Hello,For the past few days, I’ve been trying to operate the VIPer35 quasi-resonant  offline high-voltage converter, but I haven't been able to get any output. I attempted to bypass or disconnect the output of the PC817 optocoupler and also tried shorting it—still, no pulses were generated. I also connected the ZCD pin directly to ground and then to VDD in another attempt, but there was still no output. Additionally, I tried powering the VDD directly with 15V and even applied 230V AC through a variac, but no pulses appeared.I need guidance on how to generate pulses or how to properly trigger the VIPer35 IC.In the oscilloscope yellow graph is Vds and Blue graph is Vdd

I have ST1PS02D1QTR (output discharge disabled variant). However, I am observing that if AUX = low but external 1.2V is applied to VOUT2, I get power dissipation that seems in-line with output discharge resistance on VOUT2. My question is this: does ST1PS02D1QTR still have the VOUT2 Rdisc2 Auxiliary output discharge MOSFET on-resistance (discharger)?

A design I am debugging is utilizing Y5V dielectric capacitors on the input and output of the L4931. There is a 2.2uF capacitor directly at the output and another 2.2uF capacitor on the other side of an ~4 Ohm resistor that analog supplies are used off of.Are there any concerns over temperature for using this dielectric type with this LDO? I know that Y5V tends to have a pretty variable capacitance over the operating temperature range of this LDO. I wanted to check in and see if there is any margin on the LDO for the stability capacitor requirement that would accommodate this capacitor dielectric type.I also wanted to check in and see if there are any suggestions for performing a test for verifying if excessive transients are present due to a potential lapse in stability over temperature of the circuit. 

I have recently designed the STEF01FTR into a design that sits on the main input rail. The input is specified to run from 9V-48V. As a result the output VClamp is set the 52V max by setting R122 to 560K and R126 to 10K. When our initial FAI boards arrived the STEF01 was clamping the output voltage to a maximum of 32V. I have attempted to increase the VClamp voltage by increasing R122 but that didn't seem to have any effect. I attempted to double both R122 and R126 and that also didn't have any effect. I decreased R122 to 200k and was able to drop the VClamp voltage but I can't seem to get it above 32V which seems to contradict the datasheet. Has anyone else experienced this behavior or have any ideas as to what could be causing this? This behavior is consistent across numerous boards and we are operating under very light loads currently.  

Hi I am using STCS1APUR to drive 10LEDS IR, (MTSM5116MT2-BK), circuit belowcurrent should be 1A as of f/b resistance, enable gets turn on as sson as the STM32 MCU comes up, supplying a 3.3VDC PWM though the MCUissue:the voltage drop across the led is only 0.6VDC, and they are dim, when checked the current , its less than 0.04A across the LEDSwhen there is no trigger there is a 4VDC deop cmpared to the +VLED(24VDC)i read the sheep twice and unable to figure out the issueon time is 250msec

Hi,I would like to use the VIPER319HDTR and would like to check the thermal to see if Tj will be an acceptable value.However, the switching losses of the internal FET are not mentioned. Dear STMicroelectronics Support Team, I have built a custom wireless charger based on the STEVAL-WBC2TX50 evaluation board, following the provided BOM and schematics. I successfully flashed the STSW-WBC2FW_V1300 firmware into the STWBC2-HP controller chip and connected to the STSW-WBC2STUDIO GUI to monitor system behavior. I understand that Qi 1.3 devices will not charge due to authentication requirements. However, I would like to confirm whether I should be able to charge Qi 1.2 and older devices (e.g., iPhone 11) since they do not require authentication. If I should be able the charge Qi1.2 devices, this suggests an underlying hardware issue in my design. Currently, the GUI event window continuously shows "ping_timeout" errors, as seen in the attached screenshot. Could you please provide guidance on potential causes and troubleshooting steps to resolve this issue? Thank you for your support.

Hello everyone, I'm looking for a Motor Driver IC and Motor Driver Evolution Board that can deliver 15 amps of continuous current. The VNHD7012AY Evaluation Board seems suitable for me, but will STM provide support in the future? Or are there any other driver development suggestions that would be comparable? In the meantime, I'll be driving the wiper motor. Thanks in advance.

I am trying to build a DCDC Converter with following conditionsVin: 400~600VDCVout: 12~15VDC(Isolation is not required)Current Rating: 100mA~300mA(Not really stricted)I can see DC application simple schematic at the first page of the datasheet for ViperPlus Family.However, every examples are AC Inputs with Full bridge Rectifiers.May I just skip the rectifiers use it for DC Application?I guess L,C are for noise filtering.All application notes are for AC DC Converter.  

Hi!I have an electric scooter that's a few years old, and I'm trying to find out if it's possible to use its charger for LiFePO4 batteries. The scooter's original batteries are two lead-acid units connected in series (24V total)The charger has the reference LT01. I opened the charger and noticed that the charging control IC is from ST. I couldn’t clearly make out the part number, but I believe it reads "324 MZNQ910".The charger specifies that it uses equal voltage charge and floating charge on its case. That is, the IC controls the charging up to a higher voltage level to desulfate the lead-acid batteries. After that, the charger maintains a less more stable floating voltage until it is disconnected from the scooter.LiFePO4 batteries require CC/CV charging, constant current and then constant voltage once the current drops near the end of the cycle. I want to know whether your IC also performs this type of charging so I can determine if it's suitable

Hi, I am having the same issue as this previous forum post, but the question was never answered.  Voltage and temperature sense give expected readings. REG_VOLTAGE_LOW: 29; REG_VOLTAGE_HIGH:6 --- VOLTAGE: 3818mVREG_TEMPERATURE_LOW: 186; REG_TEMPERATURE_HIGH:0 --- TEMP: 23 deg from the datasheet ---> current (mA) = current_code* 11.77 / Rsense (mΩ)REG_CURRENT_LOW: 203; REG_CURRENT_HIGH: 54 --- CURRENT: 15429mVWhere the actual current for my application is 2.5A. I am using a 10mOhm current sense resistor. Indeed a multimeter reveals 25mV drop across it.  Could somebody please tell me if this is a hardware issue? Hello expert,We are developing a product using STWLC38 and are currently trying to obtain FCC certification.In order to perform the test, the following is required by the testing agency.・To output a continuously ASK modulated signal. (We only use BPP)・To be able to perform the test on the receiver alone without the transmitter.Is it possible to fulfill those requirements?Also, if you have obtained FCC certification for STWLC38, how did you do it?I don't understand if there are settings that continuously output ASK modulated signal.Also, I think that STWLC38 cannot operate without a power transmitterbecause it has AC input pins but no dedicated power pin.I'd like to ask for your advice.Regards,Ryoma

Hi, We are working on LLC converter Vout=12V; Pout=100W. We are using SRK2000A IC at the output. We are facing some issues related to it. The IC behaves as expected while driving the load from 30% to 100%. But when we start reducing the load below 30% the IC starts skipping the gate pulses. Primary side we dont see burst mode operation. Attaching the waveforms for reference: 1. Full Load VGS and VDS waveforms; working as expected.   2

Several production-active STM products reference application note AN1965, e.g. referenced in STA540's datasheet ( https://www.st.com/en/audio-ics/sta540.html ). This application note seems to be about heatsink considerations. Application note AN1965 is not available from STM, nor anywhere else I searched.Can someone provide this application note?

Hey everyone,I am currently working on adding the STEF01 eFuse to my design and I have run into a roadblock. For starters, I can't seem to get the eval board to function. I have added the resistors to the board and I have a load on the output side but my power supply shows its still just an open circuit.  As for the design, my current specifications are as follows:Vin = 24V (+/- 1V)Ilimit = 4A (22Ω resistor)Auto-retry enabledEN/Fault = sent to 3.3V pin on microcontroller (using 20k|10k voltage divider)EN/Fault is also connected to the collector of an NPN transistor. (Base is also controlled by the microcontroller). I followed the datasheet and I believe I picked out the correct resistors for the Vclamp and UVLO.I chose 470k and 20k for both sides (around 25V and 23V respectively).The EN/Fault pin is something I am worried about.
