STM32CubeProgrammer (MCUs)

Hi,i have an issue, where i implemented using DMA. Ive been trying to use the FDCAN systembootloader from a stm32H757XI, in the past i managed to use the CAN systembootloader from a stm32f405RE succcesfully. But im getting> nothing , i tried with 125 and 250Kbauds, CAN connceted to PH14 and PH13   Is FDCAN systembootloader compatible with STLINKV3+CubeProgrammer?

Is FDCAN Systembootloader described in AN5405supported by cubeProgrammer or the CLI tools?Because i only see the CAN (classic) option 

Hi there,I have an ST-Link V2 which i want to use for programming a .bin file to an stm32G0 MCU. Afterwards i want to set the RTC register to the time beeing. It already works "manually" but i wanted to write a script to automate the process.I already managed to script an automated RTC register setup, but the script needs the ST-Link to run with the libusb driver.Now i wanted to automate the .bin file programming with the CubeProgrammer CLI, but i can't connect to the St-link when using the libusb driver. To make things more confusing, i can still connect with the CubeProgrammer GUI when setting the option shared to enabled. After some reading of the docs i also managed to get the probe listed on the CLI when using   -l stlink-shared  It gives the following output:  

Hi, I'm making a board for UART and I2C communication.Please refer to the schematic below;  I put 5V External power supply at VBUS,and connects SWDIO, SWCLK, NRST, 3V3, GND to the STLINK V3 Minie. However it shows "No STM32 target found" message on STM32CubeProgrammer when I clicked "Connect" button.Since the "Target voltage" shows 3.31V, I think there is no power problem.Is there something that I missing?Please let me know.Thank you.

Is it possible to save the current GUI setting settings (e.g. file names and path, start address, erase option, ST-Link config)?

STM32 cube programmer doesn't recognize my custom board neither via USB DFU nor USART.My circuit is simply the STM32F070F6, a 12 MHz crystal and some LEDs to control (also caps and res as necessary).Even with boot0 direct in high or low, I'm not able to make the SW identify the MCU.

Hi,I can't get the external loader to work in STM32G491.For the test, I replaced the bodies of the Init()/Erase()/Write() function with LED blinking. I did this to check if the functions are called correctly. It seems the write protection section has disappeared from the CubeMX programmer some time between versions 2.15 and 2.17?  It is not visible in the UI or the CLI.  We are having trouble programming our boards without access to this section.

The  "Introduction to secure firmware install (SFI) for STM32 MCUs" AN4992 does not list the H743 as a supported device.The Secure Programming tab of the latest Cube Programmer V2-18-0 (Jan 20205) states it only supports STM32U0-5 & WBA.Yet the SFI/SFIx tab isn't disabled when connected to an H743VIT6 board.And the STM32 Trusted Package Creator allows the STM32H7 MCU to be selected as a target.Does anyone think that's not going to be confusing to STM clients new this (mine) field?The "STM32 Trusted Package Creator tool software description" User Manual UM2238 runs to 30+ pages of technical description, very far from user friendly.The STM Wiki "How to deploy SSP using a step-by-step approach" only focuses on the STM32MP1 and uses hard coded values specific to that MCU.The only video on YouTube is by Ruchit Naik a security engineer at STM who uses an AI voice.At 3.55 into the video a chart is listed that incl

Hi, I can't erase the external flash or write a new binary on my STM32N6570-DK board. My problem is similar to this post: STM32N6570-DK: Cannot erase external Flash. But the solution in that post didn't work for me.I have tried using two external loaders (MX66UW1G45G, OTP_FUSES) and also with only one loader (MX66UW1G45G). But everytime the erase is failed with this message: `Error: Mass erase operation failed. Please verify flash protection`.I am sharing some screenshots and my OTP export for your reference.Please let me know how to unlock the flash so I can program it.

I am using the STM32CubeProgrammer API v2.17.0 | Windows-64Bits.The microcontroller has 256 KB of flash memory in dual banks, which is 128 sectors of 2 KB.Flags: BFB2 = 0, DBANK = 1.I need to erase sectors 1...125 and not erase sectors 0, 126, 127.I am trying to do this with the following function:int sectorErase(unsigned int sectors[],unsigned int sectorNbr, char* sFlashMemName = nullptr);But only 64 sectors (0...63) from bank 1 can be erased. Hello,I have received the new STM32N6570-DK board a week ago. It successfully runs the "out-of-box" demo FW programmed into the external Flash and I am also able to load and run some simpler examples from SRAM through the integrated ST-Link debugger. However, when I try going further and would like to run more advanced examples requiring external Flash, I am having issues programming and erasing the external flash in the STM32CubeProgrammer. I do follow the steps in the manual (selecting the proper "external loader" MX66UW1G45G_STM32N6570-DK), however I receive the error "Error: Sector erase operation has failed at least for one of the existing specified sectors.Please verify flash memory protection." when trying to erase first 8 sectors or program another binary into the external Flash. Is the external flash locked by some option bytes or OTP? Is there anything that needs to be done to unlock it?I am using STM32Programmer v2.18.0.Attached is the scr

Hi, I am working with STM32L072 microcontroller. I programmed it without any validation or checksum issues, but after reading the firmware and verifying, a mismatch was found in a few flash cells.For downloading firmware I tried STM32CubeProgrammer v2.13.0 and older, also tried STM32 ST-LINK Utility v4.6.0.0 (STLinkUSBDriver.dll v5.1.2.0, ST-LINK_CLI.exe v3.6.0.0 if needed), STM32CubeIDE 1.17.0 and the problem was the same [Error: data mismatch detected at address 0x800FF3C (byte = 0x00 instead of 0xFF)]I try other levels of code optimization, the problem persists, but the corrupted cell positions change.I try to manually change these cells with STM32CubeProgrammer, but after writing to the corrupted cell, the other cells around were also corrupted.This problem exists on all my L072 processors. ST-Link FW : V2J43S7

Can we expect to get lightweight option of the STM32CubeProgrammer for CLI applications (STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe)  that does not require using STM32CubeProgrammer.The whole STM32CubeProgrammer package is over 600MB and contains variety of unnecessary files whereas the good old STM32-ST-Link Utility is only about 35MB and can perform majority of the operation.This is important for custom applications that internally embed ST tools to program ST32 devices. Just because I need to use UR (under reset) mode for my particular target device, I must use STM32CubeProgrammer as the STM32-ST-LINK utility does not support that. And that is quite annoying because my application now must be 600MB larger than it should be.It would be nice to get stripped down version of the STM32CubeProgrammer.

Hi STM Devs.I'm currently testing the: STM 32F030F4P6 and STM32 F030K6T6With the STM32CubeProgrammer and ST-Link v2 I could flash the MCUs the first time, but than all other trys run into the following Error Message"Error: No STM32 target found! Hi,I am trying to flash MCU firmware on my STM32L4A6VGTx MCU in bootloader mode over UART using cube programmer v2.17.0. What last version of STM32CubeProgrammer for Windows 7 (32bit) supported?current release notes described as "Windows10 (32/64bits) Windows11 (64bits)".But, there must have been a STM32CubeProg version supported Windows 7 in the past.Please let me know.  Of course use with offline and never connect to the internet.

Since configuring the STM32WB55CGU6 in STM32Programmer with the following settings, I am no longer able to connect to the chip using ST-Link. I cannot download programs in Keil, and the ST-Link in STM32Programmer cannot connect either. Changing the parameters also does not help with the connection. Furthermore, neither the USB nor UART connection methods are working. However, I can connect to STM32CubeMonitor-RF, but it doesn't seem to be useful. In STM32 ST-LINK Utility, ST-Link is detected, but I still cannot connect. I am also unable to erase the flash because I cannot connect to any software (except STM32CubeMonitor-RF). What should I do to connect to ST-Link?

Hi!I would like to ask for a little help. I have a LoraWan E5 wich I want to program with ST-Link V2, but as soon as I want to connect to it in the STM32CubeProgrammer I get the errors below. I also attached the pinout that I follow. I connect SWDIO, SWCLK, 5V and GND to the LoRa e5 mini. If I ping the lora with an AT command it responses on the serial monitor so the LoRa is ok. I updated the firmware wich was successful, also tried to set to reset mode and press the RST button while connecting but none of these are work. How would I be able to connect it?

(address is not always the same)Error: failed to download Segment[0]Error: failed to download the FileThe error in log file is:libusb control transfer error [-9] : LIBUSB_ERROR_PIPEEven the initial connection via USB does not work correctly, as not all information is always read correctly (The initial connection fails if I use version 2.10.0 of STM32CubeProgrammer).

Hi!I wanted to ask the following: Is it possible to get the output of STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe as JSON?We use the CLI within one of our internal software tools and the parsing of the output is a little brittle. A structured output format would help a lot. As far as I have seen, the CLI does not support JSON output right now. Is this correct?Thanks,Christian
