STM32CubeProgrammer (MCUs)

I created a new board using STM32L431CBT6. The initial programming of the board was successful. However, once a program was written, I found that it couldn't be modified again. I suspected it might be related to Boot settings, so I tried changing Boot0 to High, NRST to Low, and various other attempts, but ultimately I couldn't access it. I thought it might be because I didn't set Debug to Serial Wire in SYS, but it seems unrelated.I am using STM32CubeProgrammer as the tool. When I try to access the board using a Chinese-made (purchased on Amazon) ST-LINK/V2, I cannot access it. However, writing was possible on the first attempt with this device.Simply connecting it, the Serial number becomes corrupted, and it cannot be connected.

I need to write option bytes using HEX file, but so far can't work on STM32C0. I have an RS585 1/2 duplex transceiver hooked to USART2 configured for hardware flow control (RS485) on an STM32L412 micro.Is it possible to program a virgin part using the STM32CubeProgrammer, and to later do a firmware update over this comm channel?I searched the forums but did not find a definitive answer.

I am developing a custom bootloader for a client on an STM32 system. I am using STM32CubeProgrammer to exercise the new bootloader and the built-in system bootloader to investigate the protocol being used over UART. In addition, I am referring to AN 3155, which describes the protocol.The issue/confusion I am facing is that when using the system bootloader and STM32CubeProgrammer and capturing the UART traffic for erasure of a single page, I see a different message sent from the programmer than that described in AN 3155, unless I am missing some important detail in the app note.For example, erasing the first page of an STM32F103 I capture the following output from STM32CubeProgrammer.:[43h] [BCh] [01h] [00h] [2Bh] [2Ah] The first difference to the app note is in byte #3, the number of pages to erase. According to AN 3155 this should be N-1, so I would expect this to be "00h."Secondly, b

I'm using a STM32F105 and can program the firmware with an ST-Link to get firmware with USB DFU device driver on the device.The device gets recognised if I connect it with USB and I can connect and read the memory without issues.If I try to program a new firmware over USB it all looks good but after the verify step I get an error: Download verification failed.When I check the firmware is not updated at all. It's weird because in the log I see that the sectors get ereased and download is complete but it seems nothing is written to the flash.See print screen below.

HelloIs there a way to activate "POWER ON"  for programming or debbuging a STM32 with STLINKV3-PWR when using STMCube programmer or STMCube IDE ? 

Hello, everytime I try to download a file (in STM32CubeProgrammer) that was generated using STM32CubeIDE I get a data mismatch error at address 0x08000004.  Interestingly, if I write a simple blink sketch using the arduino IDE and upload that it works fine (And arduino is set to use STM32CubeProgrammer to upload - when in boot mode of course).  So I can take either the .elf or .bin that the Arduino IDE generates and upload just fine with STM32CubeProgrammer but NOT a .elf file that I create using STM32CubeIDE.I'm completely new to STM32 so any ideas on where I should look would be appreciated.  

Hello, I use the original StLink V3 set, along with STM32CubeProgrammer via cmd. Sometimes I encounter an error where ST-Link jumps into Error: ST-LINK error (DEV_USB_COMM_ERR).I don't know how to resolve it. The only solution that works for me is to disconnect and reconnect the ST link to USB. However, this is problematic if I want it to function reliably in production. Hello I have a problem, I want to update the program on my STM32L053R8T6 using a TC2030-MCP-NL probe which is connected to a SPY-BI-TAG on my st-link v2. I have updated my St-link v2 to the latest version. What I don't understand is why the software can't find my STM32L053R8T6. The STM32L053R8T6 is integrated on an electronic board used for metrology. I just need to update the STM32L053R8T6 but I can't as I can't connect it. Does anyone have a solution? I've already updated the firmware to the latest version.

I am reading a large external memory and it takes several minutes (slow bit banging SPI). To dump it to a file I have to read the memory twice because when I select "Save As" CubeProgrammer reads the default memory size (0x400) (not the 0x800000 I entered). So I have to select "Read" for the first time, the cube reads 8MB correctly, then I select "Save as" and Cube reads the memory for the second time, the Cube window freezes, the progress bar does not work - second problem). After a few minutes, the Cube responds again and the dump is saved to a file.Why can't we save data we've already read?Yours faithfullyPeter

After installing the programmer to the system and connecting it to STLINK, I encountered this NOT FOUND error. I don't know where the problem is. Also, my programmer is STLINK_V2.My second question is, when I try to install the STLINK UNITY software, error 1605 is displayed to me and I don't know where the problem is? HI,  We have designed a test fixture for a 6 panel PCB in which we use 6 individual STM programmers (STLINK-V3MINIE) and we sometimes see a problem where windows no longer recognizes one of the programmers and we can't get it back (complete system reboot does not help). We removed the faulty programmer and tried in on another windows 10 computer and there it is working fine. but when we place it back in the test fixture computer it is no longer recognized by the STMCube programmer software but windows does recognize it as a COM port device but not as a USB device. We swapped out the programmer with a new one and it is working again (being recognized by STM Cube Programmer and everywhere in Windows).   Fast forward a month or 2 and we are seeing the same issue again and now we removed the faulty programmer and i didn't have another one laying around so i tried the old one. I am trying to erase my STM32U575 which is on a Nucleo board (U575ZI-Q) and it connected to the computer via ST-Link V3. I can erase the chip fine using the GUI STM32CubeProgrammer, but the command line method does nothing. I'm a complete newbe at directly programming STM and am learning using a Nucleo-l476RG board. When I try and run my code from STMCubeIDE I get errors failed to execute MI command and then "the system tried to join a drive to a directory on a joined drive".I tried connecting directly from STM32Cube programmer and I get DEV_TARGET_HELD_UNDER_RESET.Yesterday the board was working and I was prompted to update the ST-Link firmware.I'm lost and would be grateful for any pointers.MarkG0MGX

Hello,I have a project that need external loader for QSPI Flash (STM32F412G-Disco board).I'm using Visual Studio Code to write code and build the project. It work fine and i can load it with STM32CubeProgrammer.For other project, without External Loader, I have configured Visual Studio code to load the binary. It use the extension cortex-debug and a launch.json file where you configure:servertype; "openocd"device; STM32F41xconfigFiles: board/stm32f412g-disco.cfg...It load fine the MCU, but not the external memory.Does anyone knows if it is possible to load the external memory from Visual Studio Code and if yes how to do it ?Thank youAntoine

Hello, I'm trying to enter the boot mode of STM32G031 with SW.the STM32G031 is connected to the STM32F4 board through UART communication and I can only set the BOOT0 pin high when connected to STM32F4' GPIO. as the RM0444 section 2.5 indicates, the boot configuration includes the BOOT_LOCK, nBOOT1, nBOOT0, and nBOOT_SEL bits. is there a possible way to enter the boot mode of the STM32G031 when it's connected to another board?
