STM32 MCUs

Hi,I am trying to modify the USBPD_Analyer Demonstration to use a fixed PDO definition in the usbpd_pdo_defs.hEventually I would like to modify it to create a source slave as it is not available in the CubeMonitor-UCPD but to begin with I am just adding the fixed sources already in the code.I have commented out #define _USBPD_PWR_IF_C      in usbpd_pwr_if.c to use the definition ofPORT0_PDO_ListSNK[USBPD_MAX_NB_PDO]  in the usbpd_pdo_defs.hand I have also added #include "usbpd_pwr_if.h" to the usbpd_pdo_defs.h as the compiler was warning of implicit declarations of PWR_A_50MA, PWR_V_100MV etc.Now when I compile the project I getmultiple definition of PORT0_PDO_ListSNK multiple definition

Hi, I am using the STM32CubeMX ver 6.13.0 to generate a USB-PD DRP application. After generating the code following this procedure for custom boards (https://wiki.stmicroelectronics.cn/stm32mcu/wiki/STM32StepByStep:Getting_started_with_USB-Power_Delivery_Dual_Role) I see that the file "usbpd_pwr_if.c" is defining the following macro "#define __USBPD_PWR_IF_C" first thing, than including the necessary header files. One of the header files, "usbpd_pdo_defs.h", is using the __USBPD_PWR_IF_C to check if there is the need to initialize the list of SRC/SNK PDOs or get them as externs.  The issue is that even though the __USBPD_PWR_IF_C is defined and the "usbpd_pdo_defs.h" header is included after the definition, the "usbpd_pdo_defs.h" header file is not seeing the definiti

Hello,I am planning to design a system using the STM32WB55CGU7 microcontroller with a supply voltage of 1.8V. As per the datasheet, this microcontroller operates within a voltage range of 1.7V to 3.6V. I would like to confirm if designing for 1.8V is appropriate and if there are any specific considerations or recommendations for this voltage level.For reference, I have attached an image of the power section of my design. In the SBSFU reference code for the STM32H753ZI controller, I came across the following function:FLOW_CONTROL_CHECK(uFlowProtectValue, FLOW_CTRL_RUNTIME_PROTECT);This function compares whether the two values are the same. In my implementation for the STM32H753ZI MCU, the uFlowProtectValue is set to 0x000030F1U.Now, I am implementing the same logic for the STM32H733 controller, but the uFlowProtectValue variable is set to 0x00005776U.So can you please guide me why I am getting different value for H733, means where this value is updated?

I want to load 320 megabytes of data into flash memory quickly.I want to write a code in stm32cubeide.for example, can a code block be created by defining a buffer and using crc?can anything be done using the stm32 processor?

I am developing a Matter device (Thread) using the STM32WB5MM-DK and NUCLEO-WB55RG.When commissioning the device using the Google Home app on a Google Nest Hub:The first STM32WB5MM-DK was successfully commissioned.However, the second STM32WB5MM-DK failed to join the Thread Network.I encountered the same issue when using NUCLEO-WB55RG.I have attached the error logs for reference.To troubleshoot the issue, I modified the Device Attestation Certificate (DAC) in the firmware and tested commissioning again:NUCLEO-WB55RG was successfully commissioned with the modified DAC.However, STM32WB5MM-DK still failed, even with the modified DAC.Questions:Is it expected behavior that the ability to join the Thread Network depends on the DAC when commissioning with a Google Nest Hub?Why does changing the DAC allow NUCLEO-WB55RG to join the Thread Network, but not STM32WB5MM-DK?Could there be differences in how the Goog

Hello everyone,I'm encountering an issue with a circuit that incorporates an STM32F103R8T6 microcontroller. In my design, the MCU's VDD domain is powered by a battery, while an external supply is used for the analog reference (VDDA). When the circuit is in standby mode with both power supplies connected, the current draw is approximately 2.8 µA. However, if I disconnect the external supply (i.e., the one powering VDDA), the battery current consumption increases to nearly 200 µA.This behavior leads me to suspect that there might be a leakage current from the VDDA domain into the rest of the circuit. Has anyone experienced something similar or can offer insights on potential causes for this discrepancy? Hello,I have a project where I work with BLE from the STM32WB55 series. I did this project using both FreeRTOS and Seqeuncer. The code content is exactly the same. However, after I put the Sequencer firmware on the processor, when I put the FreeRTOS project, BLE does not start broadcasting. However, if I load the Sequencer project, it works. This happens especially when I load the Sequencer project and then load the FreeRTOS project.Both projects normally work without problems.I wanted to do a full memory erase to solve this problem, but it was not enough. If I reload the BLE firmware on CPU1 and load the FreeRTOS project on the processor, it works without problems.Do you have any information about this issue? Is this problem normal?I would be glad if you could help.

Hi, We are trying to develop a ESC for Drones of smaller size i.e. with low payload... Currently we are using motors of T Motor Make F2004 1700KV model, Ideally we should be achieving motor speeds up to 20000 RPM , We were looking into two of STM reference design to start the development i.e. BG431BESC1 and STEVAL-ESC001-V1, Can you please help decide which would be platform suited for this kind of application... We already have BG431BESC1 with us is that suitable to go ahead with the same. Thanks and RegardsSijeo Philip

Dear All,I am a student working on a project where I'm trying to use an STM32U585 microcontroller to drive an AMOLED display with an ICNA3306 driver IC via the OCTOSPI interface. I'm quite new to this, and I've been struggling to get the device ID from the ICNA3306.I have been trying to understand the datasheets for both the STM32U585 and the ICNA3306, and I've attempted to configure the OCTOSPI based on my understanding. Hello, I created an app form my STM32H7474I-DISCO board to test SD card based on this example. I spent a couple of hours with porting it to H747I-DISCO board, but finally it worked: I could save and load a file from an SD Card. I implemented the whole thing into my TouchGFX based project on same discovery board. Hello. I'd like to debug STM32H723ZG Nucleo Board, connecting directly with PC. Instead of the basic USB-mini cable, is it possible to cut and work on the USB cable to separate it into 5V, DP, DM, and GND, and then directly connect it to the board for debugging?In the User Manual, the pins for DP and DM are PB14 and PB15.I attatched the screenshot of manual and my hardware setup. thanks. 

Looking for any suggestions.I grabbed a Nucleo_F411RE board and hooked it up to a bog standard 600PPR rotary quadrature encoder and set up a basic test program in Cube IDE. I've done this a few times with F407 boards (my MCU of choice for most projects), never had a problem, but I couldn't get it to behave properly.The code is trivial - standard TIM1 or TIM2 (tried both) encoder mode setup in CubeMX, then read the TIMx-CNT register once a second. No interrupts or anything, just standard CubeMX setup, latest CubeIDE as of today.On the F411 it was doing weird things.1. When the encoder was stationary, the count changed back and forth by one once every 500ms. 2. It consistently missed 75% of counts.I beat my head against the wall for a while trying to figure out what I was doing wrong and couldn't see anything.So, I pulled out a couple of F407VG boards (a custom one and a 307 Disco) and pulled the wires off the Nucleo and plugged th

All of a sudden,  I cannot connect to this board via stlink usb cable.  I tried pressing reset button, updated firmware, connect in every possible mode (hardware reset, core reset).  Is there a combination/sequence of pressing buttons? In other stm32 mcu I saw  a way to erase memory by connecting a resistor to reset pin and  ground momentarily.  Can this be done on this board and how?   Anything else i can try before I trash it?   Thank you for your help!

Hi, I'm working with STM32_WPAN package (attached), on STM32CubeIDE (gcc compiler). MCU: STM32WB55 There's a Compilation Warning that I don't know how to deal: converting a packed 'TL_EvtPacket_t' pointer (alignment 1) to a 'tListNode' {aka 'struct _tListNode'} pointer (alignment 4) may result in an unaligned pointer value [-Waddress-of-packed-member]. Can you please help me fixing this Warning?
