Hello, I am designing a circuit using VNH5019A-E motor driver.Is there a problem if the capacitor is installed on the motor output pins OUTA and B? The value is about 10uF. For example, the charging and discharging of the capacitor leads to situations where low speeds such as PWM 10% and 20% cannot be controlled. Is it possible to not use capacitors for the output? If possible, to what extent is it possible? This is to remove the noise from the EMC/EMI test.   Additionally, is it correct that this motor driver can't use PWM 100% because it has H bridge structure? Because it requires switching of high side and low side FET? If so, if I set it to 100% and give the PWM signal, does it operate at 99%?? Or does it operate incompletely? For example, it generates noise..

It was working fine before, but has now stopped working. Upon investigation, we found that the RTC crystal oscillator is not oscillating. It won't return to normal with a reset. An investigation with the crystal oscillator manufacturer found no problems. Debugging showed a timeout at the following code. Hello,  I'm working on a project using the STM32WL55 MCU. I'm using the radio features for a LoRa application. The applications requires low power composition for it need to run un battery power. So far I have achieved low current measurement ~2uA  while in stop 2 mode and implementing sleep and wake up routines.  One of the latest requirements is to be able to use the channel activity detection mode (CAD) in the application. I have followed steps shown in the example and recommendations form the datasheet.  The CAD is required to scan on Spreading Factor 10 and 500Kz Bandwidth.  The operation works, however the current consumption is higher to that of other chips with similar CAD setup. The duration of the scan is ~14ms and the current measured during that time is ~4mA, which compared to other chips ~2mA which is about half of the current.  These measurements where done while no activity was detected. I want to use the EMMC as USB storage space, but I encountered another issue: I am trying to access the EMMC via SDMM1, and after implementing the MSC-related functions (read, write, USBD_STORAGE_GetMediaLastLba, USBD_STORAGE_GetMediaBlocklength) in ux_device_msc.c, the formatting operation on the PC side fails. The error message says: "Please insert a disk into the removable disk."I have already verified that after initializing SDMM1, the EMMC can be accessed and read/write operations are successful. Hi Sir,Would it be feasible to achieve an 80A peak current on this board simply by modifying the OCP circuit hardware and the corresponding firmware settings in X-CUBE-MCSDK? Or will thermal constraints and the PCB design itself (e.g., trace width, layout) prevent this from being a viable solution?( This is considering that the Power MOSFET used on the board, the STL160N4F7, has a much higher pulsed current rating according to its datasheet.)Thank you. 

Hello, I have recently upgradated STM32CubeIDE from v.1.13.2 to v.1.14.0.The upgrade seems has gone well, as indicated in the Help->About window:Anyway, if i check the window installed application list, is still indicated the previous version:Also, in the file system I continue to see the old version 1.13.2, but not the new one 1.14.0.This doesn't seem to be very clear and I am a little bit confused.Is it better to disinstall a reinstall STM32CubeIDE?Regards,Carlo

I tried to search the forum so I'm sorry if there is a solution posted to this problem.I have been struggling with creating the pattern inside the image. Every 10 seconds I want a short heartbeat pulse generated by DAC. (DAC goes high, then low).The period can experience a bit of jitter, no problem, but ideally it's every 10 seconds. However, the pulse is very important to have the correct timing as it is not allowed to be longer. I have tried to drive a timer in OPM mode with a slower timer as trigger, and the timers worked, but I couldn't get DAC and DMA to function the way I wanted, if this approach is possible, configuration pointers would be appreciated.I have also tried to enable a timer in software and disable it on DAC DMA complete transfer interrupt but this didn't work too well. If there is any way I can toggle the DAC with help of a timers capture compare that would be great. Then I could just enable the timer on some sys tick interrupt, use two CC's and disable it

Hi,We are trying to mount the VL537CX ToF(Pololu) sensor on roof of a car and map a certain area of the cabin. The sensor is pointed downwards.But we are observing the a pattern flashing (appearing for a single frame of ToF data) at an interval varying from 0.2 to 5 seconds. The pattern is not constant, there will be slight changes each time.There are textured hard plastic surfaces (black color & white color) in the locations corresponding to  the zones where flashing occurs. The windshield is close to the sensor, but is out of its FoV.­­­­­­What could be the reason for this behavior? What can be done to avoid this flashing behavior?Attached the images of normal zone values and zone values during flashing for reference.

Hi,for a project we are evaluating we need to read bank/credit card data via NFC (Number, expire date, ccv/cvv) to record when people are accessing a gate and when are leaving; similar to the underground gateways that could be accessed with credit cards directly.Could we do it with any of the ST25 NFC readers (e.g. ST25R3916B)?As we do not have to process any payments could we get the credit card data simply using the reader functionalities or do we need any additional software components?
