Hello ST community, I am working with the STM UM2458 inverter board (5 kW low-voltage, high-current inverter) using the STEVAL-CTM004V1 control board with SPC560P50L3 MCU. I am configuring the system in SPC5Studio, debugging with UDE STK, and using Motor Control Live Monitor for motor testing. My setup: Supply: DC source (up to 48 V) Gate driver: L6491D (configured as per UM2458 schematic) PWM inputs: HS_IN_PWM and LS_IN_PWM are driven correctly from MCU (checked with oscilloscope) Bootstraps and supply voltages (+12 V, +3.3 V) are present Motor: small BLDC A2212/13T 1000 kV for testing Problem: No switching observed at GATE_HS, SOURCE_HS, or GATE_HS outputs of the L6491D MOSFETs are tested OK with multimeter (no shorts) In Motor Control Live Monitor, I first saw “Speed feedback error”

Hello everyone,I would like to use the VND5T016ASP-E high-side driver in my design.For one board, I need to use 12 of these ICs.I have reviewed the application note; in your opinion, which configuration should I use for this IC to have fewer EMC issues?Also, would it be a problem if I share the FR_stby pins among these 12 ICs?Thank you.

The L6920DB temperature rating is not specified in the datasheet. However, it gives the temperature data as Max Tj=150C, Thermal resistance is 180C/W. Based on Tj=Ta+Pd*ThetaJa, if Ta=85C, then the Pd allowed in this temperature is very low. Is L6920DB rated temperature range specified as -45C to 85C?

Hello!I am attempting to charge a 3.7 V Li-ion battery using the SPV1050 on the STEVAL-ISV019V1 evaluation board, but there is a current coming from the battery into VBATT which ranges from 400 uA to 1 mA.The current remains even when no load is connected, and when a solar cell is connected to PV+. Additionally, the current remains when the battery is replaced with a 4 V voltage source in series with a 1 kOhm resistor.After reviewing the datasheet of the SPV1050 and the evaluation board, no components draw anywhere near this current so I suspect that my chip is damaged. However, the control logic and MPPT mechanism works perfectly fine so I am confused.I'd be very grateful if anyone could help!

Hello, I am trying to follow the Getting started with the STEVAL-WLC38RX document for FOD tuning attached. I am using STEVAL-WBC86TX, powered from a bench top PSU,  and STEVAL-WLC38RX, connected to an electronic load. Both are connected to the STMGUI. Following section 9.4 on page 60 of the above mentioned document. I have set all BPP FOD values to 0. When using the RX FOD tuning page, as per the document, the Prx value is being read correctly. However, the Ptx value is continuously reported as 1084. This value does not change despite and current draw increasing on the PSU.Why is it that the Ptx value is not changing?Kind regards,Lewis

I have some Pulse induction metal detector analog designs that I want to "digitalize" using a Stm32f407vet6 board. Unfortunately, these designs use the battery positive as ground. My intention is to power the Stm32 from the +5v rail of the detector power supply and then use logic in the Stm32 to generate the pulse timings and to read the preamp output with the ADC to check for metal detecting and eventually add some kind of discrimination logic.My problem is the detector design that uses VB+ as ground so how can I power the stm32 properly and also give the ADC correct vref ?I attached the pulse induction detector schematic I want to use as base and also the stm32f407vet6 schematic.Thanks for the help.

We are in need of an Isolated Flyback DC/DC Converter design to work with a 24 to 96V battery system. It is to be a 15-140V input to 12V output voltage and, 4-5A nominal 9A peak output current converter. We want to use the Würth transformer "749196547", for its ease on customization. Such as the option of paralleling all the secondary windings in order to reach the output current requirements.  We would appreciate any suggestions to help us best solve this design challenge. Such as the choice in using either a high voltage supply PWM controller or using one of the primary windings as auxiliary supply for the PWM controller. When measuring my VIPER267K flyback power supply, I noticed that the frequency and duty cycle of its VDS waveform kept jittering. Is this normal? What could be causing this?

Hello,I'm currently evaluating STEVAL-ISV020V1 using AN4397 and I'm not reading any voltages from both LDO outputs.Here's my setup:PV_in: 2.6-2.7 V PVBATT: 5v supercapSW1 and SW2 enabledI can confirm that the supercap is charging as STORE shows ~3.9-4V and BATT shows a gradually increasing voltage which reached >3.3V per my last test. SW1 and SW2 are enabled as both LDO_EN pins in CN3 show ~3.9-4V. UVP shows ~1.2-1.3V while EOC ~1V.However, I am not reading any values at all in LDO1 and LDO2 in CN2. Am I missing something in my setup?

I am testing the board with a 14s Li-ion battery, but I am unable to read the cell voltages or configure any register through the GUI. I shorted the X1 and P2 power supply inputs and supplied 12 V to both. This was the only setup in which I could get a green ACK indicator. The results were:Only cell 1 showed a voltage, but it was incorrect (5.8 V).When I try to write or read any register, I receive an ACK, but the register value does not remain as written.I also tried to connect VBAT (P2-15) to C14 (by soldering R22) and GND (P2-9 or 23) to C0, but in this configuration the device does not start and the D13 LED does not blink. I tried several times, resetting all the power supplies in different sequences, but I still could not communicate with the device.I have not been able to start the IC using only the battery or to read the correct voltage values. Any tips would be really appreciated.

We are currently using the L9305 IC to drive solenoid contactors in our project. The hardware configuration follows the specifications provided in the datasheet.We are able to communicate with the device via SPI and read all registers. However, we are facing the following issues:After initialization, the RES echo bit in the PINSTATUS register is reporting low from high, though we are pulling it high GPIO (also in scope it is reporting high)Other echo bits such as SAFETYn, FAULTn, and EN_DR are set high. The POR flag, SPI Timeout, VDD Under Voltage, and CP Under Voltage flags are set during initialization but are cleared in later stages. Yes, they are cleared after the first read. However, the faults related to POR, VDD Under Voltage, and CP Under Voltage are not reported again afterward.  I do not see the POR flag bei

Hi,Below is the setup I'm using. An SPV1040 connected to a small 2Vmp solar panel charges two 50F supercapacitors connected in series up to Vout = 4.8V. The design is taken from the AN3319 application note of the STEVAL-ISV006V2. Currently, I have many pcbs with this circuit working.So far the circuit does what it is supposed to do: charges the supercaps up to 4.8V using the energy harvested from the solar panel. I need some clarifications regarding the IC from STMicroelectronics: VN9E30FTR – 6-channel high-side driver with 24-bit SPI interface for traffic signal controller applications.  In the datasheet, it is mentioned that the internally limited current is 35A for channels IOUT0, IOUT1, IOUT2, IOUT3, IOUT4, and IOUT5. Could you please confirm: Whether this 35A limit is shared across all channels ? If possible, provide the maximum allowable current per channel in a tabular format for reference. Additionally, please advise if there are any precautions we need to take when switching the load per channel. The Lamp Driver IC which is being used in Traffic Signal Controller should be capable of driving a load current of at least 5A per channel when all channels are switched ON simultaneously: Channel 1 – 5A Channel 2 – 5A Channel 3 – 5A Channel 4 – 5A Channel 5 – 5A
