STM32 MCUs

Hi there, I am using STM32F103c8t6 blue pill. there is a problem: when I use ST-LINK programmer to download the code to it, the PC13 LED is turned ON, without being ON in the program! why is that? One assumption is that the board is driving too much current, is that so?

Hi all,Total newbie here.I am seeing this error in Windows 11 Device Manager: "Device Descriptor Request Failed", when I plug the Bluepill to a PC using Bluepill's onboard micro-USB PortAlthough the Bluepill looks like it is running OK with the previously flashed program (Blink PC13) with power supplied via the Bluepill's onboard micro-USB, Windows is giving this error. Being a "perferctionist", I would like to see the Windows error eliminated.I have check few "solutions" on youtube and none of them seems to apply to STM32, and thus not working. Can any kindly soul please help. So

I am porting code from G473 to U575 because I need more flash and ram.Then I meet some issues on gpdma transmission size.For G473, I use dma to transfer data to timer ARR likes:uint16_t buf[65536] = { ..... };HAL_TIM_Base_Start_DMA(&htim1, (uint32_t *)buf, 65536);For U575, the code doesn't work because the size have to be 65536 * sizeof(uint16_t), not the number of buf.Is there any way to figure it out?

Hi, I'm developing a FOC board based on STM32G431RBT6 and I wanted to test the board in open loop before attempting to FOC.While testing for current sensing, I'm getting a lot of noise which messes up the measurement.I tried disconnecting the motor to be sure that the source of the noise is not the SMPS on the board, there is little to no noise on the ADCs without the motor.It looks like this when running the motor in open loop with very low RPM. With increased RPM, the noise becomes more prominent since the motor is not under any load and drawing less current at the same power, and it becomes impossible even to

Hello community, I want to generate PWM with tim8 CH1 and CH1N (complementary) but i have an issue. CH1 pwm first pulse is 2x what it must be. My APB2 clock is 84MHz and i am generating an 500kHz PWM. How to initialize well the PWM with tim 8 to have a good initialization of the CH1 1st pulse. (Also the last pul doesn't finish well for both channel if i stop and capture on oscilloscope). Best regards, 

Hi there, I am currently working on power optimization for my application. My code runs at 80MHz HSI, so in order to implement sleep mode I am dynamically changing the clock to 2MHz. After system changes to 2MHz, I am disabling the systick using the function "HAL_SuspendTick()", and i am using the function "HAL_PWRex_EnterSTOP2Mode(PWR_STOPENTRY_WFI)". Outside the main I am using the EXTI callback associated with pin pc13 i.e. exti13, to wake system from stop-2 mode. The issue I am facing is in stop-2 mode ideally it has to consume 1.1uA- 1.4uA, but for me using the above approach my current consumption is 200uA which is very high. Kindly help me out sorting this issue.

  Hello everyone,     I’m experiencing an issue with communication between two STM32WL33CC1 devices. I’m using one for LPAWUL wakeup receiver and the other for MRSUBG transmitter, but I noticed that beyond 10 meters, the communication starts failing.     Setup Details: SB1 resistor: 0Ω   -C3 resistor: 0Ω -Configured for +20 dBm PA   -Test environment: tested indoors in a hallway   The communication works fine up to 10 meters, but beyond that, wakeup packets are not received reliably.    Can everone help me solve this problem and get +/-30 stable meters?   Code LPAWUR: https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32Cub

Hello everyone,I'm new to using STM32 boards and coding with STM32CubeIDE. I have a simple task: generating two PWM outputs and adjusting the phase difference between these two PWM signals at runtime.I'm using an STM32F407 board, and from what I've gathered through online research, I need to use two timers, one in master and another in slave configuration. For the master Timer (Timer 1), I've set up two PWM channels. Channel 1 of Timer 1 is for PWM generation, and Channel 2 of Timer 1 is for triggering Timer 2, which is set to 'output compare no output' mode. I followed a tutorial on YouTube (Timer Sync Tutorial ) to configure these channels.The pulse value set in TIM1 CH2 is supposed to change the phase of the PWM generated by Timer 2. So, a month or two ago, I had an issue where my USB 2.0 wouldn't connect and kept giving an error that the device descriptor wasn't detected. I found out at the time, that it wasn't properly generated, added it and all was fixed. Well, more problems started a week or so ago. My old STM board had damage done to it, and thus I had to swap to a new one. Luckily, the add-ons (ADC and USB 2.0) were undamaged. I have a problem though. The exact same code I used for the original board does not appear to be working on this new board. The boards are close to identical, going from an STM32 h745 to a h755. I have no idea why it wouldn't work, considering it worked fine on the old board. I've tried going back in versions and so dice. It keeps either simply not showing up in the device manager when connected or gives the same old error of device descriptor wasn't detected. I'm kind of stumped and have no idea why it would be doing this. If anyone has any ideas on things to try, I'm all ears

What I need to do is a full duplex communication by receiving a packet of 32 bits and at the same time responding with 32 bits that correspond the answer to the previous packet. Those transaction happens in a "burst" of 6 transaction each every 25us , then some idle time in the order of ms and the transactions restart. During each transaction, 3 messages are sent by the master (0xA3000007,0xB3000006 and 0x93000004). My idea was to use SPI in full duplex with Interrupt mode by relying on the HAL function HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_IT(), since later I will be needing to add some elaboration in the meantime and I cannot keep the microcontroller halted for communications. I own 2 P-Nucleo-WB55 boards and dongles. I was able to program the FUS, Stack and FW in both Nucleo boards, but now I want to do the same with the dongles but I cannot program the FUS or the Stack in none of them. * In one of them I get:FUS status is FUS_IMAGE_NOT_FOUNDWarning: Firmware upgrade Error!when trying to upgrade the stack to the stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_extended_fw.bin at 0x080C7000 (in this dongle i was able to upgrade the FUS to the last version (1.2.0) using the CubeProgrammer CLI )* In the other dongle, I tried using the CubeProg GUI , but when trying to upgrade the FUS or the Stack I got FUS status is FUS_IMAGE_NOT_AUTHENTICError: Firmware not authentic!The same error got using the CLI. Hello Dear Community,I want to capture and decode a bitstream on STM32F746. The bit rate is 60ns/bit. Data is encoded using 4b5b and has a unique code for start of frame and no end of frame.What I have tried so far, is to configure TIM2 (APB1 timer clock is 108MHz) with a prescalar of 0 and counter 1. Then, each time the interrupt is fired I sample the input data: Briefly, I try to implement an oversampling mechanism. This approach seems not working. I tried to toggle a pin in the same interrupt and the maximum frequency I get is 146.7KHz. Maybe it is not possible to fire a timer interrupt higher than this frequency (NVIC latency...).How can I acquire my serial data efficiently? What will be the correct approach to implement my solution? I have seen some input capture using Timer/DMA and I am considering theme. Hello!I wonder if someone can point me to instructions on how to assign a flash memory region for TouchGFX assets on an STM32H7S78-DK, such as images and large files that won't change during an update? Currently there is a Boot and Application region setup by TouchGFX. Just need to add one for the assets so that it is not necessary to erase the whole flash and upload everything, just what is needed.Thank you

With evaluation board of STM32-P107 I have a working code for controlling led strip (or more via GPIO's of port B) of 60 leds. I am more concerned with initialization functions DMA_init, TIM2_init and the associated interrupts. In the NUCLEO-G031K8 you only have 5 channels and a timer clock frequency of 16Mhz. I want to control led strips with NUCLEO-G031K8 exactly in the same way as STM32-P107. Then the DMA's can do their job, and the controller can keep busy with other things.Can somebody convert the code in the attachment to Nucleo-G031K8?

Hello,I stumbled upon a cubemx generation issue for sdmmc2 for the stm32u5g9zjt6q (I didn't have this issue with some other stm32u5xx).For a basic cubemx configuration of sdmmc2, the HAL_SD_MspInit is wrongly generated. It is a bit annoying as I have to manually edit the file for each code generation or create my own overload function (not a huge effort I concede).In the Src/stm32u5xx_hal_msp.c, void HAL_SD_MspInit(SD_HandleTypeDef* hsd) calls __HAL_RCC_SDMMC1_CLK_ENABLE();instead of __HAL_RCC_SDMMC2_CLK_ENABLE();Same for void HAL_SD_MspDeInit(SD_HandleTypeDef* hsd) with the __HAL_RCC_SDMMC1_CLK_DISABLE()I might be the only one to experience it but I put it here just in case.
