Posted on November 06, 2017 at 01:37After MCU reset, I got the following and the IOT bit is set. But according to the RM0046(Reference manual, September 2013, Rev 5) the IOT bit should be reset after MCU reset.#lintcsr

Posted on November 09, 2017 at 02:11I downloaded the latest SPC5Studio version 5.5.  If I check for updates, it looks for http://spc5.drive.cloudforge.com/projects/spc5releases/spc5studio/updates5 which does not exist.  The root branches for SPC5Studio have source for 5.3.2, which leaves me thinking that this way of updating is deprecated?  Help>>>Check for Updates... gives error.  Anyone available for a retainer, week's worth of work from home to hold my hand a little, please contact me.

Posted on October 25, 2017 at 05:43Hello Team,This is Shivananda from Robert BOSCH. we are using  SPC584Cx/SPC58ECx 32-bit MCU family (Chorus 4M).we need to implement a feature when system in stanbymode, after 5 hours self wakeup of system should happen.Hope using Timer/Counter concept we need to achieve 5 hours count  and also using 'Smart Standby Wakeup unit� (SSWU) we can Wakeup the system.As per reference manual I have this informationIRCOSC is also the system clock available during the STANDBY and it is placed inSTANDBY power domain.Is it possible to implement this feature in Chorus4M???? if Pls can anyone help me in this to implement this feature.- I need Register details which are required to achieve this      1. How to run timer in stanbymode and which and how to enable clock to run the timer.

Other documents relating to the e200z4d mentioned only MMU in core (no mpuwe instruction and mpu related registers shown) and only system MPU.Is it a (so detailed) document for comparison of the spc56ec and spc58ec internal features like MPU?Is it the same CMPU/SMPU in Chorus 4M like Chorus 6M ?Thanks!

Posted on October 03, 2017 at 19:25Hi I'm using the SPC560P40L1Im trying to switch a GPIO using pre-defined data stored in memory. I would like the GPIO to switch after a rising edge on a PWM pin which is being monitored by ETC/eTimer. I also need the DMA to control all of this. The CPU is pretty loaded already. Is there an example code I could use? Im using the SPC5studio and they only have examples of DMA use with SPI and ADC. I looked at the reference manual and that is not easy to start of with as a beginner to DMA  Can anyone point me in the right direction to get started?-Thanks

Posted on October 10, 2017 at 16:26Hello!I'm using XPC56xL minimodule on the XPC56XX motherboard.I slightly modified the SPC56ELxx OS-Less ADC Test Application to print the ADC conversion values on the UARTThe issue I noticed is that the value of the conversion is not stable: for example if I print 15 measures (all of them done without changing the trimmer position) I get the following result (in hexadecimal):ADC Value:278279274278277274272272275278276274276276278276So it seems that the 4 least significant bits are given only by the noise. Since i read on the reference manual that the ADC has 12 bits resolution, i would like to know if there is a strategy to keep those bits stable.Thank you in advance!kind regards,Fabio

They need to have the same frequency but different duty cycles  I have got PWMA0 and PWMA1 working but I am not able to get them synced together. There is a 9.2us difference in switching between A0 and A1.  I tried playing around with the FORCE_EN register and but was unsuccessful. Is there any easy way to get this done?

Posted on September 27, 2017 at 12:03Hi all,I'm developing on a SPC56EL60L3 device, using SPC5 Studio, I have two querstions about the FPU:1. executing a division of a float number by 0.0F I would expect an infinite result (which means a 0bS111 1111 1xxx .... xxxx value, according with IEEE 754 standard), dividing 0.0F by 0.0F I would expect a NaN result (0bS111 1111 10xx ... xxxx value); in both cases the result is 0bS111 1111 0111 1111 .... 1111, which is a valid number (3.40...e+038).Can you confirm that the SPC56 implements the IEEE 754 standard? What's wrong in my tests?2. moreover I would expect the FPU to generate an exception (IVOR33), which is actually not managed by device. Posted on September 20, 2017 at 19:44Hi I trying to use the PIT to generate an interrupt every 1.7uS to toggle a GPIO and it does not seem to be working well. I have a sysclk of 64MHz. Im using PIT1 and setting the LDVAL register with a count. Now the timer seems to be working well for a count of 200000 which corresponds to an intrerupt time of 5uS. But any value less than that and the timer is unstable (high value of jitter) Going further a value of 1000000 which corresponds to an interrupt time of 1us just does not work. The PIT does not seem to be able to generate an interrupt less than 2.5us. I tried chaining the priority of the PIT interrupt to 15 in the file pit_lld.h Below is my setting #define SPC5_PIT_CH1_IRQ_PRIORITY       INTC_PSR_ENABLE(INTC_PSR_CORE0_15) This also did not seem to work. Posted on May 03, 2017 at 05:45Hi ST expert,I am trying to use SPC5 as a multi-channel PWM controller. Normally for this kind of application, the duty cycle calculation will be done in an interrupt. For 100kHz PWM, the allowed interrupt duration is <10uS, for example 8uS max. The rest of time (10uS-8uS=2uS) should be reserved for other processes, such as communication etc.As there is a lot calculation for multi-channel PWM, it is necessary to maximize the usage of the interrupt duration. However, I found it will take >1.2uS to enter an interrupt and take another 1uS to go back to the main routine for 48MHz clock. That means >40% of the interrupt duration will be wasted. Attached is my program used to test the interrupt duration and the captured waveform - PIT Channel 1 as the trigger source; PC9 is the output.My question here is why SPC5 needs so many clocks to enter and left the interrupt and is there any way to reduce such
