STM32CubeProgrammer (MCUs)

Hi,I try to make a external loader for STM32G030. I was implemented function MassErase(), Write(), Read(), Init()...First I test function on "flash" version and everything work. my STLINK is not recognized on Windows (Device description failed). I have try to uninstall and reinstall the driver. I try 3 different ST-Link and different laptop, but I face the same problem. previously, I always used those ST-link on my laptop and it was fine.

I launched STM32CubeProgrammerIt does not work.It gives me this error message:***CubeProgrammer_API or one of its dependencies is missing.Please try reinstalling the program or check your java architecture.***I reinstalled it.I updated Java on the system.Nothing.What do I have to do?Can anyone REALLY help?Thanks

I have a project with a large number of image bitmaps I want to draw to a screen, so have set up an external FLASH IC for storing the majority of these images.I've verified my flash driver works and created an external loader for use in STM32CubeProgrammer. I've verified that this loader can read and erase sections of the external flash after I get the microcontroller to write to the flash, so now all I need to do is save the images to the flash from the CubeProgrammer but I'm unsure on what the best route to do this is.I understand CubeProgrammer accepts .Bin and .Elf files to program to the uC/flash but how do I create a .Bin/.Elf file with just images in them at specified memory addresses?Thank you for any help

We have a custom design using a STM32F373 and USB (USB micro connector). In the past this board has been updated via USB DFU and DFuSe Demo.I am trying to use USB DFU to program the board in STM32CubeProgrammer v2.16, but it appears when the board is plugged into a USB C adapter, it does not correctly identify in Windows 11 64-bit (USB Device Descriptor Request Failed).I've tested this board on 4 different PCs which make me think the USB C adapter and/or Windows 11 is causing the problem:- The board correctly identified on PCs 1 and 2, which had USB A sockets and Windows 10.  Board connected using USB micro to USB A cable.- The board failed to identify on PCs 3 and 4, which had USB C sockets and Windows 11.  Board connected using USB micro to USB A cable, and a USB A to USB C adapter (hub). Is the system memory USB DFU bootloader compatible with USB C/USB 3.0?Are there any known problems using USB A to C adapters with t

Hi Community, I wonder if there is a way to revise a board with new FW upgrade. I am using STM32WB5xx Nucleo board and I did several FW upgrade and I guess I did something wrong in one of the FW upgrade. I have an error saying "Rollback to older version of FW detected.." Is there a way to make my board completely erase and able to FUS? thanks,YJ

Hello.I'm using the TSSOP-20 package STM32G051. After attempting to write some optional bytes, the situation is completely ruined. no longer able connect debugger, Erasing flash, and changing optional bytes. 1. My custom board is configured as follows and worked well without any problems before. 2. Working with STM32CubeProgrammer 2.16.0 and ST-LINK V3, and SWD connection.2-1. Cannot connect with "Normal", "Under reset", "Power down" Mode. will output the following message and fail:07:00:24 : UR connection mode is defined with the HWrst reset mode07

I am using the following command  ./STM32_Programmer_CLI --connect port=/dev/cu.usbmodem103 P=none  but I get the following error:Error: Activating device: KO. Please, verify the boot mode configuration and check the serial port configuration. Reset your device then try again... However, if I add "console" at the end of the above command I can connect and I can write/send files but i cannot read. How to fix that? 

I have detected a problem with the v2.15.0 (64 bits) when flashing a STM32L475 MCU.The message 'sector nnn does not exist' appears repeatdly when erasing sectors when flashing the device.This only happens with v2.15.0., and then the device last a lot to be flashed and if there were some preserved flash areas, they are erased Nevertheless, if v2.14.0 is used, the update procedure is completely carried out.So, which is the problem? Is this issue already identified?  

I am trying to modify the NRST_MODE option byte for a STM32G030 MCU.I have changed the reset pin to GPIO using the GUI, but that is not very usefull for a production environment.The option byte in not available from the CLI. -> Please make it available (very usefull for production programming)On the GUI the option is hidden away in the Registers - BETA page -> FLASHPlease make it available on the option bytes page for the STM32G030For the STM32G031 it is there in the Option Bytes -> please make it also available for the STM32G030. Also the CLI has the NRST_MODE as an option byte

I have tested few of the stm boards like STM32F302R8 , STM NUCLEO f767zi .We connect the hardware to laptop and usb pass through on VMware allows it to detect on virtual com port of VDI.But when we try to access the stm hardware through stmcube programmer, under serial number it shows " not st link available" STM hardware devices are detected on virtual com ports on the VDI but not on the cubemx programmer. Can anyone help me on this

Hello Everyone, II'm currently working with my Nucleo L073RZ board and so far my program built successfully but i cant upload it. Nonetheless, other programs are still able to run well on the board. Reason: No device found on target."Setup: I made a breakout-board for an STM32F030R8T6. The board only carries the µC and spreads out the pins to use on a breadboard. I connected all VSS and VDD pins and used 0.1µF capacitors as close as possible to the µC. I connected the ST-Link-V2 as follows:VSS -> any GND pinVDD -> any 3V3 pinNRST -> NRST  (pin 7) (not sure if I need to connect the pin somehow aside from the debugger)SWDIO -> SWDIO (pin 46) 220Ohm PullupSWCLK -> SWCLK (pin 49) 220Ohm PulldownI tried BOOT0 pin pulled low or high, both didn't work.

I am using CubeProgrammer_API to implement a firmware update on my app. I am encountering an error where it cannot connect to the DFU bootloader. The device is visible in device manager and it is properly connected.int usbConnectFlag = connectDfuBootloader(dfuList[0].usbIndex); This line is causing me issues as it is not printing any values. Any code below this line would not run. I am not sure what is the issue.

I'm using a working + tested board with the STM32H503KB; connecting over SWD via an ST-Link board. I'm on MacOS and using version 2.16 of STM32CubeProgrammer.I am attempting to use the programmer to write a SHA256 password hash to OTP memory, in order to configure debug authentication. Without this, I cannot progress the product state to Provisioning or higher without losing device access. I am finding I am unable to perform this through either the GUI or CLI.First, I'll describe what happens in the GUI. I successfully connect to my target, enter the Secure Programming section, and click the PROV tab. I enter a password, choose an existing directory for the password file to be saved, and click Start Provisioning. Here is a screenshot just before I click the button.

Cant program STM32G031J4 with stm32CubeProgrammer 2.16.0 (bootloader 3.1). It display default flash size of 63Kb and all command have errors ( erase/read/write.....). 

While "ST-LINK_gdbserver -d -v --frequency 1000 -cp ..." connects fine to STM32U083C-DK, NUCLEO-H7SL8 does not work.STMicroelectronics ST-LINK GDB server. I am working with the L051 chip and having issues with the CubeProgrammer Download..History:   we work with many of the STM32 chips.....and have for years, so well versed in this ...so this is an issue that we have not seen using any of the Tools... I wrote a test program, very simple toggle led....Set up the .IOC with FreertosProgram compiles just fine... as expected.....But this program is not the issue, using the Cube programmer is where the error comes in..Hardware setup....Custom board with STM32L051 chip.Using an FTDI USB  - TTL cable for programming PORTA100K pullups on the TX and RX as per AN2606BOOT1 pin pulled low, via 10K resistor for correct Boot config.Issues:We are able to connect to the chip in CubePrgmr just fine every time...In the TAB   Erasing and Programming:we load the   .ELF   file in to the prgm
