STM32 MCUs

Hello,It looks that empty check on STM32G071GB is causing some problems to my boards due to high, low signals on pins. I am trying to omit empty check procedure and program my MCU using st-link by SWD. Is there any procedure for such scenario? When connecting not powered st-link I can see that nRST is set to low which does not allow MCU to start but after connecting st-link to power it seems to reset MCU and it does empty check. The only "workaround" was to connect nRST directly to GND, connect st-link, click Connect and after ~0.5s disconnect nRST from GND.Does anyone know how to omit this empty check and program fresh MCU using SWD? Hello all,I have been working on a bare-metal implementation of the PKA engine in the STM32WBA55CG microcontroller using Rust. So far, I have been able to run modular addition and subtraction, modular exponentiation, arithmetic operations, ECC point check, ECC Multiplication and ECDSA sign and verify. However, there is an issue with the modular multiplication. Whenever I try to multiply operand_a * operand_b mod N, I get zero as a result (or some incorrect value). According to the datasheet:Simple modular multiplication A x B mod na) Compute r2modn using Montgomery parameter computation.b) Compute AR = A x r2modn mod n. Output is in the Montgomery domain.c) Compute AB= AR x B mod n. Output is in natural domainAnd the memory addresses are as follow:

The problem only happens when a constant stream of data is being send to the UART. When I update my firmware sometimes DMA won't work. It is hard to debug when it only happens when updating and not every time. This post is exactly the same issue as mine: DMA issue post In the first image below are the registers when DMA won't work. The second image are the registers when DMA is working correctly.I looked at every register and tried manually resetting and staring the DMA, but still sometimes after an update DMA won't work. I can;t find the source of why this happens and why it won't work even when I hardware reset the controller. I looked at the HAL datasheet and validated the steps needed for DMA. I'm really out of option. If someone has an idea on what to check or knows a solution

 I'm trying to design an inverter with an STM32G441CB, but it's not an available option in STMC Board Designer. Is there a workaround by using another MCU in the G4 family? ThanksAndrew

Hi,I am using STM32F469I-DISCO with touchGFX on it, and I would like to reduce power consumption. I managed to set the brightness of LCD to lowest when no user activity for more than 30sec.I am resetting brightness as soon as the user touch the screen.I would like to know if it is possible to use sleep or stop mode for reducing power consumption as much as possible. My concern is about how to wake up the system, since I need to check if user has touched the screen?Second, is using an ammeter on IDD (by removing the jumper) the right way to measure power consumption?Thanks for any help,Best regards.Clément Devevey

Hi all,For my GUI I need several circle and box progress widgets in different sizes that have a transparent background, e.g. only showing the actual progress "line" and nothing else. So far I achieved this by simply choosing a transparent PNG as background image and that works fine. However, due to the many widgets and sizes I use quite a lot of transparent PNGs which start to add up in flash size.Having PNGs using space for practically not displaying anything feels wrong, but It seems like the progress widgets only can take images as backgrounds and actually do need an image (there is obvious option to leave it blank). Is there a more flash space efficient way to achieve circle progress and boxes with transparent (or no) background?Thanks in advance!Sascha

Hello!This is written that Touchgfx widget 'Text Area' if has enabled the action 'WIDE_TEXT_WORDWRAP' then the call 'getTextWidth()' will return the width of the widest line but it returns the width of the total text area.Can you please check how to improve this?Thanks in advance!Best RegardsHafsa

 Hi ! I am using MT25Q128 on LCD screen with stm32f746 and the image comes out fine.If I use MT25Q128 instead of MT25Q256 in memory, the image is not displayed.The program modification is modified for MT25Q256 in Driver->BSP->stm32746g_discovery_qspi in cubelde.Please help me if I need to modify it in touchgfx as well.

Hi, I made a custom board with the STM32WB5MMG module. The custom board contains just the STM32WB5MMG module with pins connected to some of the GPIOs of the module.  I tried to interface this custom board with AD5940 potentiostat via SPI in order to get readings. I tested my code with the STM32WB5MMG-DK and the AD5940 board and it is working fine and I am getting the expected readings. But when I try to implement the same code with the custom board, the SPI communication fails. I am using the same pins I use in the DK board (PA1 as SPI1_SCK, PB4 as SPI1_MISO, PA7 as SPI1_MOSI and PA4 as SPI1_CS). I also tried changing the pins but the result is the same. I connected the custom board via USART pin to the computer and I get the following error in the terminal while trying SPI communication. 

Hi all, Just a question, I have one stm32wl RAK3172 chip, on this chip I have a stm32f4 connected via UART like thatSTM32F4 UART2             RAK3172 UART1 PD6               ---->            PB6.   PD5              ----->           PB7   I'm trying to communicate with ST UART bootloader without success. I've put my RAK in bootloader mode (I'm sure because I'm able to detect it with stm32cubeprogrammer mode uart connected to PA2PA3) My question is can I use PB6 and PB7 on my RAK to use uart bootloader or should I write custom bootloader to use it because basiclly stm seems to only use PA2 and PA3  

Hi, I am having some problems with my stm32H755. I tried to make a http server without FREERTOS.The problem is that my project doesn't build because fsdata.c is not found. I'm a bit lost because CubeMx generates the middleware file outside the M7 project I'm working on.In Cube MX I just enable ethernet and LWIP on the M7 core. With httpd enabled in LWIP config.

Hello,I am trying to use PC15 as GPIO input on the STEVAL-PTOOL4A. I configured it using CubeMX with pull-down resistor however the pin status is not changing in the software. I am sure my switch works well (checked on oscilloscope) and the LSE is disabled. Just I generated the code using MC Workbench and configured the PC15 as input mode. Normally it should be configured for DIR signal as per the datasheet. In addition, I have found that the J13-5 (which normally should be connected to PC15) is always at 3.3VIs there any additional configuration that should be made?Thank you for your support&n

I need a dropbox list widget and can't seem to find one in the toolkit.1. Are there 3rd party vendors that offer this or other UI elements?2. Can the existing widgets be assembled to implement a dropdown list widget?  If so, can you please explain the steps to a novice?Thanks,Alan

Currently the blue border masks the pixels on the edge so you cannot see what you are doing.Example:I want to be able to select and edit the widget while also seeing it completely.I also want to be able to zoom in more than 500% and the ability to see a pixel grid. Does the STM32H743XGH6 have a pull-up/pulldown resistor built into the JTAG pin?Is it necessary to add external resistors?We ask this question because the AN4488 application note does not cover this product.

Hello ST experts, i need help about using STM32H747i-discoI'm testing Uart Tx(DMA)-Rx(Interrupt). My goal is 10Mhz uart tx-rx.The problem is that i success 750khz, but fail to Rx when baudrate 1Mhz~10Mhz. I set the disco 480Mhz setting (hw SB setting done for SMPS -> LDO).Uart8 peripheral clock is 120Mhz(Max). Uart8 Oversampling changed 16 -> 8 sample.So i can set uart8 baudrate up to 15Mbps. I connect STM32H747i-disco CN6-D0(PJ9 uart8-rx) to CN6-D1(PJ8 uart8-tx).So if i run uart8_tx -> uart8_rx will catch.I have testing uart gpio speed low to very high but it is not work for my case.Success at 750khz. Fail at >1Mhz. Need some advise.Thank you.
