STM32 MCUs

Hi all,I'm currently working on a project involving bidirectional communication (TX and RX), and I'm encountering an issue with the RTC initialization.The problem is that my code often gets stuck in the MX_RTC_Init() function. Interestingly, it works fine occasionally, but most of the time it hangs at this point during startup.As part of my troubleshooting, I tried disabling the RTC interrupt, and after that, the code seems to run consistently without getting stuck.Has anyone experienced something similar or have any suggestions on what might be causing this inconsistency? Could it be related to the RTC clock source or interrupt configuration?Any help or insights would be appreciated.Thanks

Hi all,I'd just like to report an error on the reference manual for RMSTM32F411 (RM 0383 Rev 3).The error is located on page 471, on section RTC Register Map.The table showcase all registers for the RCC and miss the entry for RTC_SHIFTR (located at address offset 0x2C) and also for RTC_TSDR (located at address offset 0x34).

When temperature below -15℃ , STM32WLE5CCU6 UART can't  receive any data from uart, But it can send data out from UART.,and The LoRa Unit worked well,It seems the TXCO is working. What's the problem? How can solve this problem?

I am using a STM32L031F6P6 device, with a microchip port expander:  MCP23S17,  off the SPI bus.    I am using the device in interrupt mode, so when a gpio changes state, it sets its int line, which is tied back to my stm part.   In my int handler, all I do is set a flag, which is then picked up in the main loop.  If the flag is set,  the main loop will then perform a read of the gpio device to get the port value..etc.  All of this worker 100% perfectly when I compile my app for DEBUG.  However, when I compile it under release it is not working, the values read from the port expander are bad.  Here is what I can confirm: all of the variables used in the INT hander/main loop are Volatile.Both serial(rs232 ) and SPI are working correctly under both release and debug.  I have other spi gpio devices on the same spi bus tha

Hello, ST experts The temperature sensor in STM32U595 is used for a mesurement. As datasheet said TS_CAL1 can be read at address 0x0BFA0710~0x0BFA0711. But this value is for 3.0V VREF, how is the situation if VREF and VDDA is 3.3V? How can I get the true temperature. E.g. for a chip I have the TS_CAL1 is 4130. What does that mean for 3.3V VREF? BRYang

Hi to all.I'm testing the Nucleo U031R8. To avoid the Package issue i switch also to the old package firmware version (1.0.0), but same error.The example is UART_HyperTerminal_IT  and i simple cloned (or compiled directly in the repository), then execute without cars sending on the virtual comm port.The progran stuck in function "UART_CheckIdleState", because the timeout of function "UART_WaitOnFlagUntilTimeout" is set to 0x1FFFFFFU via macro.Is my new board damaged or similar? I've tried to rebuild the project via CubeMX (even in the recent 1.2.0 libs). No way. Thanks.

Hi.In AN5593, How to use the GPDMA for STM32 MCUs, on page 31, it says:"For some application needs, a timer request to GPDMA can be used to initiate a data transfer not involving timerregisters read/write, but other memory-mapped location, like for memory‑to‑memory transfers."How exactly do I do this?My precise use case: I have an 8*3 LED matrix, with the 8 rows connected to PA0:7. I have a uint8_t[3] of the data I want displayed and TIM8 configured at the frequency I want to update the columns at.Thanks for the help!

I am starting to experiment with stm32f411vet6 (discovery), I have passion for STM32, looking forward to learn and help.When I turn on UART 6 and test, the default pins are PA9 and PA10, however it doesn't work (some error characters like question mark appear and don't work anymore). However when I switch PA9 and PA10 to PB3 and PA15, UART 6 works fine.I tried setting PA9 and P10 with output feature then PA9 and PA10 work properly. So what are the possibilities why PA9 and PA10 don't work with UART mode? And how to test it?Thanks!

I can't get TIM15 or TIM17 to work on a Nucleo-F302R8 board. If I examine the peripheral memory where TIM15 (0x40014000) and TIM17 (0x40014800) should be, I always read back all zeros.For example, using gdb I write to the timer's ARR register and then read back:For TIM15: set *0x4001402c =0x5a5ax/20xw 0x40014000 returns all zeros.For TIM16: set *0x4001442c =0x5a5ax/20xw 0x40014400 returns the expected value at 0x4001442c.For TIM17: set *0x4001482c =0x5a5ax/20xw 0x40014800 returns all zeros.According to the stm32f302r6-8.pdf data sheet, the STM32F302R8 has both TIM15 and TIM17 timers. Hello,I would like to program the STM32U031 with OpenOCD on the NUCLEO-U031R8. However, I cannot find a proper target configuration in the list provided by /usr/share/openocd/scripts/target/I tried stm32f0x.cfg, stm32g0x.cfg, stm32l0.cfg and stm32u5.cfg and no one worked... The farther I was able to go was with stm32l0.cfg which crashed at the step:STM32L0: Enabling HSI16I tried the interface configuration file stlink.cfg and stlink-v2.cfg and both gave the same results...I looked online to find the proper stm32u031 target configuration file for openocd but I wasn't able to find it.Can someone please help me find the proper file ?Thank you!

Hi, I'm using a STM32L031K6 with platform.io & arduino framework. I know this forum is not relevant to platform.io or arduino, but most of my code is with LL drivers which should change nothing (but maybe ?). First, i don't understand the IRQn. I'm using PB1 as input interrupt on rising, it's on line 1, so to start, it should be : NVIC_EnableIRQ(EXTI0_1_IRQn, NVIC_EncodePriority(NVIC_GetPriorityGrouping(),0, 0)); //as refered : EXTI0_1_IRQn = 5, /*!< EXTI Line 0 and 1 Interrupts But the interrupt work only if i enable EXTI2_3_IRQn. Hi,I am using the continuous mode of the ADC to continuously sample a channel and transfer the data by DMA. I have set the ADC frequency to 32 Mhz , and the sampling CLK to 3.5 CLK. According to the manual , the whole sampling conversion time should be 0.5us. But based on the difference between the data I got  and the actual waveform, I assume that the interval between each data is much longer than 0.5us.What I want to confirm is whether the ADC is able to do the sampling interval up to 0.4us（The manual claims that） in continuous mode. if not, how should the time be calculated.Thanks

Hi,I am trying to add a LCD with 24-bit RGB interface and an external SDRAM(IS42S32400F, a variant of the chip used in F746Disco board) to our STM32F767BGTx based product. So far I have read AN4661(Getting started with STM32F7 Series MCU hardware development) and several posts on this forum and on stackoverflow as well. Before I start to route the PCB, I have a few questions hopefully community members can help clarify:1) How to route FMC_SDCLK trace? AN4661 states that we should "Avoid using serpentine routing". My understanding is that there are only three basic patterns for length tuning: accordion, trombone, sawtooth. Does this mean we can only use sawtooth pattern on FMC_SDCLK trace? Because the other two patterns both involve back and forth (serpentine).2) What does "±10mm within data/address group" mean? Does that mean the shortest trace within a group can be as much as 20mm shorter than the longest trace in the group?3) Whether length matching is

Hello,I would like to enable and disable certain interrupts pertaining to the GPDMAs within my program at times. Particularly the transfer complete interrupt. I would assume that I should be able to simply change the register value with GPDMA2->C0CR &=~GPDMA_C0CR_TCIE; but it appears that im only allowed to reference the SECCGFR, PRIVCFGR, RCFGLOCKR, MISR, and SMISR registers. Why is this the case? What must I do to be able to disable the TCIE interrupt? I have tried to use __HAL_DMA_DISABLE_IT(&hdma_adc2, DMA_IT_TC); which throws a hard fault.Thank you!

 we are working  stm32wle5ccu6. In than I am trying to put device in power saving mode but its not working properly.I was getting 15 mA consumption before now after reducing clock freq, I am getting 5.51mA.. we want to achieve consumption in microamps,I tried Stop mode and even sleep mode. But in that mode also the consumption stays same as 5 mA, and also the pulse count stops.We need GPIO to run continuously so that we get pulse count correct.can someone help on this. 

Hello everyone,I use the NUCLEO-H743ZI2 board in my project and previously, Before I've used the MBed OS - it works well on this board, just I need to maximize TCP transfer speed as well as QSPI. So I decided to try another RTOS. After reading forums, I decided to try the Azure RTOS and Cube IDE. I chose the Nx_TCP_Echo_Echo_Server example as a starting point. I reconfigured it to use with NUCLEO-H743ZI2, and also I disabled DHCP as I don't need it. I'm a beginner working with the STM32 Nucleo-L4R5ZI-P board and trying to set up ADC with DMA to sample an audio signal into a buffer. However, my DMA callback functions like HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback() and HAL_ADC_ConvHalfCpltCallback() are never being triggered.I’ve set up ADC1 with DMA in circular mode, enabled continuous conversion, and called HAL_ADC_Start_DMA() in main(). The DMA1 Channel1 global interrupt is enabled in NVIC, and __HAL_LINKDMA(&hadc1, DMA_Handle, hdma_adc1); is included in HAL_ADC_MspInit(). The DMA1_Channel1_IRQHandler() is present in stm32l4xx_it.c and calls HAL_DMA_IRQHandler(&hdma_adc1) as expected.I also tried using a timer (TIM2 with TRGO on update event) to trigger the ADC instead of software start, but the callbacks still don’t fire. Hi everyone, I’m working with the STM32H747I-DISCO board and its onboard QSPI flash (Micron MT25QL512ABB). I’m encountering a frustrating issue:  Problem: Writes to even addresses (e.g., 0x90000000, 0x90000002) work perfectly. Writes to odd addresses (e.g., 0x90000001, 0x90000003) either fail silently or corrupt data. What I’ve tried: Configured QSPI in 1-line and 4-line modes (with/without Memory-Mapped Mode). Ensured sector erasure (4KB) before writing. Used both PAGE PROGRAM (0x02) and QUAD PAGE PROGRAM (0x32) commands. Verified signals with an oscilloscope (no obvious timing issues). I am using this sample codes:
