Power management

We are developing a wireless charger with additional wireless-to-USB gateway functionality. We have a design where we use the STWB2-HP as a wireless power transmitter - works fine most of the time. In parallel, we implemented an ESP32-S3 with BT and WiFi. We use a USB2 compatible USB-C connector.USB power is used for the whole system.CC lines are connected to the STWBC2-HP.Data lines are connected to the ESP32. On Windows and Linux machines, the data connection works as expected. The STWBC Studio interface reports USB-BC and USB-PD power modes at 5V, depending on the connected host devices. With a PD wall adapter, all power modes (PD: 5V, 9V, 20V) are available and charging works. However, when we connect our hardware to a MacOS machine (Macbook Pro M1 2021 or Mac mini), the device is visible for about 1 second and then disappears. Hello,I am working with these two IC's to try and create an SPI programable power distribution module. For the VNF9Q20F I understand that you set Inom and Tnom to get your desired curve. My question is how do you know what Tnom you would need to select for your application? I attempted to create an I2t graph based off the information from the datasheet but all it mentions is that the first step is 1.03 * Inom and the last step is 10*Inom but nothing in between those steps. Ideally I would like to obtain a graph similar to figure 7 from the datasheet and compare it to various wire gauges. The datasheet also briefly mentions the FIXED_DROP (table 12) but I do not understand what it is trying to represent.From this link (page 9), it mentions that there is an eFuse Simulator tool but I cannot seem to find it. https://www.st.co

Hi beloved friends of software architecture,i try to programm an SPI communication protocol of an STM32F373CCT6. It should communicate to the powerSTEP01 in order to move a motor. The problem is that i dont get any answer of the powerSTEP01. Did i do anything wrong with my SPI communication setup?I try to do so using the following conditions:Maximum clock speed of the SPI is 5 MHz, so i chose 1 MHz with a prescaler of 4 to the bitrate, so i am at 250 kBits/s.I use SPI Mode 0, so i trigger on the first rising edge. (clock polarity (CPOL) is set on low and clock phase (CPHA) is set on the first edge).The Datasize is configured to 8 bits.And i use the MSB (most significant bit) first as described in the powerSTEP01 datasheet.Also in the datasheet of the powerSTEP01 is that you have to pull down your CS pin of the powerSTEP01 and pull it back to high after each byte of transmision for at least 625 ns.The nSTBY

  Hello, we're using the EVSPIN32G4 ST evaluation board. in this evaluation Board design with two microcontrollers (stm32f103cbt6 for debugging and STSPIN32G4 for motor control). Unfortunately, the STM32f103cbt6 microcontroller has failed!! We bought a new Micro controller IC and repaired it. the board is now working. However, it does not communicate /debugging with the MCSDK and the motor pilot software! I think any software files for the default bootloader are missing. Please give me some suggestions and solutions. thanks

Hello! There is an IGBT driver in a motor controller: SIE20034. Manufactured by ST. It can be bought in online stores, but I can't find any information, description, foot distribution, anything about it anywhere in the world. How can this be? So how is it used? Could someone help me? 

During a short circuit of the ISO808 channel output (+28V) to ground, the fault status shows a voltage between 0.8V and 1.4V instead of 0V. When the short is removed, the fault status reads 3.3V. A 1k pull-up resistor is connected to the fault open-drain pin. Due to this voltage level, the microcontroller is unable to correctly detect the low state for fault status. how to get 0v on fault pin during the short circuit time.

Hi,I use the STWLC38 for wireless charging.Just set the BPP VOUT to 9V, and other REG is in default value.In test , the output current around 0.6A . (The chip emits a squealing sound)If I want to set the Rx to 15W, which REG I need to set. And I have a question about the RX LDO configuration in datasheet。 There is no detailed explanation regarding the threshold. How should these registers be configured?Thank you!

Hello, Recently, I purchased the STEVAL-SWLC38RXA and STEVAL-SWBC86TXA eval boards from Mouser. After some digging, I found the GUI and downloaded the STSW-WPSTUDIO v2.7.2. When I connect the RX board, I see the LED turn on. When I connect the SWBC86TXA to my PC and place the SWLC38RXA on top, the LED turns on, which tells me that the charging works. The issue is that when I connect the boards to my PC through a USB-A to USB-C cable, the GUI does not recognize the boards. I have noticed in previous posts regarding this topic that the board's name appears. I don't see anything (as shown in the figure below). When I click connect I see

Motor runs fine below 15kHz, but right around that frequency it starts losing synchronicity and stalls out. How do we prevent this problem? #stalling #l6474

I am working on L6474PD motor Driver.I could figure out that, if the  input is  between 8-48v  it would internally regulate the voltage and supply to the logic circuit of L6474PD , but my question is will the L6474PD independently drive the stepper motor or should i externally give the supply to stepper motors waiting for a detailed reply!!!
