Hello. I am using your STP45N FETs in our power supply design for an audio amplifier and we are getting field returns with the STP45N65M5 part damaged. It appears that the gate and source have been shorted but I am not 100% sure. Do you have any insight as to what may cause this or is there a facility where I can send a couple of these damaged FETs to get some failure analysis done? Thank you and please let me know what additional information you may need.

Hello,I am investigating in using L5970AD DCDC converter for a 12VDC to 3V3 need.It was advised to me by the ST DCDC online simulator.It's a 20 year old circuit but it it matches the budget, the additional BOM and the efficiency so I am interested.But I don't reach in answering some questions. If one of you can share some return of experience about this chip I am gladly listening.I am in design phase, looking datasheets, and except error I don't find my answers :- The VREF signal is noticed as 3V3. 3V3 is the output I want to create. On the Typical application schematic it seems not clear for me if connecting VREF to the output is okay, or if we need a precursor 3V3 ??? Should we supply a high impedance 3V3 from resistor divided input for example ? I couldn't reach advise about it, the is no paragraph about VREF. Is it an input or an output? What about generating 5V, do we need a 3V3 rail ? Also, even if switching frequenc

I'm attempting to use an LDL1117S12R_SOT223 as a current regulator as is shown in application notes for an LM1117 and many similar regulators but it is not working.  I have tried it with and without a 4.7uF capacitor across the current setting resistor but it does not work either way. I have R set to 3.4 ohms and with a load drawing 10mA I am dropping about 2.245V across the regulator and it has a 200mV down sloping sawtooth wave on the output. Should the LDL1117S12R_SOT223 work as a current regulator? If yes, can anyone please suggest the simplest circuit for current regulation? I don't need any precision. Thanks, Gbugh

Hello,I have some questions regarding programming the development kit. We have configured a BMS IC and MCU using a 3-cell setup based on the development kit circuit. Our circuit replicates the schematic and pin configuration of the L99615, connecting cells to pins Cell3 through Cell5.However, during testing with a cell simulator, we encounter an unknown fault that prevents us from performing charge/discharge tests. This fault does not match any described in the datasheet, so we are reaching out for assistance.In our program, we enabled OVC_Enable and CSA_Enable, but we observed that enabling OVC_Enable specifically seems to trigger an unknown fault.We would appreciate guidance on resolving this issue. If you look at the SPV1050 constraints item in 6.4 MPPT Setting in the SPV1050 Datasheet, it is clearly stated that Vmpp(max) should not be applied over 2.1V.However, looking at an4397 (Application Note), even if Vin (Range: 2.6V ~ 9V) is more than 5V, more than 2.1V is applied to the Vmpp Pin.Does it matter if more than 2.1V is applied to the Vmpp Pin?

Are curves available for 4, 5, 6 AMPS?

I am trying to design a current limiting circuit at 110vDC.(Range 90-140)Need to limit the current at 2A and provide short protection on the line.Is there any ST mosfets which can help acheive this requirement.Or I am wondering if there is any reference design which can help us to quickly achieve this.

I'm currently building a level shifter and I'm planning to use two drivers of type VNQ7140AJ on the output side. However, I still have several questions about these drivers Description of the project:The level shifter will be located in an industrial control cabinet and will convert 3.3V CMOS signals from a RPi to 24V. I'm not 100% sure about the consumers it will need to handle, but It will mostly be mechanical relays, signal lamps and illumination. Usage of PWM signals isn't planned and conversion from 24V to 3.3V isn't supported. Also, I won't use the driver's diagnostic functions.I'm aware that there is an evaluation board for this driver (https://www.st.com/resource/en/data_brief/ev-vnq7140aj.pdf). However, it seems to be equipped for every case imaginable and probably has way more components than I need.

Hello, I'm part of my universities Formula SAE team at The Milwaukee School of Engineering. We design a prototype single seater formula race car with a parallel hybrid powertrain. I was looking at using the product mentioned for power regulation on one of our embedded projects to go onto the car. As part of my analysis for this project, I was hoping to simulate these products with a SPICE simulation software. When I downloaded this spice file for the A5975D, we were not able to import it because it looks like the .lib file is encrypted. I understand this is probably to keep proprietary information about the device hidden from others. It looked like there was a way to import the file into orCAD, however that is not a software we have the resources to access. Is there a way we can import a SPICE file for this device into LTSPICE or NI Multisim? Thanks for your help.

Hello.To use STEVAL-DPSLLCK1, I am reading user manual(UM2348).Table 1 says that the resonant frequency is 175kHz,but Table 8 says that C39,C110 and C130 are 18nF,and the leakage inductance of T3 (Lr) is 20.32uH.From table 8 values Cr=54nF and Lr=20.32uH,If I calculate, the resonant frequency is 152kHz.Please teach me the reason of the difference of the values,175kHz and 152kHz.

Hi all,Since the TSC1641 is just a monitor (it doesn’t drive any current), I assume the internal temperature sensor is meant to measure the temperature of something nearby.In this application, I was thinking the shunt resistor could be placed on the opposite PCB layer to allow the sensor to "read" the shunt resistor's temperature.Does this assumption make sense? I couldn't find any guidance on this in the datasheet.Regards,AGA

Dear allI would like design a circuit for AC/DC conversion of a 3 phase AC voltage with different frequency and different amplitude. The input power of the circuit can be changed form 4W up to 300W. Actually, circuit input is generated by a output of a 3 phase generator which is linked to a small wind turbine, so its frequency and output voltage varies considerably. Maximum output voltage is about 36v.I appreciate it if you instruct me for using the ST parts (power modules) similar to VIPER31.Best regardsAmin

Hello,I am currently working on the implementation of the STWBC86 chip, following the STEVAL-WBC86TX as a guide. If we want to develop a PCB with the STWBC86 chip, is it possible to load the initial configuration by connecting the PCB via I2C with a USB converter to the computer? Or is external hardware, such as the STM32 development board, required to load the configuration onto our PCB?Thank you in advance for your attention.

Hello, We are evaluating the STEVAL-STPM801 board, testing the STPM801 as integrated hot swap, soft start and oring protections device. On the EVAL board the TM pins with nrs: 8, 13, 14, 27, 28, 29 are equipped with jumpers to select pull-up or pull-down, while in the datasheet of the STPM801 those pins must be connected to GND.Also in the datasheet there is in chapter 5.1.5 STAND-BY mode enter/exit, in several graphs a pattern given for ENABLE-IN. I can not find the ENABLE pin. However, on the EVAL board the signal connected to pin nr 8 in that figure 1 has the name TM_EN_1/2. The TM lines are also feed to a jumper (e.g. JP17) with signal names like SPI1_*. The difference between the Eval board and the datasheet makes it confusing. Which pin is the Enable pin (mentioned in
