Posted on November 14, 2017 at 15:11I tried to simulate the evaluation circuit of the STEVAL-ISA174V1. I have loaded the VIPER0P.LIB and have integrated it in ORCAD 17.2. During simulation I get error messages. Subcircuits DAC_2BIT, DAC_3BIT, DAC_4BIT and DAC_13BIT are undefined. The library is encrypted. Therefore I can not solve the problem.A PSPICE simulation this cicuit or a similar one would be helpfull.#viper-pspice

Posted on November 10, 2017 at 13:52Hello, I'm facing an issue regarding the 3.3V line on my board that embeds a stm32. The board also embeds a radio module (WISOL SFM10R1). My problem is that at one moment my radio module seems to be blown because it no longer responds but the stm32 is still working well. So i'm suspecting my supply board that is generating the 3.3V to overshoot this voltage. This board embeds a bq25570 from TI (http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/bq25570.pdf ).So, to prevent this over voltage i intend to put a 3.3V TVS diode between the supply board and the main board (stm32 + sfm10R1) such as :

Posted on November 07, 2017 at 22:32Hi there,I would like to design a led driver to supply a load of 100W and 150W using the HVLED001A but the eDesignSuite is not calculating the right transformer. According to datasheet of HVLED001A is possible to design using two output stages to supply the leds but I have not found any reference design to help to caculate the parts for this driver. Is there any reference design using this power?Best regards,Jair#hvled001

Posted on October 31, 2017 at 00:52Hi,Please see schema below.With this circuit the cells in series are creating ~ 0.82V in office lighting.LDO2 output is only 0.5v.  This does not seem right. :)Can anyone at ST help with correct selection of R1-6 suitable for two KXOB22-12X1 in series charging a 3.7v 100mAh LiPo. Posted on October 16, 2017 at 11:00I have three doubts about if L6482 regulates the torque when we use STCK input:- If I use this STCK input, does torque regulation run? i.e. Does L6482 regulate torque using R Sense etc, when I use STCK input instead of commands? (Is it possible to use this mode for CNC systems, with software like Mach3, Mach4 which send square waveforms specific for controlling pap motors, or is it necessary to do anything more? )- Does input STCK any special requeriments, related to the pulses (length, frecuency, amplitude, waveform...) Posted on June 19, 2017 at 15:28HI!I am evaluating a bldc driver setup for a golf caddy with the stspin3201 eval board. The motor has Hall sensor, so I would like to use it, as the main (and preferably) only sensor. Is it a good idea not to use FOC, only just Hall sensor feedback? I am having problem with the motor startup period. I use speed control, and the  controller have a serious overshoot and a very long setting time. I need the lowest overshoot and the smallest setting time for this application.  I have reduced the setting time with increasing Ki constant of the PID controller, but it still overshoots, so I need some advice for the fastest startup with the minimal swing. However, I always get a Hard Fault during 'MCboot' as shown in the attachment.I am quite new for motor controlling. Please help me to figure it out how to solve this error. Just recently, with the Through-Hole package being discontinued, we switched to the surface mount version of TD351.Attached, please find a section of our print that shows the TD351 interfaced to driving an IR IRFP90N FET. Also attached, please find a data sheet for that IR FET.Our application is for the drive of an EDM Machine. There is a physical spark created through electrodes that are separated by a thin film of oil. The oil acts as a resistor and we end up with roughly 8.8A of current flowing through the FET. The current is limited by the 5-OHM resistor just outside of the spark gap.Since we changed to the surface mount version, we have had some reports of failure of the TD351. My question is: whether I can use one instead other and what are the difference's between them.
