STM32 MCUs

Hello! This is my first post here. I'm currently designing a DIY loop pedal for guitar, which basically records samples of audio and plays them in loop.I'll be using a STM32H743VIT6, embedded on a WeActStudio dev board. The audio CODEC is the PCM3060. I'm aiming for 24bits resolution with 44.1kHz sample rate, 256Fs.I don't know much about I2S in general, so this is what I've pictured: I should setup the ST as master full-duplex, so it can receive from the CODEC and transmit to the CODEC at the same time (the looped audio, when it has finished recording). This is what I've setup so far on CubeIDE:

Hello,i am trying to implement Openamp to in a project with touchgfx. In the beginning i started with openamp and it worked. M7 was the master, M4 the slave and i had a working implementation. It turned out that encoders etc are better handleled on the M7 near touchgfx so alot of the project was rewritten. What i added is 8 AD converter with 200kHz sampling frequency which is handled by DMA. 32kB of the D2 Ram where reserved and protected by the MPU. Since i want to calculate a fft, the ad samples get copied to the dtcmram which is i also added in the linker file. Since the M4 now only handles the network communication, it seemed better suited as the master for openamp. It can initiallice OPENAMP while touchgfx is busy setting up everything else and then starts a task to join as slave. I couldnt get it to work. I always got hard faults. I changed it back to the same configuration as it was before but i cant get it to work. There is a hardf fault every time the M4 try to init

When initialising a UART using CubeMX generated code, either the receiver or transmitter or both are enabled. Typically that means that before receiving data with the UART for the first time, the RDR register should be cleared (or the RXFRQ function used), to clear out any junk that got read during boot. But if using DMA RX mode I've discovered an extra consideration - if an error is received before calling HAL_UART_Receive_DMA() for the first time, the error handler will be called. The default HAL_UART_IRQHandler() (at least in stm32u5xx_hal_uart.c) aborts the DMA RX on error (regardless of the DDRE setting). So the user is required to restart if necessary.   This leads to

Hello, I'm using an STM32C011J6M6 with the Arduino IDE to register with theST25DV64KC-IE6S3 's EEPROM. I previously used the ATTiny85 and would like to replace it with the STM32C0 to maintain the entire solution with ST components. I made some changes to the code but I can't register with the SDA/SCL of the STM32C0. According to the datasheet, I should use pin 8 as SCL and pin 1 as SDA, but the registration with the EEPROM isn't working, I tested the eeprom address with ATTiny85 and it is 0x53In the project with the ATTiny85, I didn't need to declare the terminal to perform this registration. Hi,I'm using STM32G071RBT6 microcontroller where I need the fastest ADC time sampling as possible. I'm sampling 12 ADC channels. One of them is Vbat.According microcontroller datasheet "5.3.22 Vbat monitoring characteristics", the minimum ADC sampling time when reading the VBAT should be ts_vbat = 12us. This is a limitation for my application and I would like to reduce this time. My questions are:1. What is the technical reason for this minimum ts_vbat = 12us, while others like "ts_temp" or "ts_vrefint" have much lower values?2. Are there any workaround to reduce this time?3. Which could be the impact in the "Error on Q" if we configure in our application the ts_vbat = 10us? Thanks in advance,Marco. 

Hi,We are trying to setup the GPIO pins for measuring TouchGFX performance. We have defined user labels to GPIO pins as instructed in TouchGFX documentation: https://support.touchgfx.com/docs/development/touchgfx-hal-development/scenarios/scenarios-measure-performance. But so far the only GPIO that is doing anything is the RENDER_TIME signal. The rest of the signals are at 0V. I verified with the debugger that the only pin that is being driven is the RENDER_TIME GPIO in the file TouchGFXGPIO.cpp in the function void GPIO::set(GPIO_ID id). This function is only called with the GPIO_ID of GPIO::RENDER_TIME.What are we missing in the configuration? We are using freertos in this system.

Hi,I'm using TIM1 in Encoder mode while running ThreadX in the program in STM32H523. I encountered an issue where TIM1→CNT only toggles between 0 and 1 when rotating the encoder. However, when I deactivated ThreadX, the encoder worked fine. I haven't enabled TIM1 interrupts and am only reading the register periodically. Where could the conflict between ThreadX and the TIM1 Encoder be?

Hi,Currently, we are working on the IO-EXPANDER (PCA9505DGGY) via I2C communication. We are using Standard mode (100 kHz).Whenever we try to communicate with the slave device, the SDA line remains idle, and I can only see three clock pulses on the SCL line at all times. Please refer to the attached image for the SCL reference.Note: In the image, the line markup name is incorrect—it is labeled as SDA, but it is actually SCL.

Hello,on the STM32H7S78-DK board only USB2 (=USB-FS) can be used to connect the board to a PC and flash the firmware via USB-DFU because only PM11 and PM12 are supported by the internal USB-DFU bootloader. Is there a way to modify the board or to create a custom design with only one USB-C connector with is both connected to USB-FS and USB-HS pins, which can be connected to a PC at startup and shows up as an DFU device when the DFU bootloader is activated at startup but later on acts as an USB-HS host when the application is started? One idea would be to simply connect both PM2/PM3 of the USB-HS phy and PM11/PM12 of the USB-FS phy together and only enable the PHY needed - either for DFU-bootloader or for the USB-HS host, but it is not clear if this is allowed and will be working. Background would be to only need one USB-C connector which normally acts as an USB-HS host but could also be use to flash the firmware via an P

Greetings, we are using a STM32F469i-DISCO development board for one of our projects. We are unable to establish Host USB OTG FS communication. The USB shows that it is idle state so we are not able to transmit or receive any communication. We want to establish a Host USB OTG FS communication from the CN13 connector on this board to a device supporting USB via a Usb mini-b connector. We are trying to physically connect these 2 ports via a 'USB micro-b' - 'USB type A female adapter' - 'USB type A female adapter' - 'USB mini b'. The libraries that we use are the ones provided by STMicroelectronics. We are also not aware of how to ensure the host device is working, What can be the issue, we need to resolve this as soon as possible. Thank you   Regards, Ashutosh

This is my first time working with any DSI/LTDC/HDMI related stuff, so I'm still figuring a lot of this stuff out and could use some help figuring out how times and clock speeds all interact. I'm using the STM32H757 Eval board.  I have it working with the on board 800x480 display and purchased one of the HDMI adapters they make for this board.  Using one of the example projects I got that displaying at 720x480 to a standard computer monitor (a 1080p capable BENQ).  I now want to increase the resolution and... can't figure out what I need to change. I am using the STM32G071. My first board is built on the G071G8UxN. This is a 28-pin version. UCPD1_DBCC2 on pin 14 PB0UCPD1_DBCC2 is also on PA10 but that's not connected on the 28-pin version. However, you can remap and replace PA12(pin 19) with PA10.  I did do that in order to use the USART1. Now my pin 19 has PA10 on it which presents USART1_RX but also a second UCPD1_DBCC2. This does not seem correct but I can't find anything that says the UCPD1_DBCC2 from PA10 is not relevant on the 28 pin version. What's the answer here?   Now I am planning to use the 48 pin version and am confused about if UCPD1_DBCC2 will move when I reassign PA10 to pin 34!? For the 28-pin board I treated it like it did not move simply because I did not notice. I haven't tested if the feature actually works or not.Actually, you can't remap this feature because it is in effect when the MCU is powered off and remapping is something that happens at runtime.
