STM32CubeProgrammer (MCUs)

After upgrading CubeProgrammer to new release 2.16 CLI commands started to fail during verification phase when changing option bytes on STM32U5A5. Sample command which fails:STM32_Programmer_CLI -c port=SWD mode=UR --hardRst -ob WRP1A_PSTRT=0xff WRP1A_PEND=0The same operation performed from GUI works correctly. I had to go back to release 2.15

I am able to read a memory location but do not have to save the result to a file.  here is my command STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe -c port=swd mode=ur Freq=4000 -r16 0x803c000 0xA c:\TPD\ST_Prog\guid.bin The data is displayed in the cmd window correctly 0x0803C000 : 0614 BB17 E000 D169 6E39   how can I save it to file.  I tried adding a path to the end of the command but nothing is saved.  Am I missing a -xxx command somewhere?

I am using STM32_Programmer_CLI and need a list of all possible error codes.  Where are they located?

Use the tools as if you were a User, test basic functionality and interaction so you KNOW it works properly.Here trying to understand interactions with an External Loader in STM32 Cube Programmer.I'm fine with one line of information, but put some actual information in that line, ie for a Read the Address and Size would be a MINIMUM.I'd use Level 3, but the method used for the Logging Window CHOKES when doing a million SMALL reads on a 32MB SPI device when verifying. What controls the size, the H7 has loads of RAM it uses on Writes?Sorry if I sound frustrated, but I've tried to use these tools for years, they aren't getting markedly better and seem to lack any Quality Assurance or any desire to address basic issues over the span of multiple years.@brk​ 

Hi, I'm trying to create a C# wrapper for STM32CubeProgrammer_API.dll. In version 2.10, the downloadFile function worked perfectly within my C# wrapper. However, upon updating to version 2.15 of the STM32CubeProgrammer_API.dll, the function no longer operates as expected. Hello,I'm trying to develop a custom external loader for STM32WL5 device, in a custom board using SPI flash memory Winbond W25Q80DV.In the past I've already developed external loaders successfully for other MCUs and boards.I again followed the steps described by official documentation, hints on this forum, examples in folder bin/ExternalLoader of CubeProgrammer: I set up a new project with CubeIDE, compiled, created .stldr file and copied it in ExternalLoader folder. If I debug the project everything is ok. Besides, opening CubeProgrammer, I correctly see my new external loader in external loader list and information provided are correct.The problem is that when I try to read from the SPI flash mapped address (set to 0x9000 0000 in this case) using CubeProgrammer, the procedure fails. Hello all developers Today I came to ask for advice. I have an STM32 Nucleo-144 development board with stm32H723ZG. At first it worked fine. But suddenly there was a problem of not being able to connect to the stm32cube programmer. I was wondering why the Voltage was about 0 volts.

Hello, i use STM32CubeProgrammer for flashing devices with .hex files, but after the update from version v2.11.0 to latest v2.15.0 the downloading doesn't work (it also doesn't work with 2.14.0). Hello,I recently updated from 2.14 to 2.16 and I'm having a DFU download problem. The board is recognized correctly, but the problem occurs when downloading the firmware file. The sectors do not get cleared because they are found to be nonexistent.I'm using an STM32L433RCT6 chip. I downgraded to 2.14 and everything works like a charm.Attached is the log file.

Hello,  I'm trying to setup a production line where I have to flash a serial number on each piece after it has been programmed with the standard firmware. I put the serial number in an hex file, and I'm trying to write it using STM32_Programmer_CLI but I need to skip the flash erase before programming.  I tried using 'ske':  STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe -c port=SWD -w serial.hex ske but the flash keeps getting erased.  I found out that with ST-LINK_CLI.exe I can use the option 'ske' to disable flash erase, and I tried it, but it seems kind of obsolete because when I launch ST-LINK_CLI.exe -c SWD LPM -P serial.hex ske I keep receiving this error:

Automatic mode works fine just to download binaries to the MCU.If It try to set option bytes read out protection to BB afterwards, the software will lock.It displays:15:20:13 : UPLOADING OPTION BYTES DATA ...15:20:13 : Bank : 0x0015:20:13 : Address : 0x40023c1415:20:13 : Size : 4 Bytes15:20:13 : PROGRAMMING OPTION BYTES AREA ...And stays on this state forever, If I click "Stop automatic mode" it displays:15:21:55 : aborting on going operation...15:21:55 : Disconnected from device.But it won't work normally. All the features related to non-automatic operation will remain disabled. The only way to bring it back is closing it, and opening it again.When I change the option bytes manually, it works fine.The string I used to set the read out protection is -ob RDP=BBIs there anything else I should do ?Any help will be highly appreciated.

I am getting CUBEPROGRAMMER_ERROR_NOT_SUPPORTED when I try to connect to a device in my code. In their example code is working. Issue is when using with my code. It's an strange issue. I copied all also checked in file comparision. All good but while using other code it's returning CUBEPROGRAMMER_ERROR_NOT_SUPPORTED (-5) error.

I am testing firmware upgrade API from CubeProgrammer_API. For some reason, it keeps printing that the firmware upgrade failed, but when i check the firmware version of my device, the firmware has been updated. Does anyone know what is the cause of it? I am using STM32H563ZI board and trying to develop a UART communication project but I just can't figure how to connect to STM32CubeProgrammer threw UART and always get the error:" Error: Activating device: KO. Please, verify the boot mode configuration and check the serial port configuration. Reset your device then try again... "I am having a issues with the UART in general and can't figure out how to transmit data correctly. 

I am working on implementing a firmware update on my electron app using CubeProgrammer_API. I keep encountering issues on connecting to the DFU bootloader in which is giving me CUBEPROGRAMMER_ERROR_NOT_SUPPORTED (-5). I compiled my code into a .exe and run a JavaScript code to execute the .exe. However, when I run the .exe manually, it works fine, but not on my Electron app. I have the latest version of STMCubeProgrammer (2.16.0). 

HiI am trying to get a custom external loader working on a STM32L562VET with a MT25QL128ABA attached over QuadSPI. I have followed this tutorial: https://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/support/learning/stm32-education/stm32-moocs/external_QSPI_loader.htmland after some modifications, I managed to successfully run the main_test code and everything seems to work fine. I can also see the data in the memory viewer in the STM32CubeIDE.I then continued to build the *.stldr which also seem to work fine. However when I import it in STMCubeProgrammer v2.15.0, I can erase certain sectors or the whole chip.
