STM32CubeProgrammer (MCUs)

I’m working with an STM32H533 and would like to generate an SFI firmware using STM32CubeProgrammer.Is it possible to use the SFI procedure without an HSM?In particular, can the license file be generated without the card?

Hello,I have a custom PCB that uses an STM32L4R9 controller and runs two applications. One is a bootloader and other is the actual app. The files are called boot.hex and app.hex.The boards are made via a vendor and programmed with these files during ICT. We use ST Link programmer and SWD connection to program the devices.I use the ST Link V2 Utility CLI to do this.A batch file is made that runs all the commands that program the option bytes, erase chip, and programs the above files.The problem I am facing is, the batch file fails to execute the first time. It fails after the option bytes step. The second time however, it always executes and programs the applications successfully.I did wonder whether this is because the Read Out protection for STM32L4R is set to 1 from the factory? But again, I tried to revert the option bytes to factory after which I cannot read the flash memory again before setting it back to Level 0.But if I connect

Hi,When I downloaded a .hex file to my STM32H563VGT6 (1MB Flash) using STM32CubeProgrammer v2.20.0, I encountered an issue where it would erase the wrong sector. For example, as shown in the image below, it was supposed to erase sectors (76..91) and sector 115, but I found that the contents of sector 27 is erased.I also try to "Erase selected sectors" (76..116) manually, but sector 27 still be erased.However, I did not have this problem when downloading the same .hex file using an STM32H563ZIT6 (2MB Flash).

Hello,We are developing a STLDR to be used with STM32CubeProgrammer and are having what is seemingly random issues when programming hardware.We have already written the XSPI interface which works when executed in FLASH using test calls, but as soon as the interface is placed into the STLDR framework and used with STM32CubeProgrammer we are seeing failures of either the Init or SectorErase functions.Sometimes it will work after a full board reset, but not always.We have tried linking the loader at the undocumented 0x20003004 RAM address but this seemingly does not fix the issue.We have tried using our standard development IDE (not ST) which has been successful in the past, but also following the STM32Cube tutorial and repository here, replacing the QSPI calls with XSPI:https://wiki.

STM32CubeProgrammer_CLI STM32TrustedPackageCreator problem with HSM, HSM_P11_Lib.dll cannot be loaded. GUI STM32CubeProgrammer works fine. Where that dll should be located? I Am using win11 pro. 

tested an MT25QL NOR flash using STM32CubeProgrammer and an external loader.On the STM32 eval board (same MCU + same flash), read/write/erase works perfectly.On my custom board (same schematic and connections verified), I see an issue:Only alternate bytes are written/read correctlyThe missing bytes always read as 0x99Example:Writing a string → only every alternate byte is valid, others = 0x99

Hello, I am trying to connect to the STM32F072C8T6 microcontroller via USB in the STM32CubeProgrammer, however I am getting:"Device is under read out protection ! If you want to disable RDP please reconnect with Read Unprotect enabled"So, when I check the Read Unprotect (MCU) checkbox, I get:"Please Power off Power on your device."

CubeProgrammer is reading from some suspicious addresses on the stm32u031.For example, sector erase from the GUI:09:24:20:751 : r ap 0 @0x1FFF37FE 0x00000001 bytes Data 0xFFFFFFB109:24:20:755 : Flash sector erase ...09:24:20:755 : r ap 0 @0x40022040 0x00000004 bytes Data 0x0000000009:24:20:755 : Flash erase...and from the CLI:...r ap 0 @0x1FFF777C 0x00000004 bytes Data 0x00000000...Erase sector(s) ...r ap 0 @0x40022040 0x00000004 bytes Data 0x00000000Flash erase...0x40022040 is offset 0x40 into the FLASH block which is labelled as reserved in RM0503 3.7.22 Table 19.0x1FFF37FE and 0x1FFF777C are high in the option bytes block.

I am using STM32h743XIH6 MCU with qspi flash MT25QL512ABB8ESF-0SIT same as STM32H743I-EVAL. when i try to load data to qspi flash using STM32CubeProgrammer and loader MT25TL01G_STM32H743I-EVAL.stldr provided by ST, data read/write working without any on eval board. But when i try the same in my custom board with same configuration it is not working. In my custom board if I erase and read flash content i am getting data as shown in QspiFlashMemoryErase.pngWhen i write data and read it back, i am getting data as shown in QspiFlashMemoryDataWrite.pngData is being written correctly on every even bytes, but all odd number bytes are wrong and always showing as 0x99I have chechked all signals on scope, all signals are coming.i have replaced the flash IC, just to confirm IC functionality, but still not working.

Recently, I bought a clone of ST-Link V2.I am trying to program a RAK5205 board with an STM32L151CB MCU on it, with a basic program for blinking LEDs.If I use the STM32 ST-Link Utility v 4.5.0.0, open the file RAK5205_Blink.hex and program the MCU, it ends correctly and the program runs without problems on the board. If I want to completely erase the Flash memory, it does it correctly with this indication:Device ID: 0x429Device flash Size: 128KBytesDevice family: STM32L100x8xxA / L15xx8xxAFlash memory erased.Now, if I open the STM32CubeProgrammer v2.1.0, open the same file RAK5205_Blink.hex, the ST-Link v2 is recognized and connected correctly, read the memory of the MCU without problems, but when I want to program it in the same way than before, it shows the error, "Flash loader can not be loaded".What is the difference between the ST-Link Utility and the STM32CubeProgrammer regarding device dete

When connecting to our stm32n6 using a stm32 Programmer we get an unstable connection. Connecting with a low clock rate (5khz instead of 8000khz) improved the Issue but there still isn't a reliable way to connect to the board. Some retries are needed to get a connection. Also after some time the connection doesnt work entierly and the MCU needs to be powercycled.  

Hi, I'm using the STM32U5G9J-DK1 Demo Board with the STM Demo Program Ux_Device_DFU, because I need to create a specific bootloader for my board.The STM32CubeProgrammer program connects to the board via USB and I can read its memory, but the program doesn't receive information from the Flash Blocks, so programming doesn't start.If I enable the Bootloader available in the MPU's system memory, the programming via the STM32CubeProgrammer works correctly.What should I change in the STM source code to avoid this problem?Thank you in advanced

Could I erase rtc backup registers with STM32CubeProgrammer ?

I cannot get USB DFU serial boot to work correctly with STM32CubeProgrammer.I keep getting the error "Please specify Binaries path" but there is no area to specify the binary path.Does anyone have any experience with USB serial boot on the STM32N6.

Hi,I just installed STM32CubeProgrammer v2.17.0 on Linux.When I connect to the board (tried with several different ones), I get the following error;flash loader cannot be loaded. FlashLoaderPath = /home/[yadayada]/bin/FlashLoader/0xI can read the flash, I can do everything, with the exception of flashing. This fails.I first thought it might be a truncated log message. But when I just copied any of the loader files and gave it the file name "0x", I didn't get the error message. So it really looks for a file named "0x". It looks like in the code, the assembly of the file name (all the files match the pattern 0x*.stldr) I tried to do an software update, but this also fails: "The updater package on server is corrupted"  

I'm having an issue with STM32CubeProgrammer v2.22.0. I'm making an external loader for the stm32U031R8 (on the nucleo board). My spi flash code works fine in the my actual application program. If I strip my code down (removing Read,Verify, instrumentation, etc) and get it under the 8K of SRAM1, the programmer works. Hello, This is a pretty straightforward bug report. For F767 Devices, when trying to configure dual boot mode over UART, the nDBOOT Option byte doesnt appear for Cubeprogrammer versions greater than v2.14 The typically workflow is1) uncheck nDBANK2) apply3) restart/reconnect4) nDBOOT option byte appears5) uncheck nDBOOT6) apply.This works on all versions of Cubeprogrammer using an STlink - good! But when executing this same sequence using the UART Bootloader on version v2.15 to v2.22, the nDBOOT option bytes never appears after step 3.  This regression is preventing us from using newer versions of CubeProgrammer. Best,Daniel   

Hello,I tried to install STM32CubeProgrammer, but the installer always gets stuck at Step 8. I searched online and found that some people from my country solved the problem by changing the Windows region and language.However, my Windows 11 license only supports a single language, so I cannot change it.Is there any other solution for this issue?Thanks in advance.

STM32C5 unlock RDP2 need OEM key, How to use STM32CubeProgrammer to set the OEM key and RDP0 to RDP2? Please provide me with a correct operation procedure. Thank you.  

I updated the STM3CubeProgrammer to version v2.22.0, and after restarting the app, it started showing a blank page. I was also not able to close the application directly. I had to end the task from the task manager. I uninstalled the latest version and installed v2.20.0, but it is also showing a blank page. Also, in STM32CubeIDE, I am not able to run and debug code. It gets stuck at  "Download in progress". Are both problems related?

Tried making BOOT0 pin high when Reset.However , Actual plan is jump to system bootloader from User code through jump address. Regards,@STOne-32 @j_filipe 

Hello,I am working on using NRST pin in stm32g031j6m6 as GPIO, but it fails every time. I've changed many option bytes and even options present only on stm32g0x1 have workwd on my chip, except of NRST_MODE. If i want to change this option to 2 (gpio mode) and try to apply, the progress bar stays at 0% endlessly until i quit the STM32CubeProgrammer. I didn't have any problems with communication between nucleo and stm32g031. I tried to program my chip with st links built in nucleo u031 and f303, everytime without success. What else can i try?
