Hi All,I am having difficulties getting both HEXSPI PSRAM (XSPI1) and OCTOSPI (XSPI2) running at the same time in a memory mapped mode on STM32H7S78-DK board.There are two examples for this board:XSPI_PSRAM_MemoryMapped that configures XSPI1 in memory mapped mode (access to external RAM)XSPI_NOR_ReadWhileWrite_DTR that configures XSPI2 in memory mapped mode (access to external FLASH)Each example runs OK separately. However, when I've ported XSPI1 code from "XSPI_PSRAM_MemoryMapped" project to "XSPI_NOR_ReadWhileWrite_DTR" project PSRAM works in memory mapped mode but external flash doesn't any more.I am finding that change in HAL_XSPI_MspInit()  that configures XSPI1 breaks operation of XSPI1 in memory mapped mode.Is there any example source code that work for STM32H7S78-DK board with PSRAM and OCTO FLASH out of the box ? 

I am trying to show a picture on the LCD of the STM32N6570-DK kit. And I want to make sure that the LTDC peripheral can directly control the LCD's demonstration and it do not need and do not contain any other ICs except the Touch control IC, right? And I want to find more files of the Touch control IC of the LCD, where can I find the information and the model of the Touch IC.Thanks a lot.

Dear all,I downloaded the schematic files for nucleo-64board(MB1136) from this page(https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/nucleo-f103rb.html#cad-resources)and opened them in Altium.However, when I tried to run a simulation, I encountered an error.I believe I need an MB1136 SCHLIB file or SPICE library filesto properly simulate this board.Could you please provide the SCHLIB file or a PSpice model for MB1136?I apologize for any inconvenience, as I am new to Altium.

Hi everyone,I'm using an STM32 timer in center-aligned mode, and I would like the counter to start from a value other than zero. Specifically, I want the timer to count from a custom value (e.g., 2000), up to the auto-reload value (ARR), and then count down again, repeatedly — like a normal center-aligned operation, but starting from a value other than 0.Is there a way to set the initial value of the counter before the counting starts, so that the up/down counting occurs between a custom starting point and the ARR value?I’m aware that I can use __HAL_TIM_SET_COUNTER() to set the counter to a custom value, but I’m not sure how it behaves in center-aligned mode or whether it interferes with the timing or alignment.Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!Thanks in advance.

What is the maximum frequency of the incoming signal? (To ensure the timer can handle it without missing counts)Answer : The frequency is measuring the spin rate of a physical system; a wind-turbine RPM or something similar.I think we can very safely say the maximum edge rate will be less than 100 kHz (heh) and probably closer to a max of 3600. 2. Today I tried to configure MIPI-DSI on STM32U5G9 using CubeMX and I did not win this first clash.MX_DSIHOST_DSI_Init() function fails executing HAL_DSI_Init() where it waits for DSI_PSR register flags PSS0, PSS1 and PSSC to be set (indicate both lanes and clock stop state) - see scrsht below.1. My first observation is that according to RM0456 section 44.14.1 "Programing procedure overview" initially PLL3 should be used as the MIPI clock source (step 2) and then it should be switched to D-PHY PLL (step 14). HAL_DSI_Init() function does not seem to follow this procedure.2. Hello, I am currently pretty stumped over the behaviour of the DMA triggered by a timer.I want to use the DMA to toggle a GPIO pin using a timer for the right frequency. I am currently using the DMA driver from Zephyr. MY board is the STM32G071RB.I want to use the TIM15 update event to trigger a DMA transfer from memory to BSRR to toggle a pin. The code setup is posted below. My problem is that this setup works for a memory to memory setup, e.g tx_data -> rx_data without problem, the callback is called with status 0 and the data is transferred.However, if I set the dest_address to BSRR, in my case to 0x50000018, nothing happens. The bootloader is functioning correctly in terms of receiving via UART and writing application code of varying sizes into flash memory . I have verified the correctness of the flash writes using the ST-LINK Utility, and the data is written as expected.However, I am encountering an issue with executing the application code after the bootloader completes its task. I am working on a project to drive a door using a PMSM motor in position control mode. I am trying to add an emergency brake function. In an emergency, when the operator pushes a button, motor should brake and then return to its starting position without harming anyone.I know there is PWMC_TurnOnLowSides() function (https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-motor-control/how-can-i-stop-the-motor-urgently/m-p/597309#M8287 ). But it is just stopping the motor, not braking. I have tried this function.As far as I know, there is no such API in position control mode.If I am wrong, is there an API to brake the motor in an emergency? Can anyone help me? Hi!I designed a shield for the Nucleo-144 (F429ZI) which provides power to the Nucleo-144 board through the E5V pin.To configure the board, I did the following:Place JP3 E5VRemove JP1Remove JP6Remove JP7Open SB169Close SB115I disconnected the ST Link part by removing diode D3.After a small modification to the NRST pin (which is somehow pulled low through the ST Link when turned off), the CPU runs.It uses the 32 kHz oscillator though, because the ST Link normally provides the high speed clock through the MCO pin.As soon as I connect diode D3 and LED LD4 starts blinking it seems to pull quite a lot more power (in such a way that it destabilizes the power supply).Connecting diode D3 and removing JP5 (basically turn off the STM32) also gives a stable situation.It seems that there is some leakage current going between the STM32 a

Moved from this thread. Hi TOlli,Hope you will see this message. I'm having trouble using FD CAN communication as simple CAN with the NUCLEO-H753ZI. I use Simulink to create my program and it gives me error when I select the "Classic Mode" for Frame Format, asking me to choose between the other two modes. Using the "not BitRate Switching" I managed to succecfully communicate with a NUCLEO-F446 with CAN, but unfortunately the NUCLEO-H753ZI doesn't receive the CAN message from the NUCLEO-F446. I'm using for both devices two CAN/FD CAN lines to check that the messages are transmitted correctly.Do you know how I might solve this problem? Thanks for your time

Hello,We have made a devboard with stm32h7s3, running at VDD = 1.8V.We are finding that a number of pins shared with the USBHS/FS peripheral (which we are using as simple GPIO) do not work properly, ie. cannot be used for digital output.This is for select pins on Port M - you can ctrl+F the datasheet for "FT_u" to find them. They seem to be pulled low though a resistor a little weaker than 10k. There is a note on page 581 of the reference manual that says"GPIOs that are shared with the USB are limited in terms of frequency, to hundreds of kHz for UCPD-based GPIOs, and up to 1 MHz for USBHS and USBFS-based GPIOs. Refer to the datsheet for the exact values. In order to be used the IO supply must be above 2.7 V for the USBHS/FS."Our initial read was that this applied to using the USB peripheral, but our findings now suggest that a >2.7V supply is required just to use the pins as GPIO? Hello.I am facing a problem: timer tim2 is not working with initialized ble and tasks and timers HW_TS (button and LED processing). Just in case, I checked that TIM16 is working, but it is busy with another task, so I can't use it. Hi,I'm working on flashing an STM32 MCU via I2C. The current setup involves a processor (host) and an STM32 MCU (G491RET6), where the processor needs to upload firmware to the MCU and perform flashing over I2C with the STM32 acting as the slave.I have a question regarding the I2C interface used during bootloader mode. The MCU has I2C1, I2C2, and I2C3 available — can any of these be used for flashing in boot mode, or is only a specific I2C peripheral supported by the STM32 bootloader?Also, for I2C1, there are multiple pin options available in the pinmux configuration. Which specific pins should be used for flashing via I2C in this case?

I have a +30V -30V input to be fed to STM32H7 ADC 16-bitI tried using a 2 resistor potential divider using 33K 3.3K ; 1K 100E, 1M 100K, resistor combinations but the output is not correctly read by the ADC. (For 3V input, ADC reads from 2.2V to 3.2V randomly fluctuating) Not constantBut if I bypass the divider circuit and feed an input less than 3.3V to the ADC pin directly, it reads perfectly (For 3V input, it reads 2.9999).Should sampling time affect the resistor values? 

Hello everyone, I'm trying to switch from loopback mode to normal mode. So the program is working perfectly in loopback mode but i had to adapt it so i can use it in the desired normal mode. I switched to the HSE as a source clock for CAN communication and I'm using PB8 and PB9 for CAN_Tx/Rx. As a transceiver I'm using the SN65HVD230 with a 120 Ohm terminating resistor and the CANH and CANL are wired correctly to an DB9 connector then to a CAN interface for analyzing. - I also checked the baud rate and i made sure that there's no mismatch. - I selected the right channel for the CAN interface - The transceiver is connected to VDD and GND - The acceptance filter is configured to let any frame pass through it - The interruption in the RX is enabled - The error I'm receiving is an acknowledgment error from the CAN interface You can find attached my project and i hope you can help me.

We are facing a critical issue with the alphabetical ordering of bitmap identifiers in the BitmapDatabase.hpp file automatically generated by TouchGFX Designer 4.25.When comparing two consecutive commits in our project, we identified that rendering problems began to occur after a UI design update. After detailed analysis, we discovered an inconsistency in the ordering of bitmap identifiers that appears to be causing these issues.I noted this issues when using a animation widget with variable BITMAP_FRAME_00_DELAY_0_07S_ID to BITMAP_FRAME_78_DELAY_0_07S_ID.
