Hello,I'm currently working with the STM32G474RE microcontroller and aiming to transition from the standard dual bank mode to the single bank mode.However, I've encountered an issue during this transition. When switching the bank mode, the read width changes from 64 bits to 128 bits. This change in read width is leading to data misalignment problems so when  the HAL launch function responsible for loading and resetting the option byte after the bank mode switch is called, the program seems to hang, suggesting possible damage.Could you please provide guidance on how to address these issues and ensure a smooth transition to single bank mode without causing data misalignment or program damage?Thank you for your assistance. 

Hi.I wanted to know if the -w32 command always performs a sector erase?Does the -w64 command always perform a sector erase? If they always delete the sector, is there a command that doesn't do it?Best regardsJk

Hello, there is a problem with programming STM32G0Bxx/B1xx/C1xx using  STM32CubeProgrammer version 2.16.0  A have a HEX file starting at address 0x8001800 and with length 0x32800. When programming this using USB DFU, the tool first starts to erase some of the sectors first. Which is what i expect. Only the number of sectors and the address go wrong. See part of log of the tool: "14:38:58 : Size : 202.00 KB14:38:58 : Address : 0x0800180014:38:58 : Erasing memory corresponding to segment 0:14:38:58 : Erasing internal memory sectors [1 51]14:38:58 : erasing sector 0001 @: 0x08000800 done14:38:58 : erasing sector 0002 @: 0x08001000 done" As the sector size is 2K for this MCU type, it should erase sector 3 to 103 (or 102)! I'd like to be able to distribute secure code updates (encrypted) to clients along with an application that can program the STM32H743 over USB.The STM32CubeProgrammer works well with our board, but does not provide any security as far as I know for the code files, .elf or others.The idea is to have an application in which we can add code to decode our encrypted source and program the MCU over the USB link in boot mode.I am sure this would be useful to other developers needing to securely distribute code updates to clients or remote machines.

I am running into the same issue. I cannot download the program- the link is not working.I tried using two different browsers (chrome and edge) and checkout as a guest for both. Pretty frustrating.

I am trying to test flash integrity function.In order to cause an error I am changing the flash using STM32CubeProgrammer.After changing the data in the flash the firmware can no longer write to the same page until a  page erase. I only try to change bits that are set change from 1 to 0)Why is this happening? 

Ok, this should be a simple matter and I've done this before but I can't recall how I did it.  Not enough continuous exposure  to the platform, I guess.  With the stock SensorTile.box PRO plugged in and using the ST BLE Sensor app I get an immediate notice that a firmware update is available.  Update is applied with no issues, BUT, the actual .bin file is nowhere to be found on the Android phone.  I can find the original firmware file in the ST downloads for this Sensortile.box PRO, file but the updated .bin file appears to be a bit elusive.  Obviously, I can always install the original .bin then upgrade but what I'd like to do is download the updated firmware directly from the PRO to a .bin file on my computer using CubeProgrammer.  I've tried a few things but I haven't been successful.  My memory is missing something in the configuration of CubeProgrammer to make this work. How would I do this?Thanks,TJM

Hello,   I read through the fairly thorough How To Jump To System Bootloader From Application Code on STM32 regarding entering the bootloader from firmware but I am having an issue getting USART1 to work after the software jump.Code is below. I am able to successfully:Software jump to bootloader and access it from USBHardware jump to bootloader and access it from USBHardware jump to bootloader and access it from USART1However, I can NOT do a software jump to the bootloader and then have it work through USART1. Hi~ ​I'm trying to connect uart bootloader. but there is something wrong. I can't connect bootloader via STM32CUBEPROGRAMMER​and I found the datasheet that STM32F401 NUCLEO-64 only support one uart for system memory.​ I connect Uart1 (PA9, PA10) I've already checked that Uart1 is working on user FW ( I have tested )I connect BOOT0 and VDD ( I have checked 3.3V )I checked BOOT1 is grounded.I press the reset button.I think STM32F401 NUCLEO-64 is on system memory boot. (cause I programmed blink led , when I press the reset button, it stopped) I am trying to connect uart via STM cube programmer program.but it shows error message that "Error: Activating device: KO. The STM32CubeIDE Version is 1.15.1 and STM32CubeProgrammer is 2.16.0.I success programming a 64k bin file with the external loader while failed to program a bigger size file (150K). Hello everybody,I come back with a similar issue I've wrote in Issue in buffer to write before programming external flash but with a different memory, now is a NOR flash S29GL128S.I can read and write any address of external memory properly. Also I can do sector erase and full chip erase. A corruption data to write happens when it tries a program block of 342324 bytes in the external memory. I guess CubeProgrammer splits the block in 2 blocks because Write function is called 2 times, one with 171164 bytes and another with 171160 bytes. While I am referring to this video I am not able to set the user firmware address from 0x08000000 to 0x08008000 as mentioned in this video following the same steps for NUCLEO-G491RE. I am trying to program a chip using an STLINK V2. I am using only SWDIO, SWCLK, and ground, and I am powering the chip with 3.3 V. When I try to connect using STM32CubeProgrammer, it does not connect. Am I missing something?

Hello,The main purpose of the question is to avoid giving source code and give binary file instead.For example, I generate a compiled binary file from a nucleo project (STM32H743ZI2) for the M7 core.Then I want to create a new dual core project (STM32H755ZIT6) but import the previous binary file for M7 (.elf, .hex, .bin or whatever which will work) instead of importing its source code. (this two version of MCU were provided by the company, I actually have not clue if they are compatible)All the tutorials I saw use the importation of source code.In the newly created dual core project, I tried to make:Import> "stm32 Cortex M-executable"> select the generated .elf as executable, select STM32H755ZIT6 as MCUIs this the way to do it ?Is there a tutorial or a post that explained this ?
