I use the OCTASPI as QSPI. So far ok (QSPI transactions work).But I have realized:a) the QSPI does not release any signals after a transaction has finishedb) it does not seem possible to use OCTASPI (in QSPI mode, maybe as well in single SPI mode on OCTASPI pins) in "multi-master" mode (see details below)The OCTASPI does not release signals (at least not SCK, DIO0..3). I'm trying to control LED using GPIO.The GPIO pin settings are as follows.PB 8~15 : input dataPB 4~7 : output LEDAfter analyzing the input data, I want to export the output, but when PB 4 is exported, PB 12 is turned on, and when PB 5 is exported, PB 13 is turned on.Interference pins have no H/W connection.How can I solve this problem??

I am just now moving over from ESP32 to STM32 Discovery. One of the features that I like about the STM32 is that there are 3 ADC and several accessible channels.In my previous design on the ESP32 I used external ADCs and communicated with them using SPI. I'm hoping I can cut out the external ADCs.In the STM32F4 Discovery schematic it shows how the VDDA and VREF+ pins are connected so no external (highly accurate) reference voltage can be applied without cutting traces (which is not preferred).Also I have found recommendations for reading the VREF+ voltage level with software and comparing it to the reading from the ADC. This makes sense in theory and since I'm not concerned about sample rate at this point I think it is a viable option. And if there was noise on VREF+ line or the input I can take an average of many samples.I'll need to try it out for myself but wondering if anyone has experience and can recommend which method

Hi all,So I'm trying to communicate with a dust sensor (SMUART04L) via USART with the use of an STM32 F411RE. So far I have been able to connect it to the board and get a response of 0x42 which according to other online sources and datasheet is so far correct but I have been unable to try and retrieve data from the sensor. All other online sources show Arduino code and not LL USART code. This is what I have so far: while(LL_USART_ReceiveData8(USART6)!= 0x42);   for(uint8_t i=0; i<32; i++) { //LL_mDelay(500); Data[i] = LL_USART_ReceiveData8(USART6); }The above returns value 0x42 in the array, I assumed that reading the USART would have returned the data I need one byte at a time. But the data sheet refers to a data frame format that I have to decode and I've been trying to get the data source but have been so far unsuccessful. I assumed, similar to i2c that the sensor would just send data one byte

Posted on April 09, 2018 at 19:40Summary:Once you remove a folder you used lately the STM32CubeProgrammer cannot open a file and consequently program the MCU.How to reproduce:1. Select 'Erasing & Programming' window, open a file (either hex or bin) and program the MCU (I tested RAM programming through UART but ST-Link mode seems to be also affected)The file 'testCode.bin' was located here:C:\Users\abg015\Desktop\serilal-proto\test-code\2. Remove/Rename (this is crucial) the folder where the file is located, e.g.rename the folder:C:\Users\abg015\Desktop\serilal-proto\test-code\to:C:\Users\abg015\Desktop\serilal-proto\test-code2\3. Since then you cannot navigate to any folder using 'Browse' button, The 'Browser' button do es NOT react to mouse clicking. So you cannot open any file, neither program the MCU since then.

At this moment, I am still unable to launch a program from a bootloader.Can anyone send me a complete file for STM32CubeIde that would allow running a program from a bootloader? I am trying to write code for a simple transmit and receive in FDCAN (Classic Mode) in external loopback mode, but I have been unsuccessful in doing so. I don't even know where I am going wrong and am looking for help as my last resort.  I have tried using the MCP2551 CAN trasceiver and also without, as I am unsure whether the NUCLEO H7A3ZI-Q has an inbuilt transceiver or not. Whenever I try to run my code, the TxBufferMessagePending starts facing errors. Also, I wanted to know, if a transceiver is required for CAN interface, is it possible on a CAN transceiver like the MCP2551 or do I require a seperate CANFD transceiver. hi, i m using STM32H7 and have running SPI using interrupt transmittng and receiving from external ADC, now i m contemplating using DMA for SPI transmit and receive, but was not able to get any data reponse from the ADC. could anyone kindly advise any sample code on SPI DMA normal or circular mode? Hello, In my motor control project, I'm reading potentiometer value and set it as a duty cycle value. Initially I'm using "htim1.Instance->CCR1 = 50;" this function for pwm. but this is not giving correct phase voltage. Can anyone please tell me which is better way to to set pwm duty cycle. and difference between htim1.Instance->CCR1 = 0; and TIM1->CCR1 = 50 command. Thanks

I have a few questions about the DFU mode on the STM32F723. My goal is to enable users to flash a binary file to the MCU via a USB connection. My implementation is that i placed a 22uF capacitor on the boot0 pin then tied another IO pin (EO) in this case to boot0. To enable DFU mode, currently I pull E0 high for a second to charge the capacitor, then switch the pin to an input to make it high impedance. Next Deinit the USB HS Handle. After that do an NVIC Reset. My issue is that after resetting I don't see any new USB DFU device. Even though my USB CDC/HID Composite device is working at USB HS speeds using the onboard USB 2.0HS PHY.Here is my Schematic

I am developing a terminal device that performs serial communication and Ethernet communication using stm32f429zit6. TCP IP communication is performed between this terminal device and the server, and lwip raw API is being used for TCP IP communication. When this terminal device starts Ethernet communication with the server, it operates normally at the beginning, but then retransmission occurs from the server, communication is cut off, and the software operation of the terminal device stops. From what we have analyzed so far, it seems that retransmission occurs when the terminal device receives a packet from the server and gives an ACK signal late. Is there a way to improve this in the terminal device?The log below is the Ethernet communication packet log between the server and the terminal device. Here, 192.168.0.11 is the IP number of the server and 192.168.0.210 is the IP number of the terminal device. 

Hello Community,Using the USART commands in boot mode on a STM32H723 CPU, I faced following issues:Extended erase (0x44) and writing memory(0x31) to the flash works fine, if I write ALL bytes in blocks of 256 bytes.But if I do a read memory(0x11) after writing one block for verify purposes, I get FFs on the first bytes instead the correctly written data. This happens exactly after the second read block always, even if I write 4 blocks and do the readback then.The STM32 CubeProgrammer also only supports verification AFTER writing all data to the flash, not block by block.Is this a generic limitation in the boot loader ?
