall information that one of the engines had a problem but for this project it is sufficientThanks

Posted on June 28, 2018 at 16:31I'm trying to get the battery detection feature to work on this board. The spec sheets and user manuals are somewhat lacking on this information. I've played around with the board a bit, but to no avail. Here's the connections that the user manual tells me to make. I'm not really sure what to make of the blue rectangle. I thought it might be telling me to connect a 10kohm resistor between the RID pin and the negative battery terminal. With or without this resistor, the battery detection register tells me there is no battery connected even when it is. I would really appreciate any help with this!##steval-isb033v1 ##stbcfg01

Posted on June 27, 2018 at 12:26Hi,I've almost completed the design of a 150W 35-60V Input and +15 / -15V Output DC-DC LLC resonant converter using L6599. On the secondary side I have a center tapped winding configured across a full bridge to deliver +15V and -15V, with the center tap as my floating GND. The rectifier diodes are consuming considerable power, rather hot. I have clearly tried schottkys but still rather hot. I could try FERD rectifiers, which will bring power dissipation down to just a couple of watts. However this is a battery powered application so power efficiency is important.I would like to try using the SRK2000A with MOSFETs, however I don't see any applications where the controller is used with a bi-polar output.Is it possible to configure the SRK2000A to full bridge rectify and produce +15V and -15V from a center tapped secondary?#dc-dc #synchronous-rectification #srk2000a #bipolar-output

Posted on June 26, 2018 at 08:28I have been evaluating ACST1235 for AC switching and need help to find the optimal driver for connecting it to a micro-controller (3.3V) with galvanic isolation.I have tested ACST1235 with MOC3023 and FOD4208 optocouplers for triggering triac gate and found that the triac false triggers when there is much noise the AC line. Although FOD4208 seems to have better immunity compared to MOC3023 in most cases. I did not use a snubber since ACST1235 has very good immunity towards dv/dt.Can someone please help me to find the correct circuit for using ACST1235 with a 3.3V micro-controller ?#acst #opto-isolator #spurious-triggering

In the package it is included with the board a 1K? resistor that I have no idea what it is for. Posted on June 21, 2018 at 18:39Hello,I have a problem with a full bridge circuit that drives a high frequency transformer.The application concerns an induction heating system that can work in the frequency range from 100 to 500kHz, with an input voltage of 320VDC and a current of 10A.The four transistors, Infineon IPW60R190P6, are driven by 2 Gate Drivers, ST L6491, with a voltage of 12V.When the transistors switch, oscillations occur in the supply voltage HV_DC, which affects all the other signals.Already at low input voltage there are peaks on the supply voltage and on the gate signals.In the attached image I reported the gate signal of the transistor T1 and the signal measured on the power supply (equal to HV_DC = 15V).In this case oscillations occur at 12.5MHz with a Vpkpk signal on the power supply equal to 9Vpkpk (the signal at the bottom of the screen), while on the gate signal there is a 3V peak after the rising edge and a peak at + 3V and -2V after the falling edge (the sign
