STM32 MCUs

Hello dear community!I've migrated from F7 to H7, everything fine so far.To save CPU time I don't want to use HAL for sending two SPI bytes.My F7 transmit SPI code was very simple and perfectly working :SPI6->DR = byte_0; SPI6->DR = byte_1;But on the H7, the same code doesn't work :SPI6->TXDR = byte_0; SPI6->TXDR = byte_1;In both F7 and H7 projects, this is always working (but time-consuming) :HAL_SPI_Transmit(&hspi6, const_cast<uint8_t*>(buffer), 2, 1000);Do you know why bypassing HAL is not possible on the H7 ?Thanks!Jean

Hello All,I am working on a custom project using STM32C011J6/SO8.I was trying to use PIN4 as ADC with 3 differents states but once I connect to GND, mcu resets. So now, I have no access to the mcu via Debugger because I set NRST_MODE in Option bytes to : 0x10 only internal RESET is possible.My questions:- Is there a way to recover it knowing that I tested and I can't access system memory.- I am using all the 6 pins (4 ADCs and 2 Outputs). I upgrade my project recently to the above firmware (STM32Cube FW_WL V1.5.0)  which ended up not working.Lots of errors, I think mostly because of the introduction of the relay node.After a couple of days trying to get this working I started a fresh project from CubeMX and this did not compile into the STM32WLE5CB. Any idea on what the issue could be?

Hello, Is it possible to use two OSPI with below configuration.  I can make this configuration in cubeMx but whiel debugging ospi1 is not working after ospi2 initialize.

Goal boot from a Quad SPI flashI shouldn't need to change any OTP settings.  Any sNor flash chip connected to XSPIM_P2 that can operated in single spi mode can be booted off from? From my understanding if we want to make a dev board and use a different external memory that is not Octo SPI flash but just Quad SPI flash we shouldn't have to change any of the OTP registers.  SinceIn sNor flash it starts in single spi modeThen in your FSB you can configure the SPI to your given device(From my understanding)There are no OTP registers for Nor flash settingsThese are all setup in the ROMChanging OTP 11 bits (5-8) would force us to loose the ability of Dev up (From my understanding) Most of this info is from theHow to proceed with boot ROM on STM32N6 MCUs

Hi everyone,I’m working on a battery monitoring prototype using an STM32F303. I’m measuring multiple analog voltages using the internal ADC with DMA. The ADC readings fluctuate by ±20 counts whenever the PWM output for the buck converter is enabled.I already added averaging in firmware, but the noise is still visible. The analog input traces are routed near the switching MOSFET area on the PCB.My questions:Is this more likely caused by ADC sampling timing or switching noise coupling?Would increasing ADC sample time help in this case?On the PCB side, should I separate analog and power ground planes or just improve return current paths?

Hi everyone,I have a screen project displaying a camera image using an STM32N6. I've validated and run several peripherals like DCMIPP and DMA2D. I'm currently displaying a 720x576 resolution image from DCMIPP on the screen via layer 2 using bitmap addressing.My question is: Since I'm using internal RAM, Touchgfx uses one layer, and one layer is used for the camera. Because I'm not processing any bitmaps and need space, I've significantly reduced the size of the cmd_list area. After adding all this, I have about 300kB of free RAM left.Now, what I need is to be able to see this camera image in full size on my 1024x600 px screen. However, I want to know if this enlargement is possible and if it requires a cmd_list, i.e., vector graphics.Will I use vector graphics for this? Will GPU2D use the RAM allocated for layer 2 for this operation, or will it require an additional amount of RAM equal to the screen size? Best Regards,Onur

We are currently using LPTIM1 to measure the time period. As this operation needs to be performed frequently, we are using the following APIs:   HAL_LPTIM_TimeOut_Stop_IT(&hlptim1) HAL_LPTIM_TimeOut_Start_IT(&hlptim1, 0xXXXX, 0xXXXX)   During this process, the LPTIM_Disable() function temporarily disables all interrupts using PRIMASK while waiting for the LPTIM_FLAG_ARROK and LPTIM_FLAG_CMPOK flags.   This global interrupt masking is causing data loss on LPUART1, which is operating at 115200 baud. As a result, we are encountering ORE (Overrun Error) due to missed UART interrupts.   Given this behaviour, we would like your guidance on the following:   Is it safe to modify the LPTIM_Disable() implementation by removing or commenting out the PRIMASK-based global interrupt disable? AS THIS BOARD HAVE ETHERNET IC LAN8742A-CZ-TR WHICH HAVE BOTH MII,RMII PROTOCOLS.AS I HAVE SEEN SOME VIDEOS ON ETHERNET FOR DIFFERENT STM32 CONTROLLER IN RMII, I M NOT ABLE TO GET RESULT.  I WANTED TO KNOW DO THIS BOARD CONFIGURE IN RMII, IF YES THEN TELL ME HOW I CAN DO. It looks like I have the 32F469IDISCOVERY board that looks to be powered ok via USB connector CN13, however the board doesn't appear to have demo software preloaded. COM LED LD6 flashes red. I note on the ST website that there is the 32F469IDISCOVERY compiled demo binary, which I have downloaded. The Readme says: The QSPI external flash loader is not integrated with supported toolchains, it ís only supported withSTM32 ST-Link Utility V3.7 or later. But the ST website says that the ST-Link Utility is NRND and to use STM32CubeProg instead. I've tried the latest version of STM32CubeProg and it can't connect to the board via USB: Error: Establishing connection with device failed. What is the best way of programming the board with this file please? Kind regards, Al

I have created a project with a scroll wheel of 10 items, each item is displaying a single digit 0-9. Imagine an odometer for instance.  I am incrementing a variable(num) every second and usingscrollWheel.animateToItem(num, 20);to scroll through the list of items, it is working as expected until it gets to 9. Instead of it the scroll wheel continuing to rotate the same direction to 0 it reverses the direction of rotation and scroll past all other digits to get back to zero.  I have verified I have the scroll wheel set as "Circular" and it does indeed display the scroll wheel correctly as if it was circular.  Can I somehow change this behavior?

Hi all.I'm new to STM, but have been designing and making embedded MCU products for over ten years.I was drawn to the STM32F105 series because of the USB DFU, to allow for field updates for prospective customers to update a product we're developing. Outside of USB DFU functionality, we just need 3x UART's, one GPI, one GPO. That's it. We steer clear of USART1 because of it's overlap with OTG_FS pins. We have got our product working using a ST-Link programmer, but not as yet using the USB DFU.Our USB connection just isn't enumerating. The wiring is correct when compared to off-the-shelf STM32 enabled boards with OTG USB interfaces.I am across the date code bootloader issue as described in AN2606, our chips definitely come with bootloader 2.2. I have VBUS from the USB-C tied to PA9 (OTG_FS_VBUS). Yes, USB-C but with the 5.1K resistors between CC1, CC2 and GND. NRST is pulled to 3V3 with a 10K pull-up. Hello,I am using STM32H750 and X-Cube-Crypto lib. I am working on a secure boot and want to calculate the app Hash value to check integrity. The library works fine for STM32L5 Mcu (Already tested) but not with STM32H750. I verified that I am using the correct lib libSTM32Cryptographic_CM7.a.The issue I get is a Hardfault triggered by a function in the lib. When I investigated more, I found that The Mcu tries to load data from a Peripheral Register not mapped for STM32H750 MCU.What do yo think could be the issue? Thanks,Ayoub 

Stm32l010r and s2lp using x cube sub ghz , for custom board just for coding only gpio button status, there are plenty of error, by solving all those 4-5 errors remain and their resolving method is to complete change of middleware files or some code left in file even check through free AI they finally there no such files in middleware add some, for adding it will not compatible with existing file. If tried in stm32wl33cc it also shows so many error but finally there something missing. There are some radio.spi.h and some similar files there in s2lp nucleo example in spirit 2 workshop project, but in s2lp middleware they are not available and look like board specific. If any available example and transmitting and receiving data for s2lp and stm32wl33cc.

Hello STM32 Community, I am facing a persistent "Target no device found" error when trying to program an STM32L073CZT3 custom board using a Nucleo-L073RZ as an external ST-LINK (CN2 jumpers removed). Hardware Setup: MCU: STM32L073CZT3 (custom PCB) Debugger: ST-LINK V2-1 (Nucleo-64) Connection: 5-wire SWD (SWDIO, SWCLK, GND, NRST, VDD_Sensing) Power: External SMPS providing 3.3V (Common Ground established between SMPS and ST-LINK).
