I received a "Webinar login information" which has no login but only yet again "join the webinar" button...So far I don;t have login and I don;t have a link to the webinar and / or webinar software to download... Hi,Recently we developed a on the fly Firmware update system using the L4 series MCU's.There it worked by setting the BFB2 bit and reading the FB_MODE bit to determine which bank was booted and where the code needed to be erased and written.Now we are testing the L552VET variant to do the same.I have found the OB bit SWAP_BANK that allows us to switch the Bank addresses. But is there also a mechanism like the FB_MODE from the L4 series available to check if indeed it booted bank 2? If we leave bank2 empty and we swap will it boot again in 1? Or will it just be stuck in an firmware-less bank2? Any more info about on the fly fw updates or OTA about the L5 series would be awesome!Marvin

I'm struggling to get a composite HID device to work properly.I started from the Mouse HID device and built a basic example. Mouse by itself works. Then I modified that example to impersonate a joystick. and that works, too.Then I create a composite HID device with 2 interfaces, and change the HID_Init code to initialize both. If I send data only thru the first interface (the mouse), everything works. But if I try to send data thru the second interface (joystick), the USB HID device stops working.I suspect a problem with the initialization code, but every time I try to debug it (with STLink), the USB interface stops working. Is there a trick to be able to debug HAL code when the USB is active?When coding for the nRF52 (using an onboard J-Link), there is a mode called "monitor mode debugging" which allows to use the debugger even when running time critical code (using interrupts). I am working on STM32F411 discovery kit configured as USB Host to a Power device.The power device that I use is APC UPS. The task is to read various parameters of UPS over USB by the STM. I use USBH_HID_GetReport function call with appropriate report ID. I see the values are perfectly read when ever this function returns USBH_OK.I am using APC Rackmount SUA750XL and SUA1000XL Models. My firmware works fine with 750XL model with USBH_OK most of the times.However, the USBH_HID_GetReport ALWAYS returns USBH_BUSY for 1000XL UPS.Can someone suggest what the issue could be and how to getover it.

Hello,About a year ago, I created my own project UDP_SERVER using STM32CubeMX. Everything worked until I upgraded HAL_Driver from 11.09.2020 ( V 1.25.1 ). My program stopped working properly.I searched for a reason for many days. This annoying change has occurred in the new version of the file Stm32f4xx_hal_eth.c in function ETH_MACDMAConfig():macinit.ReceiveAll = ETH_RECEIVEAll_DISABLE; The value was previously: ETH_RECEIVEALL_ENABLEQuestion:How can I change this setting in the application part of the program so that I don't have to change it in the file Stm32f4xx_hal_eth ?Peter

Hey all,I'm new to MCU programming. Right now I'm looking into starting interaction with STM32F407VG via a USB port. My simple understanding is I've got to create a piece of code allowing the MCU to pretend to be a device with a specific VID (1234) and PID (0001). I use MicroC PRO for ARM version 6.2.0, that comes along with a tool called "HID Terminal". Second tab of it is called "Descriptor" and allows to generate some code("USBdsc_STM32F407VG.c"), including but not limited to: "Device Descriptor", "Configuration Descriptor", "Report descriptor" and the VID and PID mentioned above. If I include "USBdsc_STM32F407VG.c" in the beginning of the main source code and leave "main()" function as just a piece of looping code doing nothing and then successfully program the MCU... Upon plugging the MCU into a Windows 10 PC I expect to see an unknown device under "Device manager" telling me the VID to be 1234 and PID=0001.

Hi!I want to transmit data synchronously (near real time) from ADC using DMA half- and full transfer interrupts.I created an example project for NUCLEO-F429ZI using the LWIP RAW API. I don’t want to use any RTOS because I want to learn and understand RAW api as best I can.The workflow I want to realize:the client PC connects to NUCLEOthe NUCLEO sends ADC data to PC controlled by DMA half- and full transfer interruptsMy problem is that I don't know where I safely call tcp_write?As I know, these function calls only safe in LWIP callback functions.Because I want to synchronize data transfer to ADC DMA, tcp_poll is not good.What can I do? Hello all,I have an STM32F7508-Discovery board (STM32F750N8H6 MCU) with a custom UI application on top, using LTDC and DMA2D in interrupt mode, and continuously filling the full display with red/blue. The Stm32CubeF7 v1.16.0 is used as an SDK.With this application, I have the following behavior:With IAR toolchain, no issues observed, application works smoothly with good performancesWith GCC toolchain (Stm32CubeIde 1.40.0), the application freezes at random points during executionThe worst part is that this is not an application freeze, but an MCU freeze, because:The debugger loses connectivity, trying to halt the CPU doesn't work during the freeze, neither does attaching the debugger without a system resetThe SysTickHandler is no longer executed, meaning the IRQs stop firingThe RTOS idle task is not entered anymoreThe WDT is the only thing that can reboot the MCU, with the WDT

I used STM32CubeMX 6.0.1 to create a project with features as FreeRTOS, HAL( Systick based on TIM1), USBHost, UART, SPI, I2C, I2S and GPIO etc. The empty framework project compiled by EWARM v8.30.1.17148, reporting nodefinition of CPU_SR_ALLOC(), CPU_CRITICAL_ENTER(), CPU_CRITICAL_EXIT(), OSIntEnter() and OSIntExit. After define these macros to empty, the project linked OK. when I debug the program, it crashed in HAL_Init() - the first line of main(), caused by enabling interrupt.All of used hardware, like object board, J-link, IDE and other tools are qualified and verifyed.Please help to find out wrong settings and correct !

Hi I have STM32F373VCT6 on the board that I am bringing up. I am trying to open up the USB_FS as VCP. I use 20 MHz oscillator, which gives 48 Mhz USB clock and 24 MHz for APB2. I use the code below: while (1) {  /* USER CODE END WHILE */  /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */ CDC_Transmit_FS(myBuf, 4); HAL_Delay(1000); }This code when I target to an EVK based on STM32H750VIB-dK works fine and I could see the VCP. The hardware is missing the transient suppressor but the rest seems fine, including the differential pair. The USB_FS signals go to PA12 (usb_dp) and PA11 (usb_dm). Part of the schematic is below. Hi, I'm trying to implement my own DFU bootloader interface, since I'm using a custom STM32F446RET board.Been looking into STM32F446ZE-Nucleo DFU_Standalone project to get some ideas, but seems to be quite different to my new custom CubeMX created project.Eg:STM32F446ZE-Nucleo DFU_Standalone project has a usbd_dfu_flash.c file which contains some Flash read and write functions (Flash_If_Write, Flash_If_Read).Custom CubeMX STM32F446RET board project has a usbd_dfu_if.c file, with some function prototypes like MEM_If_Write_FS, MEM_If_Read_FSAm I supposed to write my Flash read/write code into usbd_dfu_if.c function skeletons? Makes sense, but unfortunately there is a big lack of documentation on STM32 APIs, so I better ask.Thanks in advance

The problem appears in the serial port receiving interrupt function, the serial port is locked, but the latter sentence has been unlocked, but why is it still locked? I have consulted the manual of the STM32HAL library. The manual says that the serial port is dual-locked for sending and receiving data, which makes it impossible to send and receive data through the serial port at the same time. Hello! I'm using the STM32F767ZI Nucleo board. I'm trying to test an IAP using LwIP. I have a bit of an interesting situation. Our boards utilize the STM32f769NI chip, and we run our own custom bootloader that is used to read firmware images off of a microSD card and then update the firmware in flash memory. We flash a bootloader to the boards through a JTAG interface before shipping, but unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately) when the boards get put in their housing, the JTAG interface is then hidden from the user, and so accessing it is out of the question.A situation has come up where we need to update a board's bootloader while it is with a customer in the field. We do not want to force the customer to send back their board just so we can disassemble the housing to get to the JTAG interface, so we are developing a custom firmware image that will update the bootloader.Right now the bootloader is stored at 0x08000000, and the application/firmware gets flashed to memory location 0x08020000.
