There is confusion about resistor values on input voltage divider.According to datasheet voltage on MPP pin should be lower than 2.1 V (Vuvp - 0.1V)In application note AN4397 you used UVP set by resistors R4, R5, R6? Which value should be used?

Hi Team, We are using this STP24DP05 (24-bit constant current LED sink driver with output error detection) IC for a X*Y array of diodes to get high or low. The IC is interfaced with microcontroller using SDI pin of STP24DP05. We have some doubts kindly check- 1. How will the serial pin data transfers to  outputs R/G/B pin? does R1 , G1 & B1 gets data first then it goes to next R2,G2,B2? or it will first give data to R1-R8 then to next 8 bits goes to G1-G8 like that.  2. Is LE/DM pin working as reset to all the pins? does the outputs of STP24DP05 gets refreshed when LE/DM is pulled down? 3. Can we keep OE pins as grounded ?   

Hi Everyone,    I'm working on VNF9Q20F and VNF9D5F , I have an issue where I can’t control OUT (ON/OFF) BY SPI or by DIO .    Once the VNF is in normal mode. Below are the commands which are I ‘m sending:  0x0h: 0x0 0x00 0x3F 0xF1, 0x03h: 0x0 0x03 0x3F 0xF1, 0x13:  0x0 0x13 0x0F 0x00, 0x0B: 0x0 0x0B 0x1F 0xF4, 0x08h: 0x0 0x08 0x1F 0xF4, DIO: 0, DIO 1.    Even after sending the above commands, out control is not possible. 

Good morning,I'm currently using the STC3115 in my application for estimating the SOC of a 1000mAh LiPo battery.The application drain a quite costant current, between 20 and 25mA, so the coulomb counter should be an easy approach for monitoring the SOC. For that reason the STC3115 has been configured with a relax current lower than 10mA.Unfortunately the SOC estimation apparently is not reliable: during a long period discharge phase, the SOC decreases faster than expected and, moreover, below 50% it increases the descending slope. for comparison, I used the current value provided by the same component for implementing a pure coulomb counter and the behaviour is completely different, despite the original data (i.e. the current) is the same. The figure represents the two SOC estimations (STC3115 and pure coulomb counter).

Hi together, ive read in the Datasheet that the STC3100 can be calibrated.The GG_CAL Bit (Bit 3 in REG_MODE @ Adress 0) can be set to short the analog Inputs together, allowing to compensate for Offset Errors.But how do i have to use this Bit? Just set it and wait for it to be cleared by Hardware? Or do i have to manually read the Current Register and write that Value somewhere else? What is the SPV1040 MPPT Charger's light load efficiency? In my application, the power from the Solar Panel goes down to 10mW. So, I'm interested, to know the output of SPV1040T when the input power is only several mW.  From the datasheet, my application falls into the first row except the PIN is 10mW.      

Hi all,I connected my SPV1050 chip as you can see in the picture and started to measure my circuit. It looks pretty good. I powered it up with 3.3V at IN_LV. And I can measure a voltage of about 2.416V at the STORE pin. And even the LDO2_EN pin got a 2.412V, but at the LDO2 pin there is nothing. Does anyone have any idea why this might be the case? Even when I connect the Battery, nothing changes.

Hello;I hope you are doing well. I have IO board on which L9848TR is connected which is controlling 8 LEDs , those LEDs are connected in active low configuration. I need to create low at the out pins of L9848TR to turn on those LEDs. L9848TR operates with SPI chip select (Active High). I checked my hardware board manually everything is working fine. It really is the issue with accessing the L9848TR with my main CPU. it should have been straightforward thing. but its just not working. I am attaching my sample code. please check if someone can help me what I am doing wrong here. or if someone already worked with this before share your experience or some sample code of writing/sending a byte to L9848TR. Hello, I have a simple circuit with an STNS01 charging a 150mAh single cell battery and am using the LDO to power an STM32F042 and a couple of other small devices. It mostly seems to work OK, however if I pull the SD line high using the micro (or an external short to the 3.1V LDO output), the output of the LDO drops to 1.28V, rather than zero. Some devices on the LDO output can still operate at this voltage so the drain on the battery doesn't drop to the <500nA mentioned in the datasheet, instead I'm seeing a battery draw of ~550uA. I'm not sure why the LDO isn't being fully disabled.If I unplug the battery and reconnect it the current draw drops down to about 10nA so I'm sure the STNS01 is capable of fully disabling the LDO, but for some reason it isn't.In a test I set all the signals in the attached schematic (nCHARGE, CHARGE_EN, SHUTDOWN, BATT_SENSE and nSENSE_EN) to High-Z and then used a jumper on J3 to short SHUTDOWN to 3V3 (actually 3V1, just mis-labled). I have attached the Actual Circuit as image. We have gone for flybuck topoogy.Input VBus = 335VDC. We require 15VDC, 600mA for Load Requirements. (9W Least Requirement)As per datasheet VIPER319HDTR is capable of delivering 19W. We designed the PCB Board and While testing we found that IC is not giving required Vout for current more than 0.25A (4.25W).Our Readings below15Vout, 114mA - We get stable 15Vout. Works fine without problem.15Vout, 209mA - We get stable 15Vout. Works fine without problem.15Vout, 283mA - Vout fluxtuates approx. at 10V for 2min, Some sparkle buzz sound heard during that 2 min. (This unstable state exists for random time 1 to 2 mins). Then Vout comes to the stable 15V without any noise. We tried several trials. Consistently we are facing same problem.We don't want Vout to fluctuate.Can you help us debug the issue. Recommend favourable changes.Note: I also connected Pin 2, 4 to GND (Pin 1)

I am using Simlis to carry out a simulation of AN5797 1KW bridgeless CCM-PFC pre-regulator based on the L4986A IC, I have built up the circuit, but it does not simulate and produces an error The voltage and currents of this circuit cannot be uniquely solved.  I am unsure what is causing this error.  The part is downloaded from ST.  I have broken the design down by removing the L4986A and the positive & negative voltage sensing section that is driving VGS1-4 seems to give the expected gate control signals when GD is driven with a 68kHz square wave, but when the L4986A is added in it stops simulating, I have attached my simplis schematic.  I have contacted Simplis and they are unable to find out what is wrong.Do ST have .a functioning SIMPLIS schematic for the AN5797 bridgeless PFC shown in your application.Look forward to hearing from you.RegardsIan

Hi.I am using the L6599AD without PFC.When a latched shutdown occurs, the reset condition requires VCC power to fall below UVLO.I'm using an offline high voltage buck ic to make 15V for the VCC power.The problem here is that the L6599AD has a small current draw when it is in the shutdown state.Even when the AC is turned off, it takes a long time for the voltage charged on the capacitors of the high-voltage buck IC to drop below the UVLO.I don't know of any way to disable the L6599AD's latch.What I want is for the L6599AD to release the latch when the AC is turned off and then turned on immediately.Is there a good way to do this? 

Hi!I'm designing a BMS for 96 cells in total, but divided in 24 cells per board.So I'm thinking two L9963E on board, and then boards connected together with inductive isolation.But inside board capacitive isolation would be enough, between the two chips. However this case is not covered in the datasheets or application notes. Does L9963E work with inductive isolation in one direction, and capacitive in the other?My main concern is the VCOM pin, which is documented differently for capacitive and inductive isolation... So how should it be if upstream and downstream have different config? 

Hi,I'm facing some really weird problem with STC3100. After powerup I try to enable operating mode by writing 0x10 value (GG_RUN bit) to register REG_MODE at address 0x00. I2C address is 0x70 as default. STC3100 sends ACK for I2C address, also for register address, but NEVER for data byte, i.e. I never get last ACK. I tried to change clock frequency 10KHz/100KHz/400Khz without any success. How that can be?Same magnified:

Hi everyone, I am trying to establish communication between the L9663 and an airbag sensor using PSI5. However, the behavior I observe on the oscilloscope is shown in the picture, with ramps instead of clear pulses. Since PSI5 uses the same wire to send both data and power, I split the line into two at the beginning of my setup. Whenever I disconnect the “VDD line,” the signal is transmitted correctly (no ramps). What could be the problem? Has anyone encountered a similar issue? Additionally, I should be able to see the sensor’s response on the DOUT line, but I don’t see anything (DOUT is set to 0 as direct data output by default). Thank you in advance.

Hello,We are designing in this part on a new board and I am trying to find out if the factory vanilla part is shipped with working firmware or not? I have not been able to find any definitive information on this. I would generally expect a part like this to function in a default mode with default settings out of the box (and on the board). Then, if we want to tune the settings, we just connect with STSW-WPSTUDIO and calibrate that way. If this is not the case, we decide how we are going to pre-program the parts.Thank you in advance,eedesignguy
