 Hi Team,I am currently working on a 48V HALL sensored based BLDC motor control system (three-phase) using the STM32F405RGT6, DRV8300, and STP100N10F7 MOSFETs. The motor is running using six-step commutation PWM.Although the motor is rotating, I am experiencing significant noise during operation. I have tested PWM frequencies ranging from 12 kHz to 20 kHz and am currently using a dead time of 1.25 µs.Under no-load conditions, the phase outputs (U, V, and W) appear correct. However, when the motor is connected, the waveforms on all three phases become distorted and are not as expected.I have attached the output video and image for reference. Could you please suggest possible solutions to reduce the noise and improve the waveform quality? Hi tech supoort reps, According to the documentation for the NUCLEO-563ZI (MB1404C), the board is expected to support I3C mode. However, during our evaluation, we were unable to successfully issue I3C shell and CCC (Common Command Code) commands.At this stage, it is unclear which configuration or setting does not meet the expected requirements. Dear ST colleagues,I tried recently the package X-CUBE-NFC12.First I tested on NUCLEO-L476RG board the delivered example and it was working out of the box, then I tried on NUCLEO-C071RB but it was not working, first I noticed that the Pins configuration are not correct it was fixed, but still not working, did anyone ever test this example, because I assume it needs to work without any modification.Thank you in advance for your support.Best regardsBassem Taamallah

SDMMC HAL driver implementation is full of timeouts like this:uint32_t count = SDMMC_CMDTIMEOUT * (SystemCoreClock / 8U / 1000U); do { if (count-- == 0U) { return SDMMC_ERROR_TIMEOUT; } sta_reg = SDMMCx->STA; } while (SOME_FLAG_NOT_SET);It may work in a single-threaded application on some basic CPU which runs fixed clocks per cycle, but it's not accurate on CPUs with dual-issue pipeline. All preempting interrupts and in case RTOS is used, all higher priority tasks, prolong this timeout. And vice versa - the longer this timeout gets the more it blocks lower priority tasks and interrupts. And the timeout isn't even in microseconds to justify it. SDMMC_CMDTIMEOUT value is 5000 milliseconds (by the comment). It's bad implementation by any standard.It's been so for a long time in many STM32 series (F4, H7, H7RS, N6, etc.). It's reported at least 6 years ago: 

I am developing an spc582bxx microcontroller using AutoDevKit Studio.The device needs to wake up from sleep (standby 0) via wkpu, and RAM data must be preserved when not in por mode.Therefore, I set the MC_PCU.PCONF2.B.STBY0 register before entering sleep.However, looking at the generated boot code, it appears to clear all RAM areas during booting.Is there a boot code sample that preserves RAM data during wake-up via wkpu?I look forward to your reply.Thank you.

Regarding the Schottky diode 1N5711, could you please tell me what the reverse resistance value of this diode is? Our factory's designer believes that the reverse resistance value of this diode can be greater than 200 megohms. Could you please confirm if there is a product of this model with a reverse resistance value greater than 200 megohms? Also, under what conditions is this reverse resistance value tested and is there a testing specification? Please give us some suggestions. Thank you!

This replaces the all-in-one STM32CubeCLT package. ...Now that STM32CubeCLT is no longer required by the VSCode integration, what is the future of STM32CubeCLT?  In particular, will it continue to be updated and supported?

Hey, I am using MotionFx 9D, and it works pretty well, except in one case:  when a fast movement is done, and we stop, the IMU is not in the correct orientation due to the update being disabled just before the end of the movement (like a 10-30° error). As I read on that forum, this is intended behavior; however, in our application, it is a pretty useless bug rather than a feature. We tried many thresholds, trusts, various sampling times, etc. No luck. Please provide any information on how we can control updates to achieve almost no movement. That looks like hidden settings, and we are so desperate to even inject a 'noisy' input as input data to trigger updating at the end of movement (as we have noticed that small vibrations are causing orientation to be corrected with every single small movement).Thanks! 

I am trying to debug a project I have created in STM32CubeMX and edited in STM32CubeIDE with the STM32MP257F-DK. I am seeing an intermittent error which is mentioned in the troubleshooting grid, but it's not clear to me how to fix it.  After it builds with no errors, I get a familiar message:Error in final launch sequence:Failed pre launchFailed pre launchFirmware remoteproc load failed, please:1. make sure that /lib/firmware on your target has space2. make sure that /lib/firmware has write access> you can open a Console View for this..When I check dmesg on the board

Hi, I am designing a 25W power supply for the raspberry pi 5 for my battery powered project. The buck regulator I am using has a fixed 5V output and I want to use the STUSB4710 to offer 5V 5A to the Pi. How can I program the registers to do so via I2C? I have checked the datasheets as well as the STUSB47XX register maps but both are still quite vague on how to program.

Hi @STackPointer64 , I wanted to note one issue related to the 'Save As' feature. After I enter the project name (I2C_new_project_name) and the project repository (/home/gil/.../I2C_new_project_name) I click the Save button. I open the newly created ioc2 file with a text editor and I notice that the source code path is the one of the old project: "CMake": {"outputPath": "I2C_old_project_name_cmake","toolchain": "GCC","exportSource": "include-packs-from-local","removeBoard": true} I was expecting to see the source code path of the new project. Sure enough if I generate the project with this ioc2 file it will write to the I2C_old_project_name_cmake directory.  I edited the ioc2 file  to change the source code path to the new path to fix this issue.   Regards, Gil Original post:

I purchased a STM32H745I-DISCO. The board appears to work fine. I am trying to flash the stock firmware onto the board. I downloaded the binary from the ST product page, followed the instructions, set the correct option bytes, used the external loader. The binary file on the product page "STM32Cube_Demo-STM32H745I-DISCO-V1.0.0_FULL.hex" does not bring the board back to factory settings. The touchscreen does not work. The stock demo wont run. Does anyone have have a more up to date binary file or procedure for factory reset? Thanks 

Hello,I am using the STUSB4710 as a PD-Source in my project and have a few questions regarding its configuration. In my setup, I have not utilized the feedback configuration. Instead, I am connecting the PDO outputs of the STUSB4710 to a microcontroller. The microcontroller reads the status and subsequently adjusts the output of my buck-boost converter accordingly.However, I am facing an issue where no negotiation occurs, and the output remains fixed at 5V. I would like to know if the STUSB4710 is capable of operating in such a configuration. Specifically, is it possible to achieve successful power delivery negotiations without using the feedback mechanism?Thank you for your support!

Hello,I am working on a design incorporating the STM32U3C5CIU6Q in SMPS mode. This package includes two VDD11 pins. I am having trouble interpreting the datasheet when it comes to the number of inductors I will need. This note under Figure 24 in the datasheet is clear that each pin will need a capacitor to VSSSMPS, but it seems like it could also imply that each VDD11 pin requires its own inductor between VLXSMPS.The power supply scheme (with SMPS) is also not clear to me:

Hello everyone,I am currently working with the STM32N6570-DK board, and I'm still in the process of understanding the workflow for the STM32 programming environment (STM32CubeIDE/CubeMX). (I have implemented simple code to turn on the led with a button and using the RNG available in the board, as a get to know the board and programming environment before this).I am trying to include the CMSIS-DSP library (arm_math.h) into my project, but I am stuck. I have tried several approaches without success:I tried following the method shown in this tutorial video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QxqnBByUvKE), but it didn't work for my setup.I tried manually copying and pasting the .h and source files directly into my project folders, but that also failed and resulted in compilation errors. Greetings,I am working on testing a STM32H573 based HW design, which uses an external 4-port USB-2.0 Hub.I plan on using USB Flash drives, and read/write files to them as a diagnostic test.I will instantiate the STM32H573 USB interface as Host-mode, and have it discoverthe USB hub, and enumerate the downstream devices (flash drives/sticks).Our current SW base is using the FreeRTOS OS.Should I switch to Azure ThreadX? Hello,On a STM32H7RS are using the USB_OTG_HS peripheral in PCD_SPEED_FULL mode using internal clock.After I was able to configure the clock so that the MCU is responding on enumeration requests. Cross selector displays operation frequency of STM32H743II as 400MHz, but it should be 480MHz. I've refreshed all data and databases but the result is the same. Is there a known solution for this issue? 

Greetings,We're developing our product on our MYIR MYC-LD25X SoM based on the STM32MP257DAK3 MPU with 8GB eMMC non-volatile storage.As per our design requirements, I am required to enforce the STM32 MCU Equivalent of CRP Level 1 or 2 on our Non-Volatile storage so that once we have flashed the eMMC with our program, It's content could only be read/written by the program flashed onto the eMMC & not by JTAG, SWD, etc methods.Using an eMMC chip that provides these protection might be an option but is it atleast possible to enforce write protection using the MPU itself? For example the MPU could have a small program running which could then verify if the contents of the eMMC were tampered with?Regards,Aditya M.

I have project consisting of FSBL+Application (writing AI code in application), I want to debug application code, but unable to do it . My core doubt is should I go via FSBL debugging or Application debugging while working with real time detection in AI ? I am very much confused in this application debugging, kindly address it.I have ensured the external memory loader in cube Programmer as well as in debugger settings is same & loaded .I had flashed the binaries in cube programmer FSBL-trusted bin at 0x70000000 and application trusted-bin at 0x70100000 and signed them also. I have attached a word document having screenshots of debugger settings and problems coming in debugging for each directly application and via FSBL. & one screenshot of external memory settings in .ioc file.Thanks & RegardsChanchal

Hello,I am using STM32U5G-DK1 Discovery kit and need to store a large amount of data in on-board OSPI flash. Now, the example code by STM32 for this kit uses this OPSI flash in Memory-mapped mode. This mode is good to store an small amount of data but time-consuming when writing a large data to this Flash. Therefore, I need to use this Flash in Indirect mode where I can write to flash Page by Page. Hello, i am using F446 and i am contemplating using FreeRTOS CMSIS V2 software timer to generate PWM to control motors via motor drivers (IC  chipset). Is this possible? Or must I use the hardware timer, TIM1~7 ?
