V SWITCH_MIN (VLXx)is measured below the the absolute maximum rating on datasheet (-0.5V).However this limit is momentary ony (7.2 ns) as shown on the measurement.Usually datasheet specifies the minimum DC limit and minimum limit during transient value.Minimum limit during transient is not mentioned in datasheet.Could you assist in evaluating if the transient votlage of -1.40V on VLXx for ~7.2 ns is acceptable.Current situation:V SWITCH_MIN does not remain <-0.5V for longer than 10ns. (-1.4V for 4.2ns)Evaluate if this situation is acceptable.VLxx is -1.4V for about 7.

Hello,I am looking at the STEVAL-ISB027V1 dev board. I see that it is obsolete. That is fine, I am more interested in understanding if this design could be implemented on 6x independent channels of Tx coils. I want to be able to independently control 6x copies of this circuit but use a single micro. What would you recommend for an application like this?

Hello, I am strongly considering using the STEVAL-A6986IV3 based design for a 4 channel isolated gate driver power supply.  One thing that looked strange in the the schematic was the four ground capacitors Cgnd1,2,3,4 which are 4.7nF 2000V rated. These connect the ground on each isolated channel to the ground on the input supply voltage. Can someone explain the purpose of these? It seems counter intuitive that we would want to capacitively couple the grounds together on a isolated supply.  Regards, Jason  

HiI have a question about the conection of VIPER06 module as auxiliary power supply.  I Have a power stage PFC with L6562  and two capacitor in series as outuput capacitor. Then, i need a 15V aux power supply. Can i connect the VIPER06 Flyback stage, from the middle point of output capacitors of the PFC?Looks like this... 

Dear Community,I’m currently testing the L6982C33DR and L6982C50DR to supply 3.3V and 5V to my board.I followed the reference design provided in the user manual and completed the PCB layout accordingly.However, when I power the board with 12V (Power+), both the 3.3V and 5V outputs are only showing 2.5V.I’ve attached my design files for reference. Could anyone help me identify what might be going wrong?Thanks in advance for your support!

i have a design using the L6235 motor controller. when the motor is running at 4800 I applied the brake and disabled the enable pin of the IC, all worked fine, But i was getting the motor overrun because of the inertia of the gears.I tried to applied the brake with the enable pin high of the IC, but when i did this the IC blow. Is this because of my BEMF?I believe the L6235 BRAKE pin can be used to quickly stop the motor while it is running: providing a low logic level to this pin all the high-side DMOS switch on, making a short-circuit across the motor windings. tried and it blow ICWhile the motor is braking, both Thermal and Over Current protections still work? avoiding BEMF to cause a current exceeding the device's maximum ratings?how can I change my design to avoid this?regardsRoss

I apply three phases at 115vac, 400hz.I apply a 10A load. I turn on the Opto-Triac (VOT8121AB), and current runs thru the Triac under test(TUT) (T1610T-8i) and ac voltage appears at the output (ex; see CSSI_R_PhaA_Out, loc=A5, of Attached schematic “8440-211-00-A.a3-pg9-SCH”)I turn off the Opto-Triac, and the Output voltage and current both fall to approx. zero.I turn on the Opto-Triac, and the Output voltage and current rise to 115vac, @10A. I monitor a current probe near the case of the TUT; At 40c, I can turn on and off the Opto-Triac, and the TUT turns on and off.With the TUT on, I watch the temp rise. When it reaches 60C, The TUT does not turn off using the opto-Triac. When I drop AC into the TUT, for 100-200ms, the TUT turns off. TUT does turn on using the opto-Triac.When the temperature near the TUT is allowed drop from 60 to 50c, the Opto-Triac turns the TUT on and off.

Hello everyone,I got the above mentioned Eval boards with the following adaptions to suit my application:- Tx coil connected to STEVAL-WBC86TX: WE 760308101104 - Rx coil  connected to STEVAL-WLC38RX: Custom PCB antenna with ~1.5 µH self-inductance, ~ 9 x 9 mm^2 size- Rx Ctank: 1.57 µF --> leads to a resonance frequency of ~102 kHz for the receiver circuit When I place the receiver coil in 2 mm distance to the transmit coil, I can see the ping by a repeating short light-up of D7 on the STEVAL-WLC38RX board. However, there is no power transfer and STSW-WPSTUDIO connected to the transmitter indicates a signal strength timeout as EPT reason. Here is my TX configuration:

Hello, Good Morning Can i design SMPS using HVLED007 which should work on universal input and should provide 24v 2amp at its output it is PFC too. The most challenging part is to calculate and wind flyback transformer. I've some transformer bobbins and cores with me but dont have complete data i have calculated data manually like MPL,AE etc. but still some data is unknown like core material. Is there any SMPS application note for this.

Hello We are currently working on programming the STPMIC25APQR Power Management IC and are facing some issues related to the LDOs.As per the datasheet, there are no NVM control registers for LDO1 and LDO4, with their default output voltages specified as 1.8V for LDO1 and 3.3V for LDO4. While testing we  observed that LDO4 gives the default voltage i.e 3.3V as the output,but LDO1 is gives 0V instead of the default 1.8V as output. We have to program LDO1 manually each time to achieve the desired output voltage.We have tested three different PMIC chips, and the issue persists across all of them. Could you please assist us in identifying the cause of this issue and provide guidance on how to resolve it? Thanks & RegardsAkshitha Pattem   

Hi team, I have a question about L9396 VBST and VB voltage. The normal operation voltage rage of VBST and VB pin is (-0.1V,19V), and the absolute maxmum ratings of VBST and VB pin is  (-0.3V,40V). So, in case that the voltage is (19V, 40V), what will L9396 behave? If there is any error flag?   Thanks, Paul

Hi    I'm using the part STNS01 with a Li-Polymer batter of 6mAh (nominal capacity).. I've used a 13KΩ resistor for to set current charge limit which provides 15mA as the output for the CCCV charging.   Would there be any issue with using a 6mA battery with the STNS01 set to 15mA (this is the lowest setting)?   I was assuming the battery would only source the current it was capable of using.   Thanks in advance for any assistance. 

I intend to design a microcontroller circuit with a BTA40-600B RD91 to control the power delivered to a heating resistor (220Vrms, 12Ω, 4KW). I thought about using the MOC3023 to mediate the activation of the BTA40, but I don't know if it is the most suitable optocoupler. Another question is about the snubber circuit. The load is purely resistive, so is a snubber circuit really necessary? Thanks for the help.

Hi,We are developing a product using the WLC38 as RX.It works OK in combination with wbc2tx50 board, and a single Spigen QI charger we found (no overheating, constant power > 10W achievable).However using any other charging pads (either Qi1 15W or Qi2..) either doesn't communicate to the EPP mode (stays in BPP) or is working for ~10 seconds, but after that shuts down (seems like they try to communicate higher OP frequency, which causes wlc38 to overheat, or trigger some other protection...)Question:Can anybody recommend any changes in configuration of WLC38 to support more charging pads? Allow EPP mode, and allow continous operation?Are there any known and available chargers that are tested, and work ok with WLC38 in EPP up to 15W?Looking through the forum @willzhou is there a pin compatbile replacement or another chip that enables QI2.0 MPP or some other way

I am working on L99DZ100G IC. I am able to communicate with L99DZ100G correctly. But when I check Out1 to Out6 , I am getting 12V by default. If I make on and off CR4.B.OUT1_HS and CR4.B.OUT1_LS respectively it is working correctly. If I make off CR4.B.OUT1_HS and CR4.B.OUT1_LS I am getting 12V across OUT1. My expectations were by default, in off state OUT1 to OUT6 remains low. Could you please support me in this case?

Hello. I'm using L9369 IC and have a problem.   Stage A is not working.   i made control code for Stage A,B. (they are very similar)   i used below two command for H-brdige operation.   but. current was not flow.   here is phenomenon. 1.Low side GL1,2 is not working, 2. GH1,2 turn on/ off at same time. 3. IERR (bit 30) is set to '1'. 4.I read register 120d, there was no Over current detection flag.  

We are designing PFC converter using L6562A controller for 340Vac-440Vac to 665Vdc with 250W as output power.We are facing problems of very low Power factor at lighter loads.What might be the possible reasons for this and how can we tackel this? Regards,Dilip Ramgir
