Posted on June 11, 2018 at 10:33Hello,I have encountered problem with my SPC560P60. After power on reset I am stuck at ram init function waiting for POR flag in RGM. My SW distinguish between reset sources and if it is POR I am initializing SRAM.But in this case I am doing POR and cannot see the corresponding flags after POR and my SW get stuck and reset by SWT.Peter#reset #spc56xp60 #rgm

Posted on October 25, 2017 at 05:21I want to put the boot_loader_version of 'const unsigned char boot_loader_version[3]={1,0,0};' at 0x600 of code flash, so the application can read it. How could I do it?

Posted on June 11, 2018 at 10:15I feel like I am not finding an explicit answer to this question in the errata.  I notice that the SPC56 has a 5V tolerant ADC, but I am wondering if I can use 5VDC logic for the GPIO pins?  I have some legacy 5V shift registers and I am wondering if the GPIO inputs are 5V safe...

Posted on June 07, 2018 at 09:33Hello,My name is Martin and I am teacher at Secondary school of informatics, electrical engineering and crafts in Roznov, Czech Republic.With a group of student, we are trying to create control board with your SPC560P60L3 microcontroller. We have followed AN2871 during our board design, but we still have problem with microcontroller boot up process.After power supply the board, microcontroller is still in reset and we do not know why.We have already checked Voltage regulator which seems to be correct according your application note, also decoupling capacitors are designed correct.Could you please send me any suggestion, what I can check?Thank you in advance.Best Regards,Martin

Posted on June 08, 2018 at 07:14I am working on SPC563M64 controller. I have started working on shadow flash now. But during testing of shadow flash code I got debug port fail error while trying to connect to controller. I think the board is permanently reset and I am not able to connect to my board again. What can I do ? I have also tried the sequence of commands in a sequence listed below but still I was not able to connect to controller :1. system.option.cpu   2.SYStem.Option.KEYCODE 0xFEEDFACECAFEBEEF3. system.up.Please tell me what is this issue is ?#spc5x

Posted on June 05, 2018 at 10:58Hi all, I've got a SPC570S-DISP eval board and I've been trying to get the sample serial code working. The LED's are working fine and I'm sure rest of the code is fine too but I cannot see any COM Ports in device manager. I've installed FTDI and VCP drivers but it still is not showing. I followed ''Quick_Start_Guide_MCTK_cx536446_1.10.pdf'' document to setup toolkit.I am trying to setup software with insturctions in page 13. I have a problem on 3rd step. I have imported demo application SPC560Pxx_RLA_Web_Motor_Control_Demo_Application on SPC5 Studio. But i can not see anything under motor control section to configure motor parameters. It seems some libraries or object files can not imported. Here is the project explorer view of me and quick start guide. Can you explain how can i solve this issue. By the way, i have also installed ''UpdateSite_MCTK_SPC56xx_Web_RTM100''.

Posted on May 23, 2018 at 17:29I'm creating a new project with the SPC570S family and would rather not have to recreate the schematic symbol or layout footprint. They exist, since ST provides an Eval Board. Is there a way to get them to keep from having to reproduce them myself?

Posted on May 22, 2018 at 13:47HI,I found an FCCU exception while running some code in Stop mode in SPC58NE84C3(6M). The source for the FCCU is from MEMU(MEMU_RAM_UCE_22)  but i do not know why this error is occurring. Since i'm using Isystem IC5500 debugger which doesn't support low power debugging for 6M variant in my case. Posted on May 10, 2018 at 13:14hello guys：      I am using the flexcan module of spc560p, now I want to use the abort mechanism to recover the can bus from busoff state by software instead of by the hardware automaticly，because the  hardware recovery  is too fast，So I enabled the AEN bit in the MCR，when I captured the busoff in ESR register，I began to abort the TX MB by set the CS CODE to 09, and then activited the TX MB by set the CS CODE to 08，and then  send the message，but there was no message had been sent out，and the can bus was still busoff，there was no waveform in the can bus ，I‘ve seen the manual  several times， but I am not clear about how to recover from the busoff state by software？If any of you have the answers，I will be very appreciateï¼�

Posted on May 10, 2018 at 06:58I am using spc560b discovery board , i want to implement low power modes like halt , stop and standby ,i am able to implement standby mode and waking up with CAN Rx at PB1 , however when i try with stop modei think it got hang and current consumption not get reduced and it didn't wakeup like in standby mode .For sleep i am using PA3 pin interrupt , most of the code i have took from the example project , SPC560Bxx_OS-Less_STANDBY_Test_Application_for_Discovery that i got in different thread .I am sharing code as attachment any help will be appreciated .#issue-with-stop-mode-. #spc560b-discovery-board

Until now I have only done some small project with the STM32 family.In these days I'm starting a new project, a control board for a high power outdoor lighthouse, and since the requirements are similar to those automotive (temperature and vibration) I was taking a look at the SPC5 family.Since I'm relatively a beginner, I wanted to ask what are the advantages (and disadvantages) of using the SPC5 family instead of the STM32, and whether the SPC5 family is right for my application or if it's better to use the STM32.Someone can help me choose between SPC5 and STM32.Thanks in advanceFederico.

Posted on April 06, 2018 at 12:20I am using SPC560B-DIS  discovery board and UDE STK 4.8  debugger for my project .I am facing issue with watchdog during debugging  , i have set my watchdog in window modewith time out period of 100 ms , and window as 50 ms .I am not servicing watchdog to check whether watchdog  reset or not after 100 ms , by analyzing one pin state in oscilloscope .In oscilloscope i am able to see pin state change for very short time , but differences between consecutive peaks is coming accurately 100 ms . I have put FRZ bit as 0 so watchdog  counter will increment in debug mode .Issue : When i debug the code using UDE STK 4.8 , reset is happening and continuous warning messages are displaying in log window with time stamps .But when i am putting the break point in main , it is not hitting frequently but ran

Posted on April 04, 2018 at 06:45I tested K2 GTM tom0 channel based on studio version 5.7.2.for example ,tom0 ch0 output 20khz,50% ouput on io port selected in pin  -> it is OK,if I configure tom0_ch0,ch1,ch2,ch3 with same frequence and duty ,and output to IOs,then I did not see any pulse on IO ports.but if I only enable one tom0 channel ,it is fine. is it bug in stuido?

Posted on March 07, 2018 at 09:14I'm using SPC574K72E5 for CAN application, so I create a demo project SPC574Kxx_RLA CAN Test Application for Discovery and get nothing on CAN output. I have already choose the NO_LOOPBACK mode and select RX/TX pin in the pin map but the programe have problem atreturnvalue = can_lld_transmit(&CAND2, CAN_ANY_TXBUFFER, &txf);returnvalue is always CAN_MSG_WAIT.
