Platform: macOS 11.7.10 (BigSur)   I wanted to try out the recently announced STM32Cube plugin for VSCODE. Did so but from my understanding I have to install/configure STM32CubeCLT within VSCODE. Not knowing whether I had installed it with STM32CubeIDE already I downloaded the package (again?). After the installation had run  successfully I went into VSCODE to configure STM32CubeCLT.An installation directory has to be specified. I have no idea, where this directory can be found. Can anyone help?

Hello,I am planning to develop a small low-power wearable device using the STM32WB05KNV6TR.My goal is to use the STM32WB05KNV6TR as a standalone MCU while implementing BLE communication.From what I have found, this IC seems to be often used only for BLE communication, so I would like to clarify a few points:Can the STM32WB05KNV6TR be used as an MCU that runs logic using peripherals such as ADC and SPI, while also handling BLE communication at the same time?If it is possible, which development board would be suitable for testing the STM32WB05KNV6TR before hardware development?I purchased the NUCLEO-WB05KZ board, but it seems to be in a module form (around 20x10 mm in size) instead of just the IC. Is this normal, or did I purchase the wrong version?On the other hand, the IC on the STM32WB5MM-DK Discovery Kit looks like an appropriate size. Would this board be a good option to use?Thank y

Has anyone had success with the CMSIS-DSP arm_rfft_q31 or other of the M55 HELIUM MVEI/MVEF enabled CMSIS-DSP functions on the STM32N6? Is there a functional FFT example or STM32CubeMX project available? The STM32N6 FE 1.2.0 example CORTEX-HELIUM does not seem to utilize CMSIS-DSP.Whenever I try to utilize the CMSIS-DSP FFT-functions, I am experiencing hard fault when entering the arm_rfft_q31, function, if the M55 HELIUM MVEI/MVEF support is enabled.My FSBL project builds successfully and I am currently using ARM_MATH_AUTOVECTORIZE as a temporary solution, with limited performance.Please let me know for working examples, tips, or known caveats of using CMSIS-DSP with HELIUM MVEI/MVEF on STM32N6. I am looking for proof, that the STM32N6 MVEI and MVEF are functional and supported with CMSIS-DSP. I'm running the CubeMX-generated lwIP implementation on an STM32H723. Memory addresses and configuration has been modified according to what is described at https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus/how-to-create-a-project-for-stm32h7-with-ethernet-and-lwip-stack/ta-p/49308Now when running this implementation, I stumble upon different illegal memory accesses where data is located in memory areas outside of the addresses of range 0x30000200 .. 0x30000200+32232.This happens more or less randomly. When I add some own address-checks at one position in code to ensure a pointer is in that area, lwIP crashes at an other position. So this looks like some memory leak or some other fundamental problem.Next I enabled MEMP_SANITY_CHECK in lwIP settings to track down these problems. W

Hello, I am using p-nucleo-wb55. I have a code with an RTC alarm interrupt triggered every 5 seconds. In the ISR, I set a sequencer task that sends a message via BLE. I have enabled the LPM as I want the MCU to enter sleep mode while it isn't working and only wakeup with the RTC alarm. I realized that the MCU doesn't stay in the sleep mode and when I debug, I realized that it wakes up so fast as the IPCC RX Interrupt is triggered continuously with high frequency.How can I control this, knowing that I don't need the MCU to do any task through those 5 seconds, I just want it to sleep and wakeup only after 5 seconds. We programmed the ST25DV16 tag using the antenna and the GUI using the ST25R3919B. However, when we use the android apps to read the ST25DV16 tag its not getting read. The android apps read all the other tags of 13.56 mHz available in the market, but not ST25DV16 tag. We are also able to charge the small battery of 24mAh connected to the ST25DV16 tag using the ST25R3919B as poller. This tag is read using the GUI and the EVK of ST. How to make it work and be read by the android phone?

 I am facing a strange issue that looks like a possible microcontroller design/behavior problem.My setup:I need the DAC output pin to provide a stable voltage while the microcontroller is in STOP2 sleep mode with the RTC running.Power connections: Vbat, Vdda, and Vref are connected to Vdd.An additional external supervisor is used: MCP130T-270I/TT.Problem description:Initially, everything works fine — the DAC output stays at the expected voltage in STOP2 mode.However, after a BOR (Brown-Out Reset) occurs, the behavior changes: when the microcontroller enters STOP2 mode, the DAC output pin drops to 0V.After this happens:Resetting the microcontroller does not fix it.Power-cycling the device also does not fix it.

Hello,We wanted to replace an M24M01-DFCS6 memory (1 Mbit) with an M24M02E-F (advertised as 2 Mbit) available in a WLCSP5 package.After starting the driver implementation, we realized that the sections “Device Type Identifier”, “Configurable Device Address”, “Software Write Protection”, and “Identification Page Lock” occupy more than 1 Mbit…Is there actually a way to access the full 2 Mbit of this memory for data storage?I feel like I've been misled...Thanks

Hello, I am currently trying to measure the temperature using the internal temperature sensor of STM32F765. The Reference Manual stated to do temp = ((V_sense - V_25) / Avg_Slope) + 25,but the address of calibration data existed in the Datasheet.In this case, what formula should be used to measure temperature? In my circuit, VDDA is connected to 3.3V, VREF+ is connected to 3.0V and ADC is set to 10bit resolution.Additionally, I referred to RM0410 Reference Manual and STM32F765xx Datasheet.

Hello,I'm hunting a bug probably caused by a race condition running multiple tasks and IRQ handlers under FreeRTOS on a STM32H75x MCU.My code shall run a task after (DMA-) IRQ has fired using the Deferred Interrupt Handling method shown in this example   using the CMSIS2 RTOS API. Hi all,we are designing a product based on a STM32U083. The device is battery powered (not removable) and it can remain in storage for at least 2 years. To reduce battery drain we are putting the mcu in shutdown mode to then wake him up via a button connected to one of the defined wakeup pin. We already implmeneted/tested this mechanism and it works great but we were asking ourselfs if it is reliable and if it will still work correctly even if the device remain dorment for 2 years.Can you please provide some confirmation or additional information about our concernings? Thank you.Stefano

I wrote this maybe it helps somebody.My software system is running on ubuntu 24-04 which crashed when I attemped to upgrade.I found the IOC would not render at all.Long story short I could create an MX project and the IOC was created correctly but when I transitioned to the cube IDE the IOC would not render.I found this! I got java lang issues and eclipse editor issues than looking in more detail Iistening on port 41 which seemed to get no response. The rendering hung with no response - is the eclipse https site there?This I then moved to a virtual machine so I could keep resetting after a crash.Well I turned off the network so it now had no network connection and I got a message about the keeping it online for a better experience. Well in preferences there is also an offline checkbox - enable that and now my IOC's render fine.This is Cube IDE 1.19

CubeIDE, P-Nucleo STM32WB55 I have a BLE project that works, it sends data from 2 temperature sensors & 2 accelerometers (x, y & z for each)Within Cube I copied the project then pasted with a new name.Added some code to take 1000 samples of the accelerometer data and calculate the mean for each axis on each sensor. That's the only addition to the code, everything else is exactly the same.Compiles & gets on the board with no issues.Check the serial debug, all senors up & running, averaging is working just fineThe device just doesn't show up when scanning BLE devices. Revert to previous project & there it is advertising as it should. reflash.... nope no such device.What's going on there?

I updated to CubeMX 6.13.0 and firmware package 1.12.0 for and STM32H755BIT chip and found several issues with the new release:Where is it documented that the new ExitRun0Mode() requires 'USE_PWR_LDO_SUPPLY" to be defined if I want to use that mode?  Shouldn't it be defined by CubeMX when the power parameters are selected in the RCC section?If I am using the Voltage regulator in the LDO supply mode (see RM0399, p 274, Fig. 22, Section 1), what is the purpose of defining SMPS in line 217 of stm32h755xx.h?  In line 440 of system_stm32h7xx_dualcore_boot_cm4_cm7.c the define of SMPS is used to disable the SMPS - shouldn't the define be used to enable the SMPS?Worst issue:  The clock rates returned from PCLK function calls shown below are now showing 240 MHz!  This has messed up the USARTs and all the timers. Hi, I am working on a project with the STM32H730. In order to make full use of the onboard memory I have the project set up to load some objects into DTCMRAM. This works, however the binary size is huge, like 403 MB, and subsequently is crashing cube programmer:It seems like something is going wrong here and a huge amount of unnecessary information is getting stored in the binary file. Can you recommend a way to fix this while still using DTCMRAM for data?Here is the DTCMRAM section of my linker file, and how I am allocating objects to DTCMRAM:

HiI am trying to perform a secure boot implementation in STM32F439ZIT6. The datasheet shows that, there is Hash, RNG, AECS and TDES. Can I perform secure boot functionality using only STM32F439ZIT6 without using any external chip and if so, are there any library files which contain functions to perform this secure boot operation and is there any application notes, example codes or videos I can refer to perform this functionality? Thanks and Regards@avbST
