STM32CubeMonitor (MCUs)

Hello,Today I tried using STM32CubeMonitor 1.7.0 on macOS Sonoma (MacBook with M1 chip), but after installing the app opens without acq in and acq out nodes in the library, and of course it complains about missing node types when loading sample Basic_Flow (see attached screenshot).I tested it on another MacBook, with same results, and downloaded an older version (1.6.0), still with the same outcome. Windows version works fine out of the box, but my whole workflow is on a mac.Is there anything obvious I am doing wrong?Thanks,Jakub

I have followed this STM wiki tutorial about basic PD Sink. Everything is running according to it, but I am unable to see voltage and current measurement inside UCPD monitor. I have also followed the set-up of debugging button which is working correctly and prints the voltage inside trace. But the measurement graph is unfortunately blank. Where might be the problem?github: link 

We have previously used version 1.1.0 without issue but are now using 1.2.1 on Windows11.We find that the Save Graph button doesn't do anything.  We expect to see the usual save dialog but get nothing.Currently using an STLINK-V3PWR.  Previously used X-NUCLEO-LPM01A.Could this be some cached settings from the old version that need to be cleared somewhere? 

Please refer to screen shot cube Monitor overall. It all works except that the text does not display. I am expecting the numerical data displayed on the gauge would also be displayed in the Text on the dashboard but it doesn't work. Both of the single value nodes are set up the same and the Text node is set up as in the "screenshot text node".I thought that the Text node and gauge node would operate the same way on data but that seems not to be the case.  Could someone please explain what I am doing wrong. Thanks

I am new to the STM32CubeMonitor and use it for the first time for acquiring data from a STM32G0B1RETx MCU without using the IDE's Debug mode. The 'probe' is a ST-LINK/V2, connected to pins PA13 (SYS_SWDIO) and PA14 (SYS_SWCLK). The CubeMonitor reports 'p2p connected', see the MON screenshot below. However, the log file (STM32CubeMonitor.log) has many entries stating that an 'Error on connect' occurred. See the the log lines below the screenshot. The result is no data are acquired and no log file was generated.I have two questions, please:Question 1: how can a reliable connection to the ST-LINK/V2 and the target MCU be established? Is there a ST tutorial on youtube?Question 2: beside the Dashboard graphics, does the CubeMonitor offer a simple text window for displaying values, for example numbers in decimal or hex format?Thank you very much!

Hello, from what I read in the ST wiki I understand that the STM32CubeMonitor (MON) is a standalone application? A P2P connection to the 'probe' (e.g. the ST-LINK/V2) is used in this configuration.That means: it is not required that the STM32CubeIDE runs in Debug mode. Hi!I'm having problem connecting the board to a Windows 10 PC. Connecting the board to the USB it works in standalone mode, but the USB driver (PowerShield Virtual ComPort in FS Mode) is not installed, so I can't use the board with the STM32CubeMonitor-Power. Windows Device Manages tells that device drivers have not been installed, and the associated COM port is obviously not existing.Is the X-NUCLEO-LPM01A not functioning properly or am I missing something?

Something went wrong with the Energy Values in µJ yesterday.If I am not mistaken, to go from µA to µJ should be voltage*current*seconds, so 2546µA average current for 2,052 seconds with 3,3V input voltage should be 17240µJ.The monitor software said 1332,621µJ. I have no idea why. A similar measurement after restarting this morning looks ok again:

Attached is a saved power measurement. When i zoom into an area with nearly constant current (e.g. from 17,851s to 17,867 s, see picture attached) the tool states an average current of about 1500µA and about 6µJ of energy. When i recalculate the energy of this time frame manually i get about 88µJ of energy.I'm not sure if i made the measurement at 3,3V or 3,6V, but this does not matter, since the deviation is too obvious.Where is the fault?

I have installed STM32 Cube Monitor Power on Debian 12 (64 bit) and have connected a LPM01A via USB. When I run the power monitor, no board shows up in the drop down menu. I have tried the two versions of the power monitor available on the ST website.Running lsusb, I can see a device called `STMicroelectronics Virtual COM Port`, which corresponds to the LPM01A.How can I get the power monitor to connect to the LPM01A?

Do we have any example showing us getting data from serial and visualising it on the line chart?So I started exploring stm32cubemonitor. First I tried this configuration by reading directly variable register but it didn't work for me, i was getting 0 values and line charts don't make sense in this case.  I build my application on zephyrOS. So the issue may be because of that. But anyway, I dont have time to figure it out now. So I decided to move getting data from serial comport and show it on the line chart but I couldn't find any examples

Using STM32CubeMonitor v1.7.0 the Variables List (with "Expand Variable List" checked) doesn't contain a structure element which is a single-dimensioned array of (non-trivial) structures.  However, other elements of that same structure including a single-dimensioned array of (relatively trivial) structures are shown in the list.  Of course, all the information I'm interested in is held in the struct array that isn't listed, haha!  Does the elf parser need some work?Also, 64-bit integers and bitfields don't appear to be supported.

Hi,I have read (STL32CubeMonitorWiki)  how to opitmize the speed acquisition.As a conclusion, it is written that we can reach 1 000Hz for a single variable. Dumb question: is it the maximum or could it still be improved ?I'd like to reach 40 000Hz (which is my ADC acquisition frequency).Note: I am using a StLINKv2-1, with SWD port, catching a uint16 variable, continously recording.

I am using STM32H503RB nucleoboard. I have initialized project from cubeMX with default settings and only added a variable 'x' which is incremented with 100ms period. On CubeMonitor, 'x' variable value is always zero. When I debug I can see variable is incrementing. How can it be possible? By the way I am using windows 11. By the way, I realized that if I work on STM32f4 discovery, everything is okay. It seems that stlink v3 may cause problem on stm32cube monitor. It is not related with windows 11 or 10

Hello I am using 3D node but I do not understand the settings.

Good day, everyone. I am developing an application that uses the STM32 Nucleo F303RE to collect data from a machine every day. I employ STM32CubeMonitor for data processing on the data collected by the STM32 Nucleo F303RE. Since my application needs to run every day for 8 hours, my PC (with STM32CubeMonitor installed) automatically starts up and shuts down daily. However, I've noticed that the probe in node of STM32CubeMonitor fails to detect the debugger wire after a PC restart (as shown in the figure). I have to unplug and replug the debugger wire for the probe in node to detect it. Any method for me to let the probe in node detect automatically without physically unplug and replug the debugger wire?I've even tried disabling the "Allow the computer to turn off the USB device to save power" setting and turning off the USB Selectively Suspend Setting, but neither of them works.
